Red River Camping Trip Hike to Middle Fork Lake 6 11 2019
The hike to Middle Fork Lake via Middle Fork Trail 91 is a moderate level hike under good conditions but add to that an out-of-control stream and an upper snow-packed trail and suddenly the level becomes strenuous. That said, the visit to the alpine lake is definitely worth the effort, wet boots and all. The trail ascends 1200 feet to an elevation of 10,880 ft. over a 2 1/2-mile stretch on an old logging road with numerous switchbacks. The road climbs at an 8% grade so you'll need to stop and take many breaks during the ascent. In summary, it's a hike worth doing and repeating.

Tent rock State park - New Mexico HD
Viaggio in USA 2012...
Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument
Road Ready Campground Reviews | Cochiti Recreation Area | Santa Rosa New Mexico
Our last stop before the annual Albuquerque Balloon fiesta was this awesome Core Of engineers Campground on Cochiti Lake. This lake side campground offered great views, water and electricity for a very good price! With the National Parks pass we got this great place for $12 a night! Its about 40 minutes North of Albuquerque and 30 minutes south of Santa Fe.

NM True TV - Pecos River Fly Fishing
You could call it the best fly fishing on either side of the Pecos, since you’re casting your flies while standing in the river’s bubbling mountain water. Michael and the NM True Crew find they like the area almost as much as the fish seem to. In this case the fun of the fishing might actually distract your attention from the beauty that surrounds you.

Robledo Mtns Slot Canyon-A New Mexico True Experience
Just north of Las Cruces the Robledo Mountains offer scenery from a distance, but adventure to anyone willing to get up close. The slot canyons cut into the terrain outside Radium Springs make for terrific hikes and a few surprises, even for longtime locals.
Southwest Expeditions led this small group of explorers into one of those slot canyons. It is five miles north of Radium Springs on Hwy 185. Just past the 19 mile marker there is a green metal pipe gate on the west side of the road. We climbed the gate to begin our walk to the canyon, and the round trip was only about a mile-and-a-half. The walk is easy with only a few small climbs and narrow points. We encountered hikers with dogs and children on our venture.

LARGEST Gila Trout Caught and Released on YouTube? Fly Fishing for RARE Gila Trout in New Mexico
The Gila trout is a rare species of trout native to New Mexico and Arizona. In 2006 the Gila trout was still listed as an endangered species but after an extensive re-stocking effort by the Mora National Fish Hatchery, they have made quite a comeback and are now only classified as threatened. Gila trout have also been stocked in a handful of lakes throughout the two states since 2006, presenting anglers with a unique opportunity for catching Gila trout. Considering that the Gila trout is a river and stream fish in the wild, being in larger bodies of water could cause new state and world records. It’s an exciting time to catch these golden beauties.

These Huge Wooden Structures Are Baffling Forest Officials In Santa Fe National Forest
These huge wooden structures are baffling forest officials in Santa Fe National forest. We take a look at these huge wooden structures in Santa Fe national forest.
Often times in countries that have a beautiful countryside or an incredible scenic and historically important area of wildlife, efforts will be made by the government to preserve this beautiful slice of nature in the hopes of allowing the public at large to enjoy its unaging beauty for centuries to come. They do this by establishing federally protected locations that prevent further developments of any kind that could damage the protected area known as a national park or wildlife preserve.
There seems to be a large amount of mysteries surrounding national parks. An almost disproportionate amount given any other area it is compared to regarding visiting populations of any kind.
Thank you for watching!

wetrezunderwatercameras Gopro Video Competition Entry. My first video ever. Made with my new Gopro camera.
My son Thomas and his friend Dillon carried a pontoon float tube over a mile to the lake. And then all the way back to the parking lot. It was heavy. We had several trees that were blocking the trail that the boys had to climb over. On the way back we took a different route and that was a bad idea. We had to hike through mud, four feet of five month old snow and cross several deep creeks. All in all we had a blast! We went to video record and have fun, and we did. It was awesome, we can't wait to do it again. Maybe next time Colorado.
