Edible Organic Roof-top Garden 'Long' tour! - Hyderabad, India
The whole nature conspires for a Permaculturist
So this is the video that I was planning to make for quite sometime, but just did not have enough time! Thankfully Sai Kalyan came along to help me shoot the video! In this video I have tried to document my garden in quite a bit of detail. Ofcourse there will be a few things missing (the video was already 40 minutes long!) In case of any specific doubts, do let me know, I'll answer them! This rooftop garden was started in late July and within a very short time has taken a pretty nice shape. Based on Permaculture principles and techniques, the garden maintains itself well without any active pest management from my side and a general sense of neglect regarding watering!
How to Get around Hyderabad | Hyderabad Travel
Watch more How to Visit Hyderabad videos:
Visiting Hyderabad? Learn the best ways to get around in this travel video. Tip: Plan ahead if you want to take taxis, which are nearly impossible to hail on the street.
As long as you have a map and are careful about the traffic on unpaved roads, Hyderabad’s most interesting neighborhoods are best explored on foot. But they’re kind of spread out, so you’ll need some help getting around between them. Buses are one good option–the routes cover pretty much anywhere you’ll want to go, and there are usually English maps available. Taxis are your best bet for long trips, as long as you book them ahead of time–demand is so high, it’s nearly impossible to hail one on the street. There are a number of services with centralized call centers you can use to book a cab; however, some services won’t let you reserve a taxi for a short trip, so it’s best to plan which parts of the city you want to explore ahead of time and book your cabs accordingly. Autorickshaws are good for shorter trips, but pricing isn’t always consistent, so bring more cash than you expect to need. Whatever you do, plan ahead, and bring a map and a sense of adventure with you when travelling in Hyderabad.

Our first day in Hyderabad, India started off with an uber ride from our apartment in Banjara Hills to Necklace road. We ended up getting off at the wrong place so we hopped on an autorickshaw that brought us nearby the ferries of Sagar Lake. Upon arriving we noticed some delicious Hyderabad street food options so we cooled off with a refreshing lime soda that featured freshly squeezed limes, salt and pepper. Next we had roasted peanuts which came wrapped inside of a folder newspaper.
We started to explore attractions in Hyderabad, India by taking a ferry across Sagar Lake to check out the Buddha Statue of Hyderabad. It was gigantic and we met so many friendly locals and tourists who wanted to take selfies with us.
Upon returning we resumed eating Indian street food by sampling two differents kinds of chats: papdi chaat and samosa chaat. Featuring chickpeas, onions, mint and tamrind chutneys they were delicious and inexpensive.
To cool off we had Kulfi which is Indian ice cream made from milk, pistachios, almonds and saffron.
To finish off the day we went to the Hindu Temple of Birla Mandir. Although we could not visit without camears we enjoyed the outside perimeter and met some friendly locals.
Overall it was an awesome afternoon of eating Indian street food and checking out top attractions in Hyderabad, India.

Hyderabadi Indian Street Food Tour + Attractions in Hyderabad, India Video Transcript:
On our first day in Hyderabad, I jumped into an Uber with David and headed over to Necklace Road to check out Sagar Lake to visit some attractions including the Big Buddha and to eat delicious street food snacks. However, we got dropped off at the wrong place, so we started off by jumping into an autorickshaw.
Alright, so we've got a tuk-tuk for 60 Rupees right bro? 60 rupees. Because we didn't we kind of picked the wrong spot to get dropped off at. Yeah and now we're going to see the Buddha statue here on Sagar Lake. The Buddha statue is a humongous statue in the middle of the lake and the only way to get there is through Lumpini Park and get a ferry from there. The boarding time is between 2 and 8 P.M.
What are we having dude to cool down?
What we have here is a guy selling lime juice. It is actually soda lime juice
We're getting 20 peanuts here from this guy who has setup his street food stall right on it is like a bicycle stand.
You can see the fire and then he is just like his spatula and he's moving them around and he's putting them into like it is like a newspaper.
Basically this is a monolith statue of the Buddha. This is the biggest monolith statue of the Buddha in the world. That means they came from one piece of rock. They carved one piece of rock this entire thing.
The locals here in this city have been the friendliest of any city I've ever visited in India to date.
The street food tour continues. We've got two different items. We've got Papdi chaat over here and samosa chaat. We have chickpeas, onions and sev.
We're getting Kulfi Indian ice cream to cool down.
We're about to enter the Hillrock temple of Birla Mandir and it is quite impressive from the outside
What an afternoon. Like total randomness. We had no idea what were going to do. We just decided to come to the lake, see what we could find. It was just such a fun outing.
We'll see you with more India travel and food content soon. Ciao guys. Peace.
This is part of our Travel in India video series showcasing Indian food, Indian culture and Indian cuisine.

