DAY 1: En Route to OSLO, NORWAY (Flying with Qatar Airways)
Our epic journey to Norway began with an 8-hours flight from Changi Airport, Singapore to Hamad International Airport, Doha.
Thanks to the amazingly comfortable Q-Suites by Qatar Airways, we were able to stay pretty fresh despite having to take a 2am flight.
We arrived at Doha with plenty of drama.
Due to the short layover time of around 2 hours and the massive crowd in the Al Mourjan Business lounge, we didn't had time to shower or eat before we continue our journey to Oslo, Norway.
On the 2nd leg of our journey, we got onboard with the Qatar Airways Business class on the Boeing 747-8. Everything was so good on the plane and it seriously doesn't feel like a 6-hour flight.
When we stepped foot onto Oslo, the feeling was incredible. Well, probably it was just the typical vacation mood and I feel that I was in a totally different world (mostly due to the fact that I didn't see any Chinese or Asians at the Oslo Airport).
So, we went on to collect our rental car (a Toyota RAV 4) with SIXT, and our 14-day road trip around Southern Norway begins ...????

Fly Norwegian Air B737-800 Longyearbyen-Oslo
There's not much good I can say about a Norwegian Air flight (except it landed safely). What's with an airline that doesn't offer a free glass of water to passengers? Norway is big on save the earth and recycling, but Norwegian Air wants passengers to buy a plastic bottle of water
They have video but bring your own ear buds or BUY a pair from them. And they don't serve food.
It's beyond me.

Riding Flytoget, Express Train From Oslo Airport To Central Station, Oslo
Flytoget, the Airport Express Train is a Norwegian high-speed airport rail link connecting Oslo Airport, Gardermoen to Oslo Central Station in nineteen minutes.[5] Run by Flytoget, it operates on the high-speed Gardermoen Line using sixteen GMB Class 71 electric trains. Normal service frequency is once every ten minutes, with five of the services each hour continuing westwards beyond Oslo Central. The extended services serve nine stops within Greater Oslo and take up to 60 minutes.
Flytoget transported 5.4 million passengers in 2007, a 34-percent market share of airport ground transport.[6] The service, which has a top speed of 210 kilometres per hour (130 mph), is the only high-speed rail service in Norway. Construction started in 1994 and high-speed trains began serving Gardermoen Airport from the date of its opening on 8 October 1998, although full operation using the 14.5-kilometre-long (9.0 mi) Romerike Tunnel had to wait another ten and a half months after severe leaks caused by the tunnel's construction led to the partial depletion of two lakes.
Formed in 1992 as a subsidiary of Norwegian State Railways, the company has been owned since 2001 by the Norwegian Ministry of Trade and Industry.
