Ramanathaswamy Temple (இராமநாதஸ்வாமி கோயில்)[1] is a Hindu Temple dedicated to the god Shiva located on Rameswaram island in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is also one of the twelve Jyotirlinga temples. It is one of the 274 Paadal Petra Sthalams, where the three of the most revered Nayanars (Saivite saints), Appar, Sundarar and Tirugnana Sambandar, have glorified the temple with their songs. The temple was expanded during the 12th century by Pandya Dynasty, and its principal shrines sanctum were renovated by Jeyaveera Cinkaiariyan and his successor Gunaveera Cinkaiariyan of the Jaffna kingdom. The temple has the longest corridor among all Hindu temples in India. The temple is located in Rameswaram considered a holy pilgrimage site for Shaivites, Vaishnavites and Smarthas. The presiding deity, the Lingam of Ramanathaswamy (Shiva), is believed to have been established and worshiped by Rama, an avatar of the god Vishnu, to absolve the sins created during the Ramayana war at Sri Lanka.
Legend:-
According to the Ramayana, Rama, the seventh avatar of the god Vishnu, prayed to the god Shiva to absolve him of the sin of killing a Brahmin, committed during his war against the demon king Ravana in Sri Lanka.[3][4] Rama wanted to have a large lingam to worship Shiva. He directed Hanuman, the monkey lieutenant in his army, to bring a lingam from the Himalayas. When Hanuman was delayed in bringing the lingam, Sita, the wife of Rama, built a small lingam out of the sand available in the sea shore, which is believed to be the lingam in the sanctum.
Architecture:-
Image of the east and west temple towers
The primary deity of the temple is Ramanathaswamy (Shiva) in the form of lingam. There are two lingams inside the sanctum - one built by Sita, from sand, residing as the main deity, Ramalingam and the one brought by Hanuman from Kailash called Vishwalingam. Rama instructed that the Vishwalingam should be worshipped first since it was brought by Hanuman - the tradition continues even today.
Like all ancient temples in South India, there is a high compound wall (madil) on all four sides of the temple premises measuring about 865 feet furlong from east to west and one furlong of 657 feet from north to south with huge towers (Gopurams) to the east and the west and finished gate towers to the north and south. The temple has striking long corridors in its interior, running between huge colonnades on platforms above five feet high.
The second corridor is formed by sandstone pillars, beams and ceiling. The junction of the third corridor on the west and the paved way leading from the western gopuram to the Setumadhava shrine forms a unique structure in the form of a chess board, popularly known as Chokkattan Madapam, where the Utsava deities are adorned and kept during the Vasanthotsavam (Spring festival) and on the 6th day festival in Adi (July–August) and Masi (February–March) conducted by the Setupati of Ramnad.
The outer set of corridors is reputed to be the longest in the world, measuring about 6.9 m in height, 400 feet each in the east and west and about 640 feet in the north and the south. The inner corridors are about 224 feet each in the east and the west and about 352 feet each in the north and the south.[8] Their width varies from 15.5 feet to 17 feet in the east and west about 172 feet on the north and south with width varying 14.5 feet to 17 feet. The total length of these corridors is thus 3850 feet. There are about 1212 pillars in the outer corridor. Their height is about 30 feet from the floor to the center of the roof. The main tower or rajagopuram is 53 m tall. Most pillars are carved with individual compositions. At the beginning, Ramanathaswamy Temple was a thatched shed. The present structure was the work of many individuals spread over a number of centuries. The pride of place in the establishment for the Temple goes to the Setupatis of Ramanathapuram. In the seventeenth century, Dalavai Setupati built a portion of the main eastern Gopuram. In late eighteenth century, the world-famous third corridor was constructed by Muthuramalinga Setupati who lived for forty nine years and ruled between 1763 and 1795. The corridor was called “Chokkatan Mandapam”. The Mukhya Pradhani (Chief Minister) was Muthuirullappa Pillai and the Chinna Pradhani (Deputy Chief Minister) was Krishna Iyengar. The Setupati’s statue and those of his two Pradhanis (ministers) can be seen at the western entrance to the third corridor.
