Portwrinkle Beach
Portwrinkle Beach (also known as Hoodny and Finnygook Beach) is located in south east Cornwall near Seaton and Whitsand. Portwrinkle is a small fishing village which once used to be a thriving place to visit, however now it is popular for its quietness and calm beaches. Portwrinkle has a small beach and high tide, and is very popular with snorkellers. At low tide, the sea can go out quite a distance, to reveal a rocky ledge which runs across the entire beach exposing many rock pools for children to enjoy.
More about this beach:
•Dog friendly from October 1st - Easter Day
•Easy access to the beach via a steep path
•Limited car parking less than a minute away at a road side car park
•Cafe and toilets available on the road opposite the beach
The access to Portwrinkle beach is down a very steep path, and can be challenging for anyone with limited mobility.

Dashcam Driving into Portwrinkle - Cornwall
06.45am.... 6th July 2019. lovely drive through Crafthole and down into Portwrinkle.
Portwrinkle (Cornish: Porthwykkel) is a small coastal village in south-east Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is at the western end of Whitsand Bay five miles (8 km) south-west of Saltash.
Portwinkle was traditionally a fishing village and the old 17th century walls of the pilchard cellars are still standing, although they have been incorporated into housing. The village has a harbour and two beaches are accessible from it. Although the village has no shops, apart from the beach car park cafe, there is a post office in nearby village of Crafthole. There is however, a hotel named the Whitsand Bay hotel.

Finnygook Beach, Cornwall
Looking for a dog-friendly beach in Cornwall? Well, we were, and found Fiinygook Beach on the south coast. This video was shot in the middle of May and it was pretty much deserted (although it does get a lot busier later in the season apparently). It's quite a descent to get down the cliff and, although the path is clear and concreted, there are no steps - you decide if that's a positive or a negative!
Either way, the beach is dog-friendly all year round with appropriate bins, and there's a cafe atop the cliff and a small village a mile or so up the road with a pub.
