Spectres Live+Interview (Fiddlers Club)
Spectres are an aural chainsaw to the face, Bristol's patron saints of Tinnitus and- at this particular show- were sharing a dressing room which was currently in use, meaning we had to find somewhere else to do the interview...
Featuring clips of 'Where Flies Sleep', 'This Purgatory' and 'Mirror', they talk about their hometown of Barnstaple, the 'beauty' in noise music and more. Watch, and be culturally enriched.

Go Away Picasso (by Gillian Welch and David Rawlings live in Bristol, UK '02)
Go Away Picasso ~ riffs on a photo of flowers taken by my sister Andrea. The soundtrack is a live performance of Go Away Picasso at Fiddler's Club, Bristol, England on 12-4-02 by Gillian Welch and David Rawlings. This song has not appeared on any of Gillian and Dave's albums, and this is the only recording of it that I know of. The composers may be them. That is my guess. Click on the X to close the ad, if any.
It is my hope that I will be able to share this wonderful performance in this video without complaint. If any rights holder complains, I will take the video down. No copyright infringement is intended; the rights to this music should be owned by the artists but are controlled by the record companies and music publishers. Since I am using this music for non-commercial purposes to educate those not familiar with these wonderful musicians and to share it with those who have not heard this gr eat performance, I would hope it is considered fair use under Section 107 of the Copyright Act of 1976.

For my first Who bootleg on this channel, I chose one of my favorites - The Bristol 1969 bootleg with half the recording missing! Their performance is top of the game here, and we're lucky we have such great audio! I'm not 100% sure the setlist I have listed is correct as it's just the setlist from Amsterdam 1969. Apparently, The Acid Queen was recorded, but I cannot find it. Note that this was one of the last concerts of the 60's from The Who.
From Robert Goodhand: By this time on one hand the Who had become a hard rock band having
ditched a lot of bland material but on the other had gained establishment respectability. The Hippodrome was essentially an opera house and here they were hosting a rock band - albeit to play a rock opera. They performed Tommy in full except for two tracks (I forget which). Then after a raptuous reception they launched into a half hour burn of key hit singles. There were a group of hippies in one of the boxes stage right and toward the end one threw a smoke bomb onto the stage. At that point management thought it a good idea to shine the spotlight on them as various attendants converged to eject them. The lad immediately stood up turned round and mooned at everyone before they were hustled out. Pete apologised (we don't do smoke bombs anymore but did you see the
pimples?). A memorable night.
Pictured is possibly them at this very concert. If not, it's definitely sometime in late 1969.

Pete Townshend - Guitar, vocals