There are separate shrines for Ramanathaswamy and his consort goddess Parvathavardhini separated by a corridor.[7] There are separate shrines for the goddess Vishalakshi, the utsava images, sayanagriha, Vishnu and Ganesha. There are various halls inside the temple, namely Anuppu Mandapam, Sukravara Mandapam, Setupati Mandapam, Kalyana Mandapam and Nandi Mandapam.

Scariest God Ever? Periyachi Amman

Let's take a look at the World's Scariest God. She is called Periyachi Amman and you can see how she is tearing open the stomach of a woman and eating her intestines. Note that she is holding a baby in one of her 8 hands. Now, you can also see that she is stomping on a man with her feet and killing him with a trident. How can such a brutal idol be worshiped as a God?
You can read the entire article about Periyachi Amman here:
Notice how a woman on the right side offers her baby to Periyachi Amman. Even today, you can see devotees offering their newborn babies to Periyachi Amman. They leave their babies at her feet for several minutes to show their loyalty to her. What's the secret behind this ritual? Who is this Periyachi Amman anyway?
Periyachi Amman is often mistakenly thought of as Kali who is a Hindu Goddess. But Periyachi Amman is actually a local hero who was born around 1400 A.D in South India. Yes, Periyachi Amman is a historical figure and not a mythical creation. The Tamils or Dravidians of South India worship their ancestors and people who did extraordinary things for the greater good of the community.
History says that Periyachi was a midwife or an obstetrician who helped women deliver babies. Folklore also says that she was well versed in martial arts. During her time there was a King called Vallalan who had lost his throne and was hiding in the forest. His wife was about to give birth, but the astrologers warned that if the baby ever touched the ground, the King would die. So when Periyachi Amman performed the delivery, as soon the baby was born the King wanted to kill it.
When Periyachi realized this, she stomped the King to the ground and impaled him with a trident. The queen who had just given birth was a strong believer in astrology too and was a potential threat to the baby. Periyachi was so enraged at the queen, that she disemboweled her and in a fit of rage, ate her intestines. History says that she adopted the baby, who later built hundreds of temples for her.
So, you can imagine why Periyachi Amman is considered as a protector of newborn babies. Even today, the Tamils believe that she will protect babies at any cost, even against their own mothers if needed. There are elaborate rituals including animal sacrifices performed at Periyachi Amman temples. The Tamil diaspora who live in Singapore and Malaysia have taken her legacy abroad and there are many temples all over South East Asian countries. You can even buy Periyachi dolls in Singapore and Malaysia. Periyachi Amman clearly tops the list as being the most fearsome when compared to all other Gods from Greek, Hindu and Mayan mythology. As scary as she looks, I think that Periyachi is a fantastic Goddess who serves justice and protects babies at any cost. What do you think?
Please visit to learn more about Periyachi Amman.

32 Feet Giant Skeleton Found In India – Hindu God Hanuman?
Follow Me on:
Instagram................
Twitter......................
Facebook.................
Website....................
A few months back I showed you some solid evidence about an ancient Giant called Bhima in India. In that video, I mentioned how I had accidentally stumbled on a footprint of another Giant. Here is a little piece.
Could this be Bhima’s footprint? The locals here claim that it is NOT the footprint of Bhima, but belongs to his half-brother Hanuman, who also happens to be a Giant. This footprint is more than 4 feet long and if it is real, the giant who made this impression would be over 30 feet tall.
So how did I come up with this height of over 30 feet? I calculated
this based on something called a “height to foot” ratio. So who is this Hanuman that we are talking about? Hanuman is a giant Ape like God who appears in ancient Indian scriptures.
Here is an article from a newspaper called “The Age” published on August 10, 1934. It reads:
Skeleton Found in India
Measures 31 feet, 6 inches in length.
