Yorkshire Wolds Railway - Sponsored Walk through Wharram Percy medieval village, East Yorkshire.
A short video to show another side to railway volunteering as it isn't all spannering !
Many tasks take place in the background to make things happen successfully on the day at special events.
This is a fundraising walk that also enables YWR members to mix socially away from the immediate concerns of running a heritage railway.

Enjoy NYC Without Going Broke! Alexis Taylor Concert from Hot Chip
From HappyCouplesAcademy.com
In this episode of Enjoy NYC Without Going Broke we spent the evening at Le Poisson Rouge enjoying a concert by Alexis Taylor from Hot Chip.
The venue was intimate with an eclectic and chill feel. DJ Val-Inc was the opening act. Her genre is Afro-Electronic. We loved her music and her look. Alexis Taylor was awesome.
We had great seats and it felt so cozy and warm listening to him playing on a piano. It was like being at a friends house listening to them play the piano. We loved his cover song of Dancing in the Dark by Bruce Springsteen too.
The $20 tickets which included seating at at table seemed quite reasonable. As with most places in NYC you can run up quite a bill depending on the food and drinks you order. Le Poisson Rounge has an impressive concert series. We plan to see more concert there. Our only caveat is it is probably best to eat before and limit drinks if you are on a budget.
Hope you enjoy this episode, we included his cover of Dancing in the Dark. Most importantly we hope this gives you ideas for how to Enjoy NYC Without Going Broke!
