Fengjiancun Village is surrounded by water, the river is shaped like a well, running from south to north across the ancient village into Xijang tributaries. The village cuts into several small sand islands. People have lived here since the Western Han Dynasty, and later developed the place into a market, and in the Tang Dynasty, it has become a village. Fengjiancun reached its peak in the late Qing Dynasty, with a population of 10,000. There were three silk reeling markets and more than 300 weaving machines, with more than 1500 individual workers. The place was also known as Little Guangzhou.

Longzhou shuochang 龙舟说唱 (dragon boat narrative singing) from Guangdong, China
A video about longzhou shuochang (龙舟说唱), also called longzhou ge (龙舟歌), a genre of traditional narrative singing from the Pearl River Delta of Guangdong province, southern China.
Probably filmed in Fengjian Water/Canal Town (逢简水乡), Xingtan town (杏坛镇), Shunde District (顺德区), Foshan, central Guangdong province, southern China, c. December 2010.
From the Guangzhou government website:
Dragon Boat Songs emerged slightly later than Wooden Fish Songs. There are two accounts regarding their origin. According to one account, the songs were created by the offspring of a once-wealthy family in Shunde County [in Foshan, central Guangdong province] during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1736-1795). In another account, the songs were composed by the Heaven and Earth Society during the reign of Emperor Kangxi as part of the anti-Qing efforts. The songs are typical of ballads in watery towns and immensely popular in the Pearl River Delta region.
Historically, Dragon Boat Songs were mostly sung by blind beggar artists on ferry boats in a low-pitched rising and falling tone, accompanied intermittently by gongs and small drums, and featuring funny lyrics. The singers also held a wooden model of a dragon boat in hand, hence of the name Dragon Boat Songs. Traditional Dragon Songs are grouped into multiple categories, including mythical, historical, romantic, and lyrical.
In 2006 the tradition of longzhou shuochang, centering on Shunde District (顺德区), Foshan, central Guangdong province, southern China, was included in the first batch of 518 traditions inscribed in the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of China (第一批国家级非物质文化遗产名录) by China's State Administration of Cultural Heritage (SACH, 国家文物局), an agency under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture (中华人民共和国文化部) that was formerly known as the State Cultural Relics Bureau (国家文物局文化部).

Shi Pan Village Boxing, Guangdong Province III [广东: 石盘村 拳法 III]
Practice of Boxing from Shi Pan Village.
Along the North Coast of Guangdong Province just south of Chaozhou and Shantou lies Pu Ning County/city....in which lies Shi Pan Village. Here in addition to the rare Tiger Lion Dancing, they practice an old traditional chinese boxing. This art is thought by some to be the same as practiced by Huang Linjiao (Master from Hai Feng which lies further south from Shi Pan village on the way to Hui Zhou) who was the teacher of Lin Qingyuan (father of Dragon Style Founder Lin Yaogui (Lum Yiuguai) and Lin He (Teacher of Zhong Li Quan (Cheung Lai Chun), founder of Bai Mei).
The techniques are raw but show similarities to core Dong JIang (White Eyebrow and Dragon) methods.
