Autumn is the best time of year to scuba dive in Port Stephens as the water is at it warmest and usually clear. Fly Point is in a sanctuary zone within the Port Stephens Great Lakes Marine Park.

Snorkelling at Fly point (Nelson Bay) 25.Jan.2014
It wasn't very nice day for snorkelling. The water was little bit cold for us and it was little bit mucky too. The visibility was around 3 metres, so we stayed close to the shore. Some guys said there were sea turtles but I wasn't lucky enough to see that. But it was good to see some of familiar fishes like breams and stripeyes.
After this short kicking, we decide to come over again for the better experience, Also hope next time we would have clearer water.
