In this food video travel vlog, I'm (Trevor James, The Food Ranger), bringing you to eat some of the most UNIQUE Chinese noodles!
We're starting the noodle tour in Beijing, China, and enjoying a huge bowl of Beijing Zhajiangmian AKA Beijing Zhajiang noodles, one of the most fragrant and satisfying noodle chews you'll ever experience. AND, we're complimenting that bowl of Beijing noodles with a delicious bowl of pork organ stew, an intense organ aroma stew with chopped intestines and lungs. Delicious!
After traveling to Beijing to eat noodles, we're flying direct into Lanzhou, the home of the world famous muslim Chinese street food. Here, the local Hui chinese cook up some of the best Halal Chinese food in the world, and have a UNIQUE specialty that is worth flying for, the Lanzhou lamian, AKA Lanzhou ramen AKA lanzhou beef noodle soup! WOW! This is one of the BEST noodle dishes you'll ever taste! And watching the extremely tasty Lanzhou noodles being hand pulled is one of the most satisfying things to watch too! The beef noodle soup is made with beef fat and bone and also lots of local radish which gives it an incredibly complex and satisfying aroma to slurp on!! And you can order up as many slices of beef to put on top of your lanzhou noodles as well!
After traveling to Lanzhou, we're flying in to Chengdu to eat Sichuan food and of course, the one and only Sichuan Dan Dan noodles!!! Dan dan noodles or Dandan mian as they are called here in China are one of the most incredibly aromatic and Xiang bowls of noodles you'll ever experience. The spicy chili oil and the intense pork aroma with a slight earthy kick from pickled mustard greens is truly unlike anything in the whole world. You have to fly here to eat these! They are absolutely incredible! AND, we're topping off the noodles with a nice plump bowl of Hongyouchaoshou AKA Chinese hot chili oil wontons! They burst in your mouth with flavour and chili oil! WOWWW!!! In Chengdu, Sichuan cuisine is at the top of it's game, super flavourful and intense with Sichuan chili and peppercorn, and I definitely recommend flying in to eat it!
After Chengdu dan dan noodles, we're taking a direct flight to Shanghai to eat my personal favourite bowl of noodles in the city, and a bowl that is worth flying in direct to China to eat for, the majiang mian AKA sesame butter noodles. The noodles are full of chili oil and sesame butter mixed together, so you have this EXTREMELY satisfying nutty and spicy combo over top of springy al dente noodles, and, you can top it off with some nice spicy pork chunks! It doesn't get any better than that!! Another BIG WOW!!!
After shanghai, we're finishing this food travel video by flying in direct to Hong Kong, another world famous food destination, to eat some cantonese cuisine and some southern Chinese noodles, the ganchaoniuhe, AKA stir fried chinese rice noodles with tender slices of beef! We're visiting a local daipaidong AKA Chinese street food alley stall that is packed with hungry locals who all love eating tons of delicious Cantonese cuisine and seafood! At this daipaidong, aiwensheng, you can eat a lot of different Chinese seafoods and stir fried cantonese cuisine dishes, but we came in solely to eat the stir fried rice noodles, but we couldn't help ourselves and ordered a mud crab and some fried seafood as well because it looked so good! Another HUGE WOW!! China has some of the best food in the world, and definitely the BEST noodles in the world!!

Hong Kong has developed from a small fishing village in the 1800s into a dynamic and thrilling 21st century cosmopolitan metropolis. It is a bustling coastal city full of impressive high rises, and a fusion of eastern and western cultures. It proudly proclaims itself to be 'Asia's World City' and remains a key gateway to China.
Hong Kong is a Special Administrative Region (SAR) of the People's Republic of China. It is located on the southeast coast of China, facing the South China Sea. It is about 3½ hours by air from Beijing and 2½ hours from Shanghai.
With an area of 1,110 sq. km, Hong Kong consists of Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, the New Territories and a group of 260 outlying islands.
Hong Kong is a fusion of East and West. There is no better place to experience both eastern and western cultures, and experience traditional and modern life.
Hong Kong is a shopping paradise, bringing all the world famous- brands together. Shopping malls, department stores, boutiques, and street markets are clustered around the island.
Hong Kong is a world of exquisite, mouthwatering international cuisine.
Hong Kong boasts a highly developed transportation network. It is very convenient to travel to and from Hong Kong.
Hong Kong is the ideal springboard for trips to the rest of China as well to other parts of East Asia.