The sensational discovery of a skeleton believed to be a prehistoric giant ape, measuring 31 feet 6 inches in length, is reported from Jubbulpore.
You can see how this height matches with my calculation based on the footprint. When I made the previous video 2 months ago, I did not know about these newspaper articles. Let’s read further.
The discovery was made by a farmer, who noticed a bone protruding from the sand on the river bank near the village of Jaintiha. Attempts to dislodge the skeleton with the aid of other villagers failed, whereupon the chief of the State had the skeleton dug out. Three men were required to lift it, the legs alone measuring 10 feet.
“”The skeleton has been placed in the palace of the chief pending examination by geologists, among whom the discovery has created enormous interest. The Jubbulpore district is renowned for its wealth of fossilized relics of an earlier age, the last important discovery three years ago being the remains of a giant prehistoric mammal reputed to be centuries old. “”
Is this an isolated piece of news fabricated by a newspaper company to gain attention?
No, the same news appeared on a lot of newspapers around the world because this was a spectacular discovery. Let us read THE SYDNEY MORNING HERALD on the exact same day.
Prehistoric Ape
Found in India
Giant Proportions
The sensational discovery of a skeleton believed to be that of a prehistoric giant ape, measuring 31 ½ feet in length, is reported from Jubbulpore.
It is the exact same news except for a few changes here and there.
Here is another newspaper called THE VIRGIN ISLANDS DAILY NEWS which published a short version of this news. The size, the location it was discovered all the same.
“INDIA
Calcutta: A skeleton, believed to be that of a human giant, measuring 31 feet 6 inch has been discovered on the banks of a river near Jubbalpore. The huge man’s bones alone measured 10 feet, and three men were required to move the remains to the Chief’s palace at Ramgarh.”
And also from another newspaper called THE SYDNEY MAIL. Again just different words, but the news is the same.
Remember, these are just a few examples and this same news was published all around the world in many languages that a giant prehistoric ape was found in Jabalpur district, India. Is it possible that this is the skeleton of Hanuman?
Some Hindu and Jain sects believe that Hanuman was not a real ape but a human like giant with slight physical variations. Now, all over the world other giants have been found with variations in their facial features including elongated skulls, horns and double rows of teeth. So who are these Giants? Sacred texts from many ancient civilizations, describe these Giants as hybrids between Gods and Humans. In the bible, they are called Nephilim. Hanuman can also be classified as a Nephilim because his father was a god and his mother was human.
Now according to Hindu scriptures, Hanuman was not the only Giant that looked like an ape, but a whole race of giant apes called Vanara was documented. Is it possible that this huge skeleton is one of these ape-like Gods?
Now, the other important question is: What happened to this skeleton? Where did this skeleton go? Today, we are not able trace the whereabouts of this 32 feet skeleton anywhere. Since India was under British control at that time, this priceless evidence was possibly taken to England along with many other rare artifacts.
So what do you think? Are all these newspapers from various countries lying to us? Or did India once have an ancient race of Giants that were 32 feet tall? Please do let me know your opinion. Thank you for watching and talk to you soon.

Sootukkole Mayandi Swamigal ~ Jeeva Samadhi *
Thiru koodal Malai. This is a hillock, situated at the north east of Thiruparankundram, one of the six abodes of Lord Muruga. Here, at the bottom, there have been two Jeeva samadhis of two great saints, named as, sootukkole Mayandi swamigal, and Somappa swamigal. Sootukkole Mayandi swamigal, who was born on 1858, had his nativity as, Kattikulam, in Manamadurai circle, at Sivaganga district of Tamil Nadu, India.
When we are entering near the hillock, first, we have to worship the jeeva samadhi of the great saint, sootukkole mayandi swamigal, which resides at the left hand side of the foothill. It's the temple of Lord Vinayagar, who had been worshiped by mayandi swamigal, from the beginning itself. His jeeva samathi has been consecrated as Lord Vinayagar temple, which has been built upon the same.
