Fes cooking class By moroccanfoodtour.com #cookingclass
You want to discover the culinary traditions of Morocco? We invite you to come out of the skin of the surface tourist and make true cross-cultural and gourmet encounters.
For this Cooking Class session, the guide will take you to our partner RestauRiad “RIAD NAZHA” in the morning, just after a short visit of the old Medina where he will provide you with all kinds of explanations about the ingredients, traditions and customs related to the moroccan food culture. Feel free to ask your questions and share your culinary experiences. The more you interact, the more you will discover!
The staff will welcome you in its typical Moroccan restaurant for a multicultural meeting that will offer you the opportunity for a unique exchange.
For a few hours, you will be part of the “Chef” brigade, which will give you the great and small gastronomic secrets of the culinary art of the city of Fes, its traditions and its origin. You will be accompanied throughout this experience in order to familiarize with the techniques of Moroccan gastronomy and the presentation of gourmet plates.
At the end of the workshop, you will have the opportunity to taste the full menu (Salad, Main meal, Dessert) that you have prepared, served with a lot of love and hospitality, before receiving a certificate of success around a friendly and joyful Moroccan tea.

Chefchaouen to Fes | Visiting the Old Medina and tanneries of Fes
After an 4.5 hour drive from Chefchaouen, the gang reaches our glorious riad in Fez (that had a bar in it....success!) We earn our medina legs finding our way around the largest car free urban area in the world, and try to hold our cookies while we check out the incredible roof top tanneries full of men standing in vats of pigeon poop (luckily this was before lunch).
Kate, Kris & Ryan take a cooking class in a local home, and we all made it to Nur Restaurant where chef Najat shows off her El Bulli skills.
Warning - there are animal bits and bobs in the market that you may not be used to seeing.....but that's what travel is about, right?!
Date: December 26-30, 2018
VLOG6| WE ATE A CAMEL MEAT!!!! Fes, Morocco
As we ended our Moroccan travel, we headed to Fes, a distant city from Marrakech. We had some unfortunate events but we still managed to pull it through and enjoyed the trip! We ate a baby camel's meat! A special delicacy in Fes. Enjoy watching!

Morocco is delightful for solo traveling. Sure it's easy to feel overwhelmed by the souks at first, but after the first day when you learn your way, understand bartering etiquette and you save yourself from being bothered by vendors by wearing earbuds, allowing you to pretend not to hear them, well, it's all easy peasy.