Chinese street food and Chinese Food in China is incredibly delicious! So I flew to Shanghai, China and have been eating street food, noodles, and dumplings non-stop. Best Street Food to try! The Chinese food is so good in Shanghai! I've eaten street food in Bejing, street food in Chengdu, street food in Xi’an, street food in Guangzhou, and now, street food in Shanghai. You can find some unique Shanghai street food specialties here, like xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), shengjianbao (pan fried dumplings), seafood on the street, and some delicious noodles as well. ►25 Must-Eat Dishes in Hong Kong:
This is the final video in this Round The World for Food video series with Star Alliance. It was an amazing trip, the most action packed every day trip with food that I’ve ever taken in my life. I want to say a huge thank you to you for your support and for watching all the videos!
On Day 39, I wanted to have one final delicious meal in Hong Kong, and so we decided to take a quick trip over to Aberdeen Fish Market, which is outside of the main city, but very close, across the mountain. Turned out to be one of the best seafood meals I’ve ever had in Hong Kong, awesomely fresh seafood. We then headed to the airport and caught a flight with Thai Airways back home to Bangkok!
1:04 Aberdeen Fish Market - Located across Hong Kong island from the main part of the city, but only a 10 minute bus ride when there’s no traffic, Aberdeen is a nice place to visit. It also happens to be home to a wholesale seafood market. The market wasn’t too busy or crowded, but it was quite nice. But the main reason we went there was to eat an amazing Hong Kong seafood meal.
2:47 Aberdeen Fish Market Yee Hope Seafood Restaurant - It took me a little while to find the restaurant as I wasn’t sure if there was more than one restaurant at the fish market - but it turns out that I think there was just one restaurant, known as Aberdeen Fish Market Yee Hope Seafood Restaurant. The English part of their menu had some seafood set meals, so I just decided to order the full set which included crab, steamed fish, scallops, and a few other incredible seafood dishes. What impressed me the most about this Hong Kong seafood restaurant was that not only was the seafood extremely fresh, but it was cooked perfectly - nothing was too salty or overcooked - but everything was literally perfect. Although it wasn’t cheap, it this seafood meal in Hong Kong was the perfect last meal on this round the world trip! Total price - 646 HKD ($83.26)
14:38 Hong Kong Airport Express - After finishing the seafood meal we checked out of our hotel and headed to Hong Kong International Airport to head back to Bangkok. Price for airport express - 170 HKD ($21.91) for 2
15:28 Star Alliance Flight #10 - Thai Airways: Hong Kong to Bangkok - For our final flight of the trip we flew with Thai Airways from Hong Kong to Bangkok!
The epic seafood meal in Hong Kong was the highlight of the day!

The addresses for these locations are listed below. Chinese/Asian food recipes are going to be included in my blog shortly.
1) Local street food Chang Fen (rice noodle roll) - These are found throughout the city and are famously eaten during breakfast time in Guangdong, or during yumcha dimsum. I went to a very cheap Chinese restaurant specializing in Changfen in Baiyun district:
Name: 潮汕辉记肠粉
Address: 广州市白云区岗贝路4号
2) The best and must try chashaobao AKA charsui bao AKA BBQ pork bun. These beauties are like upgraded baozi steam buns you find all over the streets of China. The pork juicy and covered in a sweet Barbeque sauce and the bun is so fluffy, you won't be able to get enough of them!
Name: 天天包点
Address: 广州市越秀区起义路72号
3) Famous Chinese street food Chashao BBQ pork and Shao'e roast goose. These are the best and two must try street foods in China, especially during lunch hour in Guangzhou or Hong Kong
Name: 九爷鸡
Address: 广州市越秀区文明路103号
4) Dim sum at the famous yumcha dim sum restaurant Dim Dou Dak. This is a chain restaurant that serves some of the best cantonese dim sum in the city. Be sure to order the shao mai dumplings, har gao dumplings, fengzhua chicken feet, and their specialty red rice roll. So good!
Name: 点都德
Address: 广州市越秀区越秀中路60号宝贝城4楼
5) The largest wholesale seafood market in Guangzhou. There is a huge selection of seafood here, you could spend a whole day here just watching and discovering all the different types of fresh seafood. It's not cheap unfortunately, it's quite expensive! Be ready to bargain a little bit.
Name: 盛港湾酒楼
Address: 广州市海珠区黄沙海产批发市场
If you have a whole day in Guangzhou or even Hong Kong (you can find exactly the same street foods) to travel and eat and try Chinese street food, then visit some of these amazing and best street food locations! Please leave me a comment down below if you did and let me know how the food was!

Today I give you a walking tour of Busan's famed fish market known for its fresh seafood: Jagalchi Shijang (자갈치시장). It used to be outdoor, but upon the construction of the new building, vendors moved inside. Many stalls continue to set up outside, which I found to be a much more fun experience to venture through. Feel free to buy your raw fish on the first floor and enjoy it on the second floor where restaurants will set up side dishes. Otherwise you can purchase the fish directly from the restaurant. Junk boat ride in Hong Kong
Rode a traditional Chinese junk boat from Sai Kung to Half Moon bay, round trip costed about $5 USD per person. It's a highly recommended and popular way to travel from islands to islands around Hong Kong.
Villagers in southwest China hang on for dear life to cross rivers on ziplines
When the residents of Chinese mountain village Lazimi want to go across the river to the market, they put on a harness and clip themselves onto a cable slung across a raging river.
Slanted downhill and mostly relying on gravity, they literally zip across the water to the other side.
The Nu river, which literally means angry river in Chinese, snakes from Tibet along the Myanmar border through Yunnan province and in many places, the rapids over the jagged rocks are too violent for boats to navigate. The rough and isolated area lacks proper roads and bridges and the ethnic Lisu people who live here have been using ziplines for decades.
Operated by some men who live in the village located in China's southwest, it is free for those who live there but visitors and tourists are charged around 50 yuan ($8) for the ride.
Cha Huilan, a mother of two, makes frequent trips across the river to buy medicine for her sick mother. The unorthodox transportation is not only inconvenient but harrowing since she often takes her two-year-old child with her to go shopping or to go to church. The child clings to her for dear life throughout the journey.
People in the Nu River area estimate that there are about 20 to 30 villages which still rely on theziplines as their primary means of transport across the river, even if they are not always reliable. When it rains, they become even more dangerous due to the slippery conditions.
But it may only be a matter of time before the Nu River inhabitants get a bridge.
In Fugong county, an eight hour-drive away from Lazimi, several zip-line villages remain, but surrounding roadside construction projects are building bridges at an accelerating rate.
