Late Spring Scenes Along The Carp Trail (Fitzroy Provincial Park - May, 2015)
While the day I visited Fitzroy Provincial Park was a cool, cloudy day, the sun did appear during my hike on the Carp Trail. The Carp Trail's namesake is the Carp River, which runs through the park on its way to the Ottawa River. This short trail begins in an upland forest, overlooking the Carp River. The landscape along this narrow path eventually transitions into a low-lying, swampy environment. While it is a fairly short trail, the walk was very enjoyable, as I was able to spot a variety of flora and fauna. I was able to spot both a chipmunk and a deer within a very short distance of each other, near the end of the trail.
This video was shot near the hamlet of FItzroy Harbour (west of Ottawa, ON), in late May, 2015.

This is a camping trip to Fitzroy Provincial Park I made in October 2017.
I was very luck to too see quite a bit of wildlife. The trails were great. Hope you enjoy it !

Summer Scenes Along the Terraces Trail (Fitzroy Provincial Park - August 2015)
The Terraces Trail at Fitzroy Provincial Park, northwest of Ottawa, has a landscape that was shaped heavily both by erosion and the remnants of the last ice age. Cliffs of limestone and sandstone, along with shale pillars, can be seen along the trail. Large boulders can also be found throughout the landscape, left behind by the glaciers. A narrow stream, feeding a small waterfall, is another main feature. Hikers often begin their walk near the bottom of this waterfall and reach the end of the loop after crossing the stream just above it.

My friends and I went to Fitzroy Harbour for the day to celebrate a good friend's birthday. Hung out on the beach, took the kayaks out, and played some sports. Enjoy.
