Fishing Hillary's Boat Harbour - Slow day - Small Tarwhine, Skippy & Blowies
A couple hours fishing at the local boat harbour in hopes of getting my first fish on a lure, and then I switched over to fishing with bait.
Hillary's is a great place to go fishing for the small fish, but you can only really catch them when the blowies aren't around which is in the early morning or at night.
At first I wasn't even going to upload this because of the lack of fish caught in the video, and then while I was editing, half of my footage got corrupted and I had to start over, so that just made me not want to upload it even more, but I decided to upload this just to show that I now have my GoPro and am able to make videos! Many more videos to come, and they will hopefully be much better quality too! (And more fish!)
Also, sorry for all of the swearing, I'll tone it down in future videos.
Outro Music: Moog - Collide (ft. Erin Renee)
Cheers.
POINT MOORE LIGHTHOUSE AND GERALDTON FISHING BOAT HARBOUR WA
History
The foundation were originally laid for the Moore Point Lighthouse in 1877, but were found to be in the wrong place. Following this discovery they were relocated to the current site 5 kilometres from the centre of Geraldton.
The tower was a prefabricated steel tower by Chance Bros. of Birmingham, and brought to Australia in segments from England aboard the 'Lady Louisa'. It was bolted together on the new foundations.
The light was first exhibited in 1878. There was also a subsidiary light giving two beams but this has since been removed.
The original original kerosene wick lamp was replaced by an incandescent-mantle lamp in 1911. A further conversion to electricity was undertaken in 1958.
The light was significantly upgraded in power in 1962 when the candelas was raised from 90,000 to 320,000. The character was altered to the current configuration at the same time.
The light was further upgraded in 1985.
The tower's day mark of four red, and three white bands was added in 1969.
The Moore Point lighthouse is the oldest surviving Commonwealth lighthouse in Western. It was also the first the first steel tower on the mainland of Australia
Point Moore Lighthouse
This bold red and white striped landmark has become something of a Geraldton icon, overlooking the blue waters of the Indian Ocean at Point Moore.
A pre-fabricated steel tower built in the UK, it was erected on site in 1878 and stands 34 metres tall. Its beam can be seen 26km out to sea. The recently repainted structure is the only one of its kind in WA.
Altough not open to the public, the Geraldton lighthouse has a new interpretive plaque for visitors situated at the front of the building.
On Champion Bay, 424km north of Perth - Geraldton is a flourishing little city with an almost perfect climate, averaging a temperature of 24C, with lovely warm summers and mild winters. The key cargo port of the region, Geraldton has some brilliant, white-sand beaches, warm, clear waters, and the fishing up this way borders on the legendary.
It's also the centre of WA's lobster fishing industry - with the main base for this lucrative activity out on the Abroholos Islands, about 64km offshore. There's a major fishing fleet operating out of Geraldton's harbour and, if you're here during the lobster season (November to June), make sure you make your way down to Fisherman's Wharf to watch the lobsters being unloaded before tasting.

Light tackle fishing for Bream, Whiting, Yellowtail Perch, Wrasse and more! Finally managed to upload Part 1. I am staying in Kalbarri right now, and have filmed Part 2 already. Unfortunately my GoPro cable broke, so I am having some delays with editing. Plenty of action to come though.

PT 1 OF 3 GERALDTON WESTERN AUSTRALIA WA
caravan trip 2007 Travel through Geraldton WA Caravan Trip 2007 Geraldton is a city and port in Western Australia located 424 kilometres (263 mi) north of Perth. According to the 2001 census, Geraldton has a population of 29,996. Today the city is an important centre for mining, fishing, wheat, sheep and tourism. Attractions The construction of the St Francis Xavier Catholic Cathedral started in 1916 but was not completed until 1938. The cathedral was designed by Monsignor John Hawes who was both an architect and a priest. The lighthouse located on Point Moore was recently repainted and established as another cultural attraction of Geraldton. Geraldton is also an internationally renowned windsurfing location. The most popular spot is Coronation Beach, located just north of the town. Nearby North of Geraldton is the town of Northampton, as well as the Hutt River Province, an area which claims to be an independent nation since its self-proclaimed secession from Western Australia in 1969. The Houtman Abrolhos islands are 60 km to the west of Geraldton. They are famous for the 1629 wreck of the Batavia. A stone portico recovered from the wreck has been reconstructed at the local museum, along with other artifacts. Twenty-five kilometres south of Geraldton near Walkaway a windfarm was completed in August 2005. It consists of 54 turbines, each producing 1.8 MW and 80 metres high with 40 metre blades. [edit] Old Port The original port has be dredged to a depth of 9.4m at the berths, which is suitable for ships of 64,000 metric tons of deadweight (DWT). [edit] New Port In 2006, it was proposed to establish a new deepwater port at Oakajee, about 25km north of Geraldton. This port would serve the mining industry, especially iron ore. wikipedia

How to Catch a Fish Ep3 - Buff Bream at Hillarys
Made by Zulu Media | ZuluMedia.com.au
Thought buffalo bream were a rubbish fish not worth your time? Steve and Paul are going to prove otherwise as they seek to land some of the massive vegetarian fish that hang around WA's rockwalls and reefs.
Few fish from shore are this hard to hook, this hard to land and have this many dirty tricks. One of the favourite episodes ever and one of the funniest.
Can you land a big buff from shore?

15101 72' Rock Lobster Fishing Vessel En-Rybo
Launched in January 2017, “En-Rybo” was built at Xtreme Marine in Geraldton, Western Australia from a GMD aluminium Marine Kit. She is the replacement vessel for the original 60′ “Enrybo” which has now served the O’Byrne family for 20 years.
Like the vessel she replaces, the 72′ “En-Rybo” will be used to fish for rock lobster as well as running charters in the off season. As with all GMD rock lobster hulls she features a fine entry, deep forefoot and low dead rise aft which combine for excellent offshore performance, great load carrying and a comfortable ride.
“En-Rybo” carries 100 rock lobster baskets in her 12m³ live tanks in addition to 160 pots on deck. In NSCV 2B ‘Workboat Mode’, she can carry 19 tonnes on deck and 12 passengers in the saloon, making this vessel a truly versatile all-round earner.
Our rock lobster hulls have proven to be very adaptable, having also been used for charter, crew transfer, patrol, motor yacht and general work duties.