Garden of Five Senses : One of the most beautiful gardens in Delhi
The Garden of Five Senses is not just a park, it is a space with a variety of activities, inviting public interaction and exploration. The project, developed by Delhi Tourism Transportation Development Corporation, was conceptualized to answer to the city's need for leisure space for the public, for people to socialize and unwind. Such spaces add atmosphere and life to a city and cater to all sections of the society.
The twenty-acre site, located at Said-Ul-Azaib village, close to the Mehrauli heritage area in New Delhi, is spectacular. The Garden was inaugurated in February 2003. Majestic rocks stand silhouetted against the sky, others lie strewn upon the ground in a casual yet alluring display of nature's sculptural genius. It was the ideal ground on which to realize the concept of a public leisure space that would awaken a sensory response and thereby a sensitivity to the environment.
Soaring stainless-steel birds mounted on slate-clad pillars welcome you into the park. An expansive plaza, set on the natural slope of the site, invites you up the spiral walkway. Across, a troop of elephants, cut in stone, regaling in a water bath, tempts exploration.

CHUTNEYS
each of these chutneys holds it own in its flavours. the kobari lausu is simple, you taste the coconut and a light sweetness. the coconut and peanut chutney has an endearing spicy edge while the putnalu chutney has that wholesome grainy texture from the lentils. The tomato and corn chutney dabbles in fusion! Another favourite here is the tangy, sweet and spicy allam bellam or ginger and jaggery chutney.

BABAI IDLI
these steaming hot idlis topped with a dollop of butter are super soft! the white butter melts into the idli making it all the more crumbly! the chutneys give every bite a different dimension of flavour.
10/10
GUNTUR IDLI
smeared with a mixture of the guntur chilli podi mixed with ghee, this is a spicy idli! The chutneys help mellow the spice in the podi. the Andhra style sambar is lusciously thick and great accompaniment.

Kodaikanal Hills Travel Vlog 2017 | The Princess Of Hills | Hyderabad To Kodaikanal Trip |
Website :
DO SWITCH ON THE SUBTITLES. It was end of May and all we were hoping for was a downpour to cool down the thirsty Earth, but looked like the rain gods were not in any mood of showing up, so in a desperate attempt to run away from this torturous heat Big B(my Elder brother) and us decided to chase the rain and travel to the princess of hills Kodaikanal
At once we started our search for ways to reach Kodaikanal and we quickly learned that there were no direct ways of reaching Kodaikanal, the only way was to reach Coimbatore and take a cab/taxi or bus to Kodaikanal which was around 180km from Coimbatore.
As this was a very last minute decision all the trains were full and flight very pricey the only option left was private bus and we were determined to go, so without any further ado, we booked ourselves Kallada travels sleeper bus which took around 13 hours to reach Coimbatore from Hyderabad.
Next thing was to book our stay, we opened our Goibibo app checked out the go stays and zeroed on The seven grand roads Hotel.
We were traveling in the first week of June and the temperature in Hyderabad was a whopping 40 degree, took the evening bus and reached Coimbatore next day morning.
Coimbatore to Kodaikanal:
-There was an option to take the local bus which is very frequently available from Coimbatore to Palani and from Palani you take another bus for Kodaikanal. after the 13-14 hrs bus journey we were in no mood of taking a bus again
-We started enquiring for the cabs in the nearby travel shops, most of them quoted 4k for one way and around 8k for two way which we would be quite high. We checked with the Ola outstation and that made more sense to us as it was coming around 5k for 400km which was decent, we booked our Ola outstation cab and it was at our service within 30 min in which we finished having our breakfast from a nearby shop.
-Our Cab took around 4.5 hours to reach Kodaikanal it was almost 5 pm in the evening when we reached.

