Floyd Va Real Estate - Oakley Boyd Farm 166 Acres
The Oakley Boyd Farm is 166 Acres located in Floyd County Virginia. This is one of the best farms in the area, and I have personally kept cattle on this property for years. It has everything you could want in a farm for raising animals or growing crops.
As you can see, about 85% of the property is suitable for hay and pasture. The other 15% is big woods.
This property fronts on two state maintained roads, and there are three different entrances that you can use off of Mack's Mountain Road depending on which way you want to enter the property. It maintains its privacy even though it fronts on two roads.
There are multiple spots with 360 degree views. You can see some of the views in the pictures.
There is an abundance of water on this property, with bold springs and streams, and multiple pond sites. It is also fenced for cattle.
This property is also very near the community's fire department, elementary school, and rescue squad. In fact, the rescue squad is at the crossroads of the two roads this property fronts on.
This is truly one of the best farms in the area, and is both private and accessible. There are numerous potential building sites on the property if you chose to build your dream home here, or perfect just the way it is if you choose to farm it.
617 Acres Land Floyd Virginia
Floyd Virginia: The Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwest Virginia await you on this spectacular 617 acre natural preserve, locally known as The Freestate. As you explore this truly stunning property, you will be amazed at the magnificent waterfalls, unlimited, unencumbered views, old growth timber, plunge pool streams and the rich biodiversity that are all features of this incredible land holding. For the new owner, compelling property development economics have been created by the inclusion of a 50’ ROW from a state maintained roadway. This gives the new owner vast potential for luxury home development, recreational development, special event development, or a private fish and game estate with bear, turkey, grouse, woodcock, deer, and native trout fly fishing - all connected with ATV trails and multiple camp sites. When you tour and explore this marquee property, you will be amazed this has been a privately owned real estate asset, because it has the look and feel of a National Park. And, when you are standing at base of one the falls there, it is hard to believe you are only less than an hour away from Roanoke and Blacksburg. In short, it is a real jaw dropper.
Floyd County is situated atop a high plateau of the Blue Ridge Mountains which divides the eastward flowing from the westward flowing waters. With the high topography, no streams flow into Floyd County. The tributaries which flow into New River below the Claytor Lake Dam and, in turn, by way of the Kanawha River, the Ohio River and the Mississippi River, into the Gulf of Mexico. The headwaters of the south fork of the Roanoke River are in the northeastern part of the county. No water flows into Floyd County - it all flows out – If you are in the market for a recreational, timber or development property do not let this slip by. An unbelievable opportunity to own this majestic piece of real estate awaits you.

Help Us Develop Downtown Tecumseh | MEDC
Help us transform downtown Tecumseh and expand the Farmers Market into a thriving public market place. To learn more and donate, visit
Our main focus in the beautification of this 28,857 sq. ft. property is to provide a venue for the community to access local goods. The site boasts a 4,302 sq. ft. lumber barn that will be renovated to host 15-20 farmers, crafters, artists, antique dealers and more. Additional growers and artisan vendors will be accommodated outside the market pavilion as part of this open air market concept. The lumber barn renovation involves the removal of the front wall to open up the space, repairs to the metal roof panels, power washing of the interior and exterior, and priming and painting of the exterior. The outdoor space will be softened to create a wonderful gathering space for the community with the addition of landscaping and lighting and the incorporation of colorful, vibrant works of art.
Each donation, no matter how big or small makes a difference and counts toward making the Market on Evans public marketplace a reality. To show our appreciation, we are offering rewards at every contribution level for your support of this project.