The advent of the saint Somappa had taken place at Thiru koodal malai, during the construction period, of the temple of Lord Muruga, who resides in the name of Baladhandapani, on the top of that hillock.
At the time of dusk, while mayandi swamigal was engaging at the erection work of Lord Dhandapani temple, swamigal, overwhelmed with joy of ecstasy, and had ordered his intimate, disciple, Irulappa konar, that one disciple of lord Shiva, who had been ripened with full of matured divinity, had arrived to the foot hill of Thiru koodal malai.
Again, swamigal explained his disciple, about the advent of Somappa swamigal, that, even they hadn't known his name, in prior, Somappa swamigal, could have been more powerful than that of his own divinity, and He should have been guarded within their eyes, until he resides there, as Somappa swamigal had selected that hillock as his permanent residing place.
Mayadi swamigal asked his disciple, to go down to the foot hill, and invited the great saint Somappa. Having obeyed to the order of his Guru, Irulappa konar, rushed to the spot, where that saint resided. He found one person, sat on the heap of the sand, in a relaxed mood. When he looked at the face of that saint, Somappa swamigal, in turn, asked Irulappa konar that, whether Somappa, had invited him there. As that saint, called everybody by the name of Somappa, he might have been, supposed to be called, as Somappa swamigal, thereafter.
Irulappa konar, when having been asked by Somappa swamigal, that. whether had he been invited by mayandi swamigal, Irulappa konar nodded his head as the sign of acceptance. At once, Somappa swamigal, became very happy about his intuition, of his arrival to Thiru koodal malai. He, then, ran with immense joy, on the hillock, here and there.
After that Somappa swamigal had stayed there permanently, for more than 50 years, and had done a lot of spiritual services, that all could have been the boon to his devotees. A lot of people had predicted his age, around 300 years, and somebody told that he hadn't been ever seen, with the day today customs of common men, who have been bounded with nature's call like taking bath, urination, and defecation etc..
The two great saints, Mayandi swamigal, and somappa swamigal had attained their jeeva Samadhis, at the same hillock, called as Thiru koodal malai, on 1930, and 1968 respectively. Day by day, the rush of devotees is increasing, and they have been showering their true love, as the flowers, to the feet of those two great saints.

How Ram-Sethu was constructed by Lord Ram?
How Ram-Sethu was constructed by Lord Ram?
Tamil Speech by S.V.Ramani.
Kalaignar Karunanidhi is the only sincere devotee of Lord Rama because he is always issuing some statement about Lord Rama and Ram-sethu Bridge.
Rameswaram and the temple deity Lord Ramanatha swami in Tamilnadu, India exists for the last thousands of years. Rama worshipped Siva at Rameswaram Temple is a known fact from the ancient Puranas. The Ramanatha Swamy Temple is still standing as Historical evidence. If a devotee believes that his chosen ideal is God then he attains God and sees him. People of Old generations had tremendous faith on God. Rama who was God himself the embodiment of absolute Brahman-had to build a bridge to cross the sea to Ceylon. But Hanuman chanting in Ramas name crossed the sea in one jump and reached the other side. He had an unbreakable faith with Ramas name and there is no need of bridge for him.
In the Department of land-survey records of Ramanathapuram district, in the Survey record books, it is shown in page 287, that 12 Acres and 91 Ars were the upland boundaries of Ram-Sethu island. Like this several other authentic information were also told by the elderly people of Ramanathapuram
In Tamilnadu Government forest Department Portal, information about Ramar Padam has been explained.See in
At Pointcalimere Ramar Padam (literally Ramar Footprint) located on the highest point of land in the sanctuary, is a small shrine containing the stone footprints of Lord Rama. Large numbers of Ramar devotees gather here during the 2nd week of April to celebrate Ram Navami Festival.
Several historical sites like Ramar Padam, Modimandapam and Old Chola lighthouse are located in the Sanctuary. Ramar Padam carries the stone footprints of Lord Rama. One can have a beautiful view of the sanctuary from the watch tower located near the shrine.