The ULTIMATE Dosa Breakfast at RAM KI BANDI + Flower Market Visit | Hyderabad, India
After I fell in love with India during my first visit in January of 2018, I vowed that I would make it back to this country to experience and explore as much of it as I possibly could. Eleven months later in November, I made it back to India, this time with my good friend Sam, and we spent nearly three weeks traveling through seven incredible cities. We had long heard that the second city of our trip, Hyderabad, had some of India’s best food, and so far, it hadn’t disappointed us one bit!
Subscribe to Sam & Audrey:
Saliesh:
After visiting one of Hyderabad’s most popular attractions and best restaurants, I was ready to try more amazing street food, so on the morning of our second day in the city, we got up early and met up with our friend Sailesh, who took us to get some breakfast at Ram Ki Bandi, one of the city’s most famous street food stalls. Ram Ki Bandi offers ten different types of dosa, and I could not wait to try as many of them as I could! According to Sailesh, people travel many miles just for the dosas there!
My Film Making Kit ►
We settled on trying three different dosas: the Schezwan cream, the pizza dosa, and the palak paneer dosa. The first one I tried was the Italian-infused pizza dosa, which contained herbs and was dripping with lots of melted cheese. It was served with a delicious coconut chutney (my favorite) on the side. The dosa was spicy and tasted a lot like a pizza, and the creamy coconut chutney helped to cool down the heat from it.
Next up was the Szechwan cream, a spicy, Chinese-inspired dosa, which was also served with coconut chutney. It was a little sweeter, but still spicy, and contained onion and cilantro, among other mouthwatering ingredients. This one was phenomenal! I couldn’t stop raving about how good it was!
The final dosa was the palak paneer, which contains spinach, a variety of spices, and a non-melting cottage cheese called paneer. It didn’t come with any chutneys, so I ate it solo. It was probably my least favorite of the three dosas, but it was still great!
Our next dish was Idli, a mild, nutty, and savory rice cake that’s made by steaming a batter made up of rice and fermented and de-husked black lentils. This Idli was a little different from the kind I’d had before, and contained herbs, spices, cheese, and paneer. It was soft, moist, creamy, and the flavor was unreal! Next, I tried the traditional version of Idli along with some coconut chutney. While Idli doesn’t contain a huge amount of flavors, I still enjoyed it – it was soft and nutty.
After I tried everything, it was Sailesh and Sam’s turn! I think they enjoyed everything as much as I did! We were all in southern Indian food heaven!
After our sensational breakfast, the three of us headed off to a local flower market. At the time I visited, the country was in the middle of festival season, as Diwali was being celebrated, so Sailesh took us through the market so we could see all the different types of flowers people from all over Hyderabad were purchasing for their celebrations. A lot of people were there buying flowers; the whole place was packed! As we slowly made our way down the narrow alleys of the market, we watched vendors prepare beautiful flowers, delicious-looking vegetables, and more. There was so much dizzying activity around us that Sam and I didn’t know where to look next! Our visit to the market was definitely an assault on the senses and a bizarre, yet beautiful, way to end our morning adventure in Hyderabad.
If you enjoyed our ultimate dosa breakfast and visit to the flower market, please give this video a thumbs up and leave me a comment below so I can chat with you guys! And please don’t forget to subscribe to my channel so you don’t miss out on any of my upcoming food and travel adventures!

Kia Seltos Car Launched in Hyderabad | Kia Motors India
Kia Motors has finally taken the wraps off the Seltos and it looks true to the SP concept. The Kia Seltos has been designed and developed specifically for the Indian market and looks promising as an overall package. The overall design language of the Seltos is an aggressive and sharp line on the face and shoulder helps to shape its bulges aesthetically. The face boasts the wide Tiger nose grille and there is chrome surrounding around it. Sleek LED headlamps, DRLs, bold claddings that incorporate silver skid plates and angular detailing on the face and hood add a sense of modernity to the design. A bit of Creta flavor is also visible in the side, especially with the way pillars have been designed. However, the rising window line and sculpting on the rear haunches are unique.

Fortunately, with all of this delicious Indan street food to try for breakfast, I was joined by my good friends David and Sailesh. Sailesh, as our local guide from Hyderabad suggested we try the pizza dosa, Szechuan dosa and palak paneer dosa. All three dosa were incredible but it was a consensus between the three of us that the pizza dosa was the best. It is worth coming to Hyderabad just to try it. Is seriously is that good. After we tried two different types of Idly before heading to Mozamjahi Flower Market which was bustling due to people buying flowers for Diwali. Overall, it was a morning I'll never forget trying delicious street food dosa along with witnessing the spectacle of the market during its busiest time.

BEST DOSA in Hyderabad, India! Indian Street Food for BREAKFAST at RAM KI BANDI Travel Video Transcript (దోస):
Greetings from Hyderabad, India. We are up bright and early for breakfast and we're going to be having Dosa again. This is a special street food dosa and apparently there are 10 different varieties and it is only open from 3 am in the morning until 9 am. I'm also joined with my good friend David. We're ready to eat some dosa.
What are we having for breakfast this morning? We are having Ram Ki Bandi Dosa. We are going to have the best dosa in town over here. It is like the most popular Ram Ki Bandi style. So excited for this.
Our first Dosa is ready. This one is the Szechuan Cream. And then over here we have the pizza dosa. And then we have Palak Paneer over here.
Pumped to try this pizza dosa. Now the coolest thing is that I mean it has tonnes of toppings in the middle but the coolest thing is that it comes with coconut chutney and considering the dosa I had yesterday the coconut chutney was my absolute favorite.
This is the Mozamjahi Flower Market. Yeah. So it has been here since a long time. People throughout Hyderabad come here to buy flowers.
And this is the prime time. This is the festive season. The festive mood is on. And people may be here to buy a lot of flowers. So it is full of flowers.
So much activity going on here at this flower market during the holiday season of Diwali. I don't even know what to look at. Another guy selling something here. More people carrying flowers. It is incredible the amount of activity happening all at once.
What a morning! That was just an incredible feast of dosa this morning. The variety that is literally the best street food I've ever had for breakfast in India. What did you guys think?
That was the best. The best ever. Simply the best. And then to go to the flower market. That was a bustling hive of activity with a festival coming up. With Diwali coming up. It was insane in there. Absolute chaos. Basically an assault on the senses but in a wonderful way. I'm so glad I got to experience that and what a day.
