Getting pretty late, winds weren't ideal and we almost crash into the trees at takeoff

Paraglider crashes into tree near landing area
Woman was caught about 100 feet up a tree
Kent-Harrison & Chilliwack SAR along with BCEHS and the RCMP responded
SAR crews performed a high angle rescue which several hours to execute. The patient was transported to hospital with minor injuries

Paragliding Harrison Hot Springs B.C. May Long Weekend

Launched from Woodside Mountain in Harrison Mills B.C. Flew XC to Harrison Hot Springs B.C. Canada. May 20th 2013. the flight took a little over an hour i launched at 680 meters and doubled my altitude to approx 1200 meters before heading down wind to harrison hot springs. i got a little low over the prison and had to fight for some lift. totally worth it cant wait to go again, would like to thank flybc for teaching me the ways of the paraglider!

Some footage of Lower Mainland paraglider pilots at Mt. Woodside, British Columbia, Canada. Flights averaged a couple of hours, with most pilots getting up into the clouds before heading XC towards, and returning to land at the ranch of Jim Reich and Colleen Varcoe (FlyBC.org). Cold air up there!
