Experience Bergen and the fjords in winter
There are lots of things to do in Bergen (Norway) in winter season.
Winter is a great time to see the world famous fjords, enjoy the many concerts and shows in the city or explore Mount Fløyen or Ulriken.
Fjord cruises:
Take a fjord cruise from Bergen to idyllic Mostraumen, through Osterfjorden, with steep mountains and beautiful waterfalls. The trip takes 3 hours and starts at Zachariasbryggen, right next to the Fish Market.
If you want to take a longer trip, Norway’s most popular roundtrip, Norway in a Nutshell, is recommended. An awesome Norway road trip route to fjords from Bergen to the fjords and making our way to Bygstad where we based ourselves at Villa Amot, the perfect spot to go on day missions to the fjords and other sights in the area. This was a great Norway roadtrip route and in the beginning of the video we show you the route. Whether you're taking the Norway road trip to fjords 2016, 2017 or 2018 it doesn't really matter as I don't think that much will change! Lots take awesome Norway road trips from Oslo but if you want to see the fjords it makes much more sense to start your Norway road trip to fjords from Bergen!

This August we visited the land of Fjords, Norway.
We took a fjord cruise ride offered by Rodne Fjord Cruise.
Have a look at our journey to super scenic fjords and enjoy the ride virtually. We started from Bergen and far into long and beautiful Osterfjord. Along the way, the fjord narrows between steep mountains, and we feel the strong current of Mostraumen straits. We also pass tall waterfalls thundering down the mountainsides and had a taste of their crystal-clear mountain water.

Fjord tour from Oslo to Bergen. The boat tour starts from the most beautiful village, Flam. It was a 5 hours tour and it was an impressive tour.
Things to do in Bergen Norway: a Winter fjord cruise (subtitled)
One of the best things to do whilst in Bergen (in Winter) is go on a 'Norway in a Nutshell ®' cruise and the famous Flåmsbana Railway. The tour reveals stunning scenery that leaves one in no doubt as to why Norwegian Blue parrots - made famous by Monty Python - pine for the fjords. This short (tongue-in-cheek) film begins the journey at Bergen, travelling to Voss, past the Tvinnefossen waterfall, to Gudvangen and the beautiful Nærøyfjord, to Flåm and through the valley up towards Myrdal before heading back to Bergen - all in one day.
