If you are heading to Yehliu, Gui Hou Fish Market is midway in Wanli district. Do drop by here for fresh seafood especially their famous Wanli Crabs. Checkout on when the Wanli Crabs season is. They have lots of seafood where you can pick and buy and the seafood vendors will recommend you to the restaurant where you can cook your purchases. We went to the restaurant on the extreme right where they do your purchases in whatever way you wanted to eat.????????

200 jump in New Taipei harbor to bless fishermen
Two hundred people took a dive into New Taipei''s Yehliu Fishing Harbor today in a once-a-year tradition. This harbor cleansing festival is 200 years old, and it''s meant to bless fishermen with calm seas and big catches in the year ahead. Today people from seven countries headed to the seaside town of Wanli for a splash. Holding up a local deity on a sedan chair, these strapping lads pluck up their courage as they lunge forward. They drop into the harbor with a plunk, splashing water in all directions. This is the annual Yehliu harbor cleansing festival, which attracted 200 brave participants.Lin Mao-hungParticipantI am the oldest participant. I''ve been swimming for 50 years and I have visited 103 countries all around the world. Wherever there is water, I jump right in. Today I came to dive into the harbor.The Harbor Cleansing Festival in Yehliu has over two centuries of history. Located in Yehliu Village, Wanli District, New Taipei City, Yehliu Fishing Harbor was built with a natural bay to its west. Because of the increasing size of Yehliu Fishing Harbor, the number of fishing boats and catches of the harbor has been gradually increasing. However, due to its topography, the water area of the harbor is limited, and its development is quite restricted as well. Yehliu is located up North of Taiwan in New Taipei City and well known for its geopark. But the township is also very interesting for its traditional fishing port, where you can still find old wooden fishing boats putting out to sea on a daily basis. Ships are being repaired there as right at site, and the incoming the seafood is stored finds its way straight into the refrigerating storage houses just meters from the piers.
And right next to it is a diverse traditional market as well, where you can buy the freshest fish as it comes off the boats.
As you can stroll around freely all throughout the port area you can also catch a glimpse of the fishermen's daily lives and pick into the berth ...
