Hi everyone! My sisters and I recently went on the trip of a lifetime to Israel. I will have a whole series on each city we visited, and this Haifa travel vlog is the first in that series. Haifa is one of the more overlooked cities to visit in Israel, but in my opinion, it is not to be missed! Haifa is a young city full of artists and coexistence between people of all religions. Follow along and find out the incredible places we visited and ate while in Haifa, Israel!

Israel is a middle eastern country on the Mediterranean Sea, it is regarded by Jews, Christians and Muslims as the biblical Holy Land, it has gorgeous beaches, and it is an intense party country.
I am starting my tour in the city of Jaffa, which is the southern and oldest part of Tel Aviv, for some mouth watering dessert.
Then I travel to Givatayim for a Jewish- Iraqi and Israeli treat.
Then I head to Ramat-Gan for some delicious meat.
Followed by a trip to Tel-Aviv for one of Israel's most iconic street foods.
Then a drive to Ramla for a delightful Levantine and Egyptian food.
Next a trip to HaSira Interchange in Herzliya for a sweet treat which is just out of this world.
After checking out this amazing delicacy I will take a short walk to the Glilot junction where I will eat an outstanding filling pastry.
I will then hop over to the city of Or Yehuda for a fresh dish that contains a very rich tomato source.
From there to the city of Petach-Tikva where I will eat a very enjoyable dish that is pounded and fried
And lastly I will end my tour in Israel's capital Jerusalem where I will try out some rather unusual ice cream.
If you love to eat delicious meals in beautiful cities which are very close to each other, then you should add Israel to the list of countries that you are definitely going to visit.
Whether inside a bubbling city or in quiet remote gas station which is far from all the noise you will be sure to find some pretty amazing dishes, and some pretty amazing people.

Tel Aviv Food Tour - BEST Sabich, Hummus, and Lamb Pita - Middle Eastern Israeli Food!

For this Tel Aviv, Israel, food tour, we hooked up with my friend David ( to eat some of the best food in Tel Aviv, including a few true gems of Israeli and Middle Eastern food.
Our first stop was in Jaffa, the old area of Tel Aviv, just south of the main city. It’s an ancient Biblical city, and I was excited to visit. Located in Jaffa is Abu Hassan, one of the most legendary and standards of hummus in Tel Aviv.
Abu Hassan - Located in a peaceful area of Jaffa, this restaurant is always packed and busy full of people hungry for hummus, ful, and musabaha. it’s truly a legendary place and the hummus was of the sticky and smooth variety. I think my favorite thing was the musabaha, like hummus, but with whole chickpeas. They also offer a mix of hummus, ful, and musabaha all in a single bowl which is excellent.
Total price - 72 ILS ($20.95)
Sabich Tchernichovsky - An Iraqi Jewish food in Israel, sabich is a pita filled with eggplant and hard boiled eggs, and a selection of salad and condiments. David says that there’s no doubt Sabich Tchernichovsky makes the best sabich in Israel, and I was very impressed. He assembled the pita so slowly and perfectly, adding layer upon layer of eggplant, egg, and salad. It was truly one of the best vegetarian (but with egg) sandwiches I’ve ever had.
Price - 21 ILS ($5.87)
Falafel Johnny Benin - Next to Sabich Tchernichovsky, is Falafel Johnny Benin, a legendary Tel Aviv falafel hole in the wall restaurant. I ordered a half of a falafel sandwich, with salad and tahini. It was delicious, and freshly cooked.
Half falafel pita - 9 ILS ($2.51)
Carmel Market - Carmel Market is one of the most well known of all open air flea markets in Tel Aviv. You’ll find everything there, including a nice food section.
HaBasta Restaurant - Located on a side street of Carmel Market, is HaBasta, a gourmet market fresh restaurant. They served us some very fresh and interesting dishes. The crab was delicious, and the fried veal brain was amazing, but I especially loved the cherry salad.
Total price - 400 ILS ($111.72)
Pronto Restaurant - Owned by the renowned Chef David Frankel, Pronto is a refined Israeli Italian and Mediterranean restaurant. The food was extremely high quality, and the flavors were very subtle and delicious. We were planning to pay for our meal, but David knows the chef very well, and Chef David wouldn’t allow us to pay. Delicious high end gourmet food.
Jasmino - This was probably my favorite food on this entire Israeli food tour of Tel Aviv, Jasmino, specializing in grilled meat pita. The owner, another extremely kind man, ordered me the sweetbreads pita, grilled thymus and bottom part of lamb throat glands, with salad and tahini. It was extraordinary. My kind of a place.
Price - 28 ILS ($7.82)
And that completed our Tel Aviv food tour!

Druze Israeli Food and Arabic Cuisine at a restaurant in Haifa, Israel (מטבח ערבי ישראלי דרוזי)
Druze Israeli Food and Arabic Cuisine at a restaurant in Haifa, Israel (מטבח ערבי ישראלי דרוזי) One of the most fascinating aspects of the meal was having a sneak peak into the kitchen prior to the dishes being served. I was mesmerized by the skill of the ladies preparing the all of the dishes; with such speed, accuracy and grace they handled numerous dishes all at once.

Druze people are known in Israel for their warmth and hospitality. If you dine or eat at a Druze home you are more than likely to be treated with a feast.
Some of our favorite dishes from the buffet lunch included hummus, tabbouleh, chicken stuffed with rice, meat in a tahini sauce and sweet dessert filled with honey and crushed nuts.
For lunch today we're having a Druze meal and I'm standing right beside an olive tree. Ooh, with little olives. You can see them.
And she's preparing kebabs. There is cabbage, there is stuffed lime beans.
We're going to have a feast of a buffet about to take place, so come let me show you all the good food.
So the food is amazing. I think my favorite so far is this chicken. Which is stuffed with rice and lots of spices.
This is such an amazing feast. Everything I've tried so far has been good.
That was the feast of all feasts. I am super stuffed. I promised myself I was only going to have one plate but I ended up going back for seconds and then also dessert.

There are few cities in the world that can compare to Jerusalem in terms of ancient history and religious significance. It’s one of the most fascinating cities in the world, and it’s a city that I’ve wanted to visit my entire life. Finally, along with my friend David ( and Rafram, we explored Jerusalem to discover the food treasures the city has to offer - and let me tell you, you’ll find some incredibly delicious food in Jerusalem!
We started off the Jerusalem food tour by first walking around East Jerusalem and starting with the best plate of hummus I’ve ever had. We then toured around Old Jerusalem, and enjoyed some incredible Palestinian food kebabs cooked by an incredible man who cooked with serious love and passion. Another highlight in Jerusalem was the mutabak, a thin pastry stuffed with cheese and baked.
After eating our way through Old Jerusalem, we then headed into West Jerusalem and went to lunch at an Israeli Jewish restaurant serving a mix of amazing dishes. The food was home-cooked in style, and absolutely sensation. A few more snacks and sightseeing throughout the afternoon, and that brought us all the way to dinner where David had made reservations to eat at one of the hottest restaurants in Jerusalem, Machneyuda Restaurant. It was quite an experience, and an amazing meal and lively atmosphere to wrap up this ultimate Jerusalem food tour.
Here’s all the food and places included in this Palestinian food and Israeli food tour of Jerusalem:

It was a lot of food in a single day, but it was one of the greatest food and learning days that I’ve ever had in my life. The generosity of the people we connected with, paired with the food, was truly a memorable experience in Jerusalem.
Thank you again to David ( and Rafram for showing me some of the best food in Jerusalem!
