KINKY- KALINKI TRANSRUSSIAN EXPRESS is a 26 min. début documentary film showing the bridges between the buzzing art, music, club scene and the City of London - a daily collaboration yet contradiction.
The arts and their inspirations is a universal language everyone understands whatever cultural, ethnic or religious background, and this unites different working professionals.
Interaction and connections between the City, the arts and music on an everyday basis are showcased through different links and parallels, as a cross-section through society.
London as a cultural mix seen through a foreigner's eyes adds new spicy perspectives to the film. The combination of a certain naivety and supreme confidence makes this film quite human and disarming.
Most of the film heroes are Russian born professionals, living and working in London. Their jobs and strong characters contributed to understanding between the nations as well as supported cultural scene and economy in London.
To give London Russians faces and show them in everyday working environment explained 'The Russian Phenomenon in London'. That example of successful collaboration and integration has only been possible because of a liberal policy of City of London, British Government and visionary mind on Londoners.

Russia is 3X larger than the US, and has more square kilometers of sunny areas than the US, along its southern boarder.
If Russia would build a million new 100-panel solar homes in the next 9 years, they could achieve 50% of their energy for homes, & all needs.
Add their massive wind potential,
plus huge hydro resources and Russia could be at 70% renewable energy by 2020.
Then they could shut down all oil drilling & nukes.
Oil companies are attempting a Coup in the US
against groups building 100-panel solar homes.
Inevitable.
Best tool for fighting fracking is to build 100-panel solar homes.
Do not protest fracking
unless you are first building a 100-panel solar home.
Voting changes nothing. If it did, it would be illegal.
Building 100-panel solar homes changes everything.
And you have the power to build a 100-panel solar home.
Rally in Philly Sun. 24 July.
Bring a sign:
Build 100-panel solar homes
to ban fracking
& stop oil wars.
Wear yellow for the 24 July rally in Philly.
Russia is developing wind energy as rapidly as it can sell its oil to China, India, Brazil, S. Africa and Germany.
In 2010 Chancellor Angela Merkel met President Putin and they signed an agreement to trade oil for large commercial wind mills in Yeisk, on the Sea of Azov.
Siemens is suppling the advanced wind turbines. 9,000 of which are now being built across Russia.
The main policy Russia needs to establish is a Solar & Wind Payment Policy to require state Utilities to pay $0.49 kwh for wind and solar. Like Germany, Japan, China,
Maine & California have done.
This law, written by Hermann Scheer
& Hans Joseph Fell
& Diane Moss, is the best policy
ever developed by humans yet to speed the development of solar & wind.
This will give power, money & energy to the 99%,
the working class
& take power from the 1%.
It is inevitable solar & wind will replace gas, coal, oil & nukes in the next 20 years.
The Russian Wind Energy Association predicts that
if Russia achieves its goal of having 9.5% of its energy come
from renewable sources by 2020, the country will have a total
wind capacity of 7,000 MW.
Russia is estimated to have a total potential of 100,000 TWh/yr for wind energy, 9,000 TWh/yr of which is economically feasible.
Most of this potential is found in Murmansk, the southern steppes and the seacoasts.
Saudi Arabia is building a new 400% solar powered city every year, by selling as much oil as it can drill.
Venezuela needs to copy this model.
Cuba has huge wind potential from its coasts.

Discussion: Art in Exclusion Zones during the Garage Triennial of Russian Contemporary Art
Discussion: Art in Exclusion Zones at Garage during the Garage Triennial of Russian Contemporary Art.
In response to the growing interest in the intersections between art and politics, Garage Museum of Contemporary Art invited visitors to a discussion of aesthetic means of resistance, trauma mitigation and artistic collaboration in a situation of growing tension.
The map of the world is changing, and as borders between the states are being redefined, ‘zones of exclusion’ emerge in areas of greatest political and cultural tension.
Regardless of the roots of social conflicts, they tend to result in growing xenophobia, which can put contemporary art on the brink of survival.
What can an artist do to overcome the alienation and disregard for contemporary art in an increasingly conservative society? How can our cultural policies help people who inhabit these ‘exclusion zones’?
Discussing these questions will be art theorists and practitioners from Russia, neighboring countries, and Eastern Europe, affected by recent geopolitical conflicts.

Russia: Putin awards Presidential Prize to young artists on eve of Day of Worker
Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the Head of State prize for children and youth for works in the fields of literature and art at the Kremlin in Moscow, Friday.
The laureates of the award for young artists were awarded to artist Vera Lagutenkova and actor Anton Shagin, as well as the director of the State Museum of Primorsky Region, Viktor Shalay. The laureates of the presidential award were awarded to film director Vladimir Grammatikov, animator Leonid Shvartsman and writer Anastasia Orlova.
SOT, Vladimir Putin, President of Russia (Russian): Good afternoon, dear friends, dear laureates. During all times, it was important to seek and find an artistic language that would be understandable and interesting to the younger generation and that would help them to realise the importance of such values as patriotism, justice, generosity, friendship and just decency.
SOT, Vladimir Putin, President of Russia (Russian): I want to agree with our most deserved laureate about the need to improve the intellectual property rights protection system and what exactly needs to be done is the transparency of the whole process.
SOT, Vladimir Putin, President of Russia (Russian): It is a great happiness for people who are engaged in these activities. It is really a great happiness, there is nothing, it seems to me, more enjoyable than being engaged in creativity. And if this creativity is combined with talent, then this brings pleasure not only to those who do it, but to millions of other people.
SOT Vladimir Putin, President of Russia (Russian): You have achieved impressive results and proved that they can be achieved only through hard work and enthusiasm for the business you serve. I sincerely thank you for the significant contribution to the development of the culture of Russia and I wish you new successes. Thank you for your attention.

What's left of communism? How big are the differences between the poor and the rich? What is the influence of corruption? Is Russia a young democracy (as former Dutch prime minister Jan Peter Balkenende previously said)? Is it a sovereign democracy (according to Putin) or a fascist regime (as read in The Economist)? Jelle Brandt Corstius is looking for the topics that rule the life of ordinary Russians in Russia.
