Hakugin-dou Itoman's Local Fisherman's Shrine
Hakugin-dou is a small shrine dedicated to the local sea god. At the time of the lunar New Year, many people visit it to pray for safe voyages and bountiful catches.
During the 'Itoman Harley' (Dragonboat Races) the famous festival in the fishing town of Itoman, the local deity is enshrined.
Hakugin-dou has a famous saying: 'Ijinuijira tehiki, tenuijira ijihiki' ('If your pride gets bigger, hold back your hand. If your hands are to be thrown, hold back your pride.') The name Hakugin ('White Silver') derives from a story that silver coins were collected for a debt and buried in the cave. Hakugin-dou is also sometimes known as 'Yoriage-mitake'.
The shrine is close to Itoman's city center, but 200 years ago, the district was below the sea. The god at Hakugin-dou still provides security for fishing expeditions, which is appropriate for a fishing town like Itoman.

Took a trip down to Itoman Okinawa with the family. Seen some cool stuff at the famers markets.. the Ryukyu Glass and a few other places.
AEON Mall Okinawa Rycom Grand opening April 25th , 2015
Grand opening Rycom Mall AEON MALL in Japan
This mall includes a grocery store, Jimmys and huge Aquarium that holds 1,000 fish. You have to check this mall out for yourself, there was definitely a lot of stores that are not shown on this vlog not including the ToyS'RUS BabiesR'US and more. This mall seems to have 2 1/2 floors dedicated to food which is know as the GOURMET WORLD , it is very sheek and clean.They have a water station with cup dispensers. The food court/Gourmet world is spotless and you don't feel like you are at a regular food court, this mall makes you feel like you are at a 5 star restaurant.
The shopping area is very enjoyable and accepts all major credit cards.I will be taking another trip to this mall very soon please stay tuned for updated videos and my experience at the RYCOM OKINAWA AEON MALL.
FOREVER 21, OLDNAVY , AMERICAN EAGLE and the gap mimics the prices in states :) the only con would be they don't have a Victoria secret but hopefully that will be coming soon.

今日のグルメリポート。
今回の宿は、４人部屋がるホテルでなくていいのです。
朝食バイキングが充実しているホテルは、満室でとれませんでした。
なので、今回初めての宿に泊まりました。
国際通りの中央。
いつもは、ホテルの部屋で飲む時、沖縄らしいおつまみを買ってきます。
でも、買うお店はコンビニなんです。
今回のホテルは、牧志公設市場が近くなんですねぇ。
だったら、せっかくなので市場でおつまみを買いましょう。
市場といえば、肉屋さんか、魚屋さんですよね。
魚だね。
刺身だね。
御存じのとおり、魚屋さんで魚を買ったら二階の食堂で調理してもらえます。
すぐ食べられます。
でも、部屋での二次会用なので、刺身の盛り合わせにしました。
おいしそうな盛り合わせを売ってるんですよ。
昼間に買っておいて、部屋の冷蔵庫に入れておいたんです。
一次会の居酒屋さんが、こんなにいい刺身を出してくれると思わなかったんだもん。
あとねぇ、市場の周りには、いろんな沖縄食材や、お惣菜の店があります。
沖縄ちょっとおやつといえば、天ぷらですよね。
この市場の周りにも、天ぷら屋さんあります。
買いました。
イカ天。
魚天は無かったなぁ。
こうやって、土地土地のモンを買って部屋で飲むのも楽しいねぇ。
それも、土地のお酒、泡盛なので最高でした。
一次会の後、DFSギャラリアにも行ったんです。
DFSでの買い物は、商品が空港渡しなんです。
一次会で飲みすぎてヘロヘロで、よくDFSで買い物手続きができたなぁと。
よく引換券を無くさなかったなぁと。
翌朝少し驚きました。
Hotel where we stayed this time is located in the center of the Kokusaidori street.
Near the hotel there is a public market.
In order to drink again in the room of a hotel, I bought a relish in the market.
There is a fishmonger in the market.
The fish is fresh.
Therefore, my relish of tonight is sliced raw fish.
There is also delicatessen store in around the market.
Tempura is famous delicatessen in Okinawa.
I bought a tempura of squid.
Very delectable.
