BELGRADE TRAVEL VLOG: TRADITIONAL SERBIAN FOOD market & music | TRAVEL VLOG IV
Traditional Serbian food market & music in Belgrade. I traveled to Serbia for the holidays with 2glimpse and today aunty Ljolja is taking me to a traditional Serbian food market in Belgrade. I'm basically doing an exchange learning everything about my birth city. Absolutely love learning more about traditional Serbian food but next to that we also visit a concert in the evening. Exploring Belgrade this way is such a fun holiday trip! Learn more about 2Glimpse on

FAQ's:
Q Where are you from?
A I am born in former Yugoslavia. Mom is Serbian, Dad is Bosnian. During the '90's war we came to the Netherlands and I got Dutch nationality. I've lived in Amsterdam for 8 years but lost my heart to India. Since 2018 I'm based in Bangalore. See this video for my refugee story:
Q How can you afford to travel so much?
A I saved for 3 years while working full time and now travel vlogging is my job. I work together with tourism agencies but also do some freelance work on the side. You can watch this video: and this one: to learn more about my story.
Q What camera do you film with and what editing software do you use?
A Canon G7X Mark II and Final Cut Pro X
Q (Why) Are you vegetarian?
A I'm vegetarian but not strict. I don't eat any meat, fish, cooked/boiled or fried eggs. I gradually became a vegetarian over the course of 15 years because I disliked the taste of meat more and more. After doing a yoga teacher training in 2015 I also quit fish and the eggs. No matter my food preferences I have no issues with other people not being vegetarian. I don't judge others and kind of expect the same favor from others concerning my own food preferences. It makes for a more friendly world :-)
Q Why do you usually travel alone?
A Because my friends have jobs with limited holidays, kids and partners. Also I really like exploring on my own.

???????? BELGRADE | ĆEVAPI - The BEST BALKAN FOOD? | BRIT discovers BALKAN HERITAGE in SERBIA
???????? BELGRADE, SERBIA - TRAVEL DAY 990 - Welcome to Belgrade, the capital of Serbia! This video is PART 2 of a THREE PART SERIES!
Belgrade has an IMMENSE history! It's seriously OLD, dating back to Roman and Ottoman times, has stunning food, cool things to do, brilliant nightlife and most of all, the people are brilliant!
8 months ago I did a DNA test with MyHeritage.com - despite knowing I had Polish heritage on my mother's side - there was always a question around whether I had more Southeastern European roots - the test confirmed I was 31% Balkan so having already been to Poland, I wanted to visit the Balkans to learn more about my potential heritage, and I'm glad I did!
In this video, we head out in the evening from Savalmala to Kalmegdan, Belgrade Fortress, the bohemian district (Skadarlija) and best of all, sample some AMAZING SERBIAN FOOD - Cevapi! Some more awesome things to do in Belgrade!

SERBIAN FOOD - Cevapi, Pasta, Burgers, Rakija (YUM)
The food and service in Serbia are amazing! Serbia is a small Eastern European country (next to Croatia) that really is heaven for travellers looking for amazing food and memorable service.
Whilst in Serbia, we ate some of the best food we have ever eaten, and, if you're a meat eater, you're almost assured to love it, too. With a long list of Serbian food delicacies to choose from, we can't choose just one favourite - cevapi, sarma, chufta, pljeskavica. Also, if you haven't tried rakija (rakia), traditional Serbian plum brandy, you are in for a treat. This video shows you some of the menu offerings we found on our latest trip. Živeli Serbia.
In this video we visited Serbia's Belgrade, Stari Grad, Kalemegdan Fortress (Belgrade Fortress) and Zemun.
This video contains closed captions for hearing impaired people.

Best Restaurants in Belgrade Serbia! Ambar, Tri Šešira and more!
We went to Belgrade for a couple of days and were able to (re)visit some incredible restaurants with amazing food!
Ambar is definitely our favourite as their food is very modern, tasty and genius. The portions are not as big as in usual Serbian restaurants but this way you can try out several dishes. We highly recommend the Ambar train as you get to taste the whole menu unless you say stop :)
The service is the best and they are very knowledgable about all the dishes. Special thanks to Novica who recognised Dani even after one year and he even remembered what Dani ordered during his first stay! You're the BEST, Novica!
By the way Ambar was number 6 in Tripadvisor's ranking last year and in March 2017 they were already second place!!! You guys deserve it!
If you go to Belgrade then visiting Skadarlija and Tri Šešira is a must, and I bet all the restaurants there are amazing too. Tri Miloš' Sword at Tri Šešira and you can never go wrong with the famous Cevapi!
We could go on and on reporting about the amazing restaurants and food in Belgrade. If you find the time to visit, go for it! The people are very friendly too and there are some amazing places to hang out, especially during the summer time.
What is your favourite restaurant and dish from Serbia? Leave us a comment!

There are tons of amazing restaurants in Belgrade, but today I am taking you to the top four restaurants I featured during my visit to Belgrade.
We start of at the Sava river at restaurant Comunale, one of the trendiest restaurants in Belgrade. They serve casual food, pizza, ribs, burgers and sausages. It's located in an old warehouse complex built in the 1930's.
Next up we headed to Homa Restaurant for a tasting menu. This is one of the most exclusive fine dining restaurants in Belgrade. They serve modern fusion European food in a romantic setting. They change the menu every 6 months.
If you are looking for gourmet vegan food in Belgrade then you have to head to Radost House. It's located right next to the Kalemagden fortress.
Lastly we head to one of the hottest restaurants in Belgrade, restaurant Iguana. It's one of the best fusion restaurants in Belgrade. Really good food, amazing service and great Jazz music.
There you have it, the best four restaurants in Belgrade!

SERBIA WILL SURPRISE YOU! Belgrade First Impressions | Serbia Travel Vlog
Don't miss this vlog - Belgrade will definitely surprise you! This is not the Serbia you expect | Grab a 2 month free trial of Skillshare Premium, only 500 available here —
Serbia... wow! Didn't expect we'd be in Belgrade making travel vlogs if you asked us a few years ago, but here we are, and we LOVE Belgrade! This place is an amazing, and very underrated, travel destination - let us show you why.
In this vlog we sort of cover both our initial impressions of Belgrade, how we feel about Serbia, our surprises and then at the end wrap it up after we've stayed for 2 weeks in Serbia. Theres lots of things to do in Belgrade - we visit the Fortress, explore a cute park, find an amazing restaurant scene, scope out the nightlife spots, eat some local(ish) food, check out the shopping scene and try some local craft beer.
First impressions last, or so they say, and it's true for Belgrade. How we felt on the first day is exactly how things stayed a few weeks later - it's amazing! We also took a road trip to Novi Sad for the day with friends, another popular spot in Serbia, but we weren't filming that day sorry.
Moral of the story - consider places like Serbia, cities like Belgrade, locations that the masses don't always chat about and share online. These are the cities and experiences we love, places like Belgrade are why we travel - hidden gems that we get to experience, travel, vlog and share with you... thanks us later.
