ABBOTSFORD & THE FRASER VALLEY | a guide to everything you need to do in the area
Hello friends! If you follow me on instagram you may have seen that I was in Abbotsford a couple weeks ago! Davey and I were lucky to go to Abbotsford and the surrounding Fraser Valley for a couple days with Flair Air, to do an escape 48 challenge and experience as much as we could in the Fraser Valley! I was blown away by the people, the area and how much fun we could have in 48 hours. If you haven’t been to Fraser Valley before I’m sure you know about Bloom, the Abbotsford Tulip Festival but you may not know about the incredible restaurants, shopping and excursions the area has to offer. You may not even know that you are right near a Sasquatch! Be sure to watch full video to see if we found one, as well as all we were able to squeeze into 48 hours. Let me know what you think down below!

One More Round Review - Field House Brewing Sour Double IPA
Sour...Double...IPA?
After the disaster of their Dutch Pale Ale, I was beginning to think Field House had gone totally mad. Will this beer prove me wrong?
Please forgive any camera shaking. My older cat was trying to tackle the tripod.
One More Round Review - Field House Brewing Cuvee Blanc Farmhouse Ale
Miller calls itself the champagne of beers. Field House Brewing called them up and said, Hold my (Limited batch craft) beer, I'm going to try something.
The result is something a bit more literal and lot more delicious
Is Langley... BC's Next Craft Beer Boomtown?
2019 is poised to be a VERY BIG year for craft beer fans in my home town of Langley, British Columbia. There are four new craft breweries opening up this year and all of them are currently under construction.
Join me as I drive to each of them and spend some time with brewery owners and brewmasters who graciously took some time to show me around and paint a picture of what their breweries will look like on opening day.

First Ever Beer Tasting Maze: Abbotsford, BC (Abby Roadside)
*Disclaimer: I was not paid or invited to try out the maze by Abby Roadside, all opinions are my own :)*
Hey everyone,
It's Fall! One of my favourite seasons of the year (minus the rain in Vancouver) with colourful leaves, cider, layered clothing, horror movies, Halloween, Christmas just around the corner...I could continue forever.
This year Abby Roadside in Abbotsford organized their first ever Beer Tasting Maze, that's right, you can get lost in a field while getting drunk. I figured this sounded like the perfect Autumn activity to do and if you live in BC and love beer you could check it out too!
The maze is running from September 30th 2016 to October 23rd 2016, so you still have time. To learn more you can click on their website here:
That's it for today, see you next video! :)

// Jenny Banai - jennybanai.com
It all began with a timid little girl who sang because she wanted to and not because anyone was listening. Then at the age of ten Jenny Banai picked up her great grandfather’s violin, the strings of which would ring out once again after having fallen silent for so long. Since then she has never stopped playing or singing. Entering her twenties, she discovered within herself a pearl of poetry, a journey of honest liturgy. As the story continues to unfold, it became evident to unveil her songs. October 2015 Jenny released her carefully crafted debut album, ‘flowering head’. She collaborated with Vancouver’s, Jordan Klassen and Daniel Klenner to delicately arrange a colourful yet preserved intimate sound to suit her unconventional melodies, woven together with words of passion for life, love and the Author of both. If anyone wants to hear music like it is the first time again, or if anyone needs to be awakened somewhere deep inside, listen… for haunting violins fading in from the distance--the tinkling of a ukulele round a midnight flame--the strum of a guitar as it swells and stills like the waves of the sea. Her voice is radiant like the sun with the solace of a wind chime. Jenny’s voice is scarlet.
// Bre McDaniel - bremcdaniel.com
Bre McDaniel is an interdisciplinary artist born and based in beautiful Vancouver. Constantly in awe of the world around her, she can't help but draw, paint, and sing about life as it happens. The smokey softness of her voice can be tissue-paper delicate, haunting, or beaming with soulful conviction— reminiscent of Fiona Apple, Cat Power or a piece of suede. She is a breath of fresh air in Canadian music and her roots are close by; her mother (Betty Chaba) was an acoustic singer-songwriter too. They were both born on the same date as an annual meteor shower.
In 2013, Bre completed a degree in visual arts and released her first recordings. The Hello Starlight EP was a collaboration with her oldest brother that fuses folk songwriting sensibilities with electric textures. With the production help of Jordan Klassen, a new six song EP was released March 4th called Light Pollution. Light Pollution is a thematic collection of dream-folk songs that all relate to perceiving light and value: starlight, embers, the refraction of precious gems, ethereal and darkened cities.
