Manggarai Villages and Markets Around Ruteng, Flores Island, Indonesia
Tour guides will usually only take you to tried and true (along with safe) restaurants. Deathly afraid that dainty stomachs will rebel. Lunch at Agape Cafe in Ruteng before heading to a typical Manggarai village. The village was nowhere near as interesting as the unique Spider Web rice fields.
Ruteng was the next stop. A one night stay here at the Susteran Bunda Maria Hotel, part of a monastery! And then a walk through Ruteng's half empty market. Tomorrow was Easter Sunday and the locals were busy preparing. A big day on this almost completely Catholic Island.

Kegiatan bersepeda seorang diri menjelajahi berbagai kepulauan di Nusantara akan dilakukan dan dibagi dalam beberapa serial perjalanan, dengan tujuan untuk mengenali budaya, adat istiadat dan destinasi wisata dari setiap pulau yang dikunjungi.
Di setiap akhir episode akan selalu ditampilkan Route dan Elevasi yang mudah-mudahan bisa menjadi referensi bagi pesepeda yang ingin menjelajahi keindahan kepulauan di Indonesia tercinta.

Ajang balap sepeda internasional Tour de Flores 2017 memasuki etape terakhir. Pada etape ke-6 para pembalap akan menempuh jarak 120 kilometer dari Ruteng ke Labuan Bajo.

Perjalanan bermotor yg saya mulai tanggal 18 hingga 28 Oktober 2016 dari Bali hingga Larantuka benar benar memberi pengalaman yang tak terlupakan dan sangat berkesan. Keindahan alam indonesia dari Bali hingga ke ujung timur Pulau flores benar benar memukau. Orang2nya yg sangat ramah dan begitu bersahaja serasa seperti kembali bertemu dengan kawan lama.Pantai-pantainya yg menawan, hutan2nya yang masih terjaga serta budaya mereka yang unik benar2 sebuah perjalanan yg memberi kesan yang mendalam.Walau secara jujur harus diakui timpangnya imprastruktur pendukung antara Indonesia bagian barat dengan Indonesia timur , seperti akses air bersih dan listrik masih terbatas serta kondisi jalan2 kabupaten yang masih rusak parah. Namun saya menemukan optimisme di wajah wajah mereka bahwa seiring berjalannya waktu Flores akan bangkit menyamai saudar2 mereka yg lain di indonesia.. Terima kasih Flores atas kecantikanmu dan keramah tamahan masyarakatmu..saya akan kembali.. Dengan memacu Honda Tiger 2009 jarak 2672 KM begitu pendek karena sepanjang jalan mata kita benar benar dimanjakan oleh indahnya panorama dan ramahnya masyarakat sekitar... silahkan menyimak video ini dan semoga kalian menyukainya.
