MARVlog #11 | Tianjin, China
Tianjin is a major port city in northeastern China. Following the 1858 Treaties of Tianjin, several Western nations established concessions in Tianjin. The European-style houses, municipal buildings and churches in Wudadao (Five Great Avenues) are legacies of that period. Standing in contrast are the city’s many modern skyscrapers, including the iconic 415m-tall Tianjin Radio and Television Tower.
Beside that Tianjin also has tourist attractions such as Tianjin Eye. Seem like London Eye, it has Ferris Wheel. Then, Guwenhua Jie, where sell souvenir of Tianjin. Also many museums on there.

Tianjin, What To Do? - Ghost Mall
China's ghost cities are a hot topic, but they're often located in newly-constructed, remote places that nobody wants to go to. What if I told you that there was a small taste of a ghost city in the middle of a huge, prosperous city 30 minutes from Beijing? Well, there is!
The 5th Avenue Business Street is one such ghost mall. It's located right in the middle of downtown Tianjin, China. It's not a nice place, but it's still a place I'd recommend checking out just to creep yourself out a little bit. It's weird - in China, you're always surrounded by tons of people and, in the big cities at least, you're surrounded by flashing lights and the signs of prosperity. Not here. This place is falling apart. It's creepy, and it might even be dangerous....I don't know!
The point is....if you're interested in Chinese ghost cities, but don't have the time to visit one, this is the place to go get a taste. Good luck to you!

Tianjin outskirts, China
Tianjin is a major port city in northeastern China. Following the 1858 Treaties of Tianjin, several Western nations established concessions in Tianjin. The European-style houses, municipal buildings and churches in Wudadao (Five Great Avenues) are legacies of that period. Standing in contrast are the city’s many modern skyscrapers, including the iconic 415m-tall Tianjin Radio and Television Tower.
Tianjin is the world's eighth-busiest port by cargo tonnage (440,430 kiloton).
Tianjin, formerly known in English as Tientsin, is a metropolis in northern coastal Mainland China and one of the four national central cities of the country, with a total population of 15,469,500, and is also the world's 6th-most populous city proper. It is governed as one of the four direct-controlled municipalities of the PRC and is thus under direct administration of the central government. Tianjin borders Hebei Province and Beijing Municipality, bounded to the east by the Bohai Gulf portion of the Yellow Sea. Part of the Bohai Economic Rim, it is the largest coastal city in northern China.
In terms of urban population, Tianjin is the fourth largest in China, after Shanghai, Beijing, and Guangzhou. In terms of administrative area population, Tianjin ranks fifth in Mainland China. The walled city of Tianjin was built in 1404. As a treaty port since 1860, Tianjin has been a major seaport and gateway to Beijing.