The ruins of a 1000-year old Chola light house stands at the point known as Point Calimere. Here, the Bay of Bengal meets the Palk Strait. A modern lighthouse constructed in 1890 lies close to the spot.
On the faith of a name impossible things are made possible. From the Puranas it was told that under the leadership of Lord Rama and with the help Vanara sena and Nala Ram-Sethu was constructed. In the Tamil speech, we are explaining that How Ram-Sethu was constructed within five days. We need not go the question of whether Ramar-Sethu really exists? What could be the big land mass bridging India and Sri-Lanka? Is it a geological formation? If not, who could make a massive earth or bridge on the sea, addressed Adams Bridge by the British Rulers?
One has faith on Lord Rama need not go to center of the sea for doing worship. He can do the worship on the seashore itself. That worship is being done in the Rameswaram Seashore on every day by thousands of Ram Bakthas. Every person must have true faith and earnest longing on their religion and God.

Arjun Sampath demands NIA investigation to identify the anti national elements in IIT Madras
*Arjun Sampath demands NIA investigation to identify the anti national elements in IIT Madras*
Chennai, 16 Dec 2019
Hindu Makkal Katchi President Arjun Sampath has demanded immediate investigation by National Investigation Agency (NIA) of anti national elements in the IIT Campus.
In the protest held by the students today by a few students inside the IIT Madras campus against the Citizens Amendment Act 2019, the students were shouting slogans against the country and also shouted Ázadi'slogans. They also burnt the copies of the Act passed by the Parliament, which is punishable under law.
It is understood that in the 60 years of history of IIT Madras, this is the first time, a political protest is being held inside the campus, that too shouting slogans against the country.
It is also understood that many of the students of Humanities and Social Science Department indulge in such anti national activites. These students indulge in such activities almost for the past four or five years creating disturbance to the peaceful academic atmosphere. It is also learnt that many students are residing in the hostels, even after several years of their completing the course, just to create problems.
We condemn IIT Management for not taking any action against the anti national elements who display openly their anti national sentiments.
Because of the inaction by the IIT Management, these students have developed courage to shout slogans like 'Hindustan down down', Azadi, etc. openly before the media. They also burn the Indian Act without any fear of legal action.
Hindu Makkal Katchi leaders will be meeting the Director of IIT on Tuesday to lodge our protest against such activities in the world class institution like IIT.
We request the Director to lodge a police complaint against the students who shouted anti national slogans and get them arrested.
Since the HSS Department is the breeding ground for all anti national elements, we demand the closure of the course with immediate effect.
We appeal to the Prime Minister to order a thorough investigation by NIA immediately to weed out and arrest the anti-national elements from the IIT Madras Campus.
Arjun Sampath
President
Hindu Makkal Katchi

Shiv Tandav Stotra ORIGINAL.flv
Shiva Tandava Stotra (शिवताण्डवस्तोत्रम्) is a hymn of praise in the Hindu tradition that describes Shiva's power and beauty. It was sung by the son of Rishi Vishrawas (aka Vishrava),Ravana.
Ravana was a historical emperor who reigned over Sri Lanka from 2554 BC to 2517 BC. Ravana whose brother is kuber. Both the fourth and fifth quatrains of this hymn conclude with lists of Shiva's epithets as destroyer, even the destroyer of death itself. Alliteration and onomatopoeia create roiling waves of resounding beauty in this example of Hindu devotional poetry.
In the final quatrain of the poem, after tiring of rampaging across the Earth, Ravana asks, When will I be happy? Because of the intensity of his prayers and ascetic meditation, of which this hymn was an example, Ravana received from Shiva the boon of indestructibility by all powers on heaven and earth — except by a human being. Disdaining the seeming weakness of humans, Ravana abducted the wife of Rama, Lord Vishnu incarnate. India's great epic, the Ramayana, tells the story of this abduction and of the battle between Lord Rama and Ravana which shook the universe.
