EATING Traditional Food and Street Food in Poland ???? Incredible Polish Food Tour in Kraków
Wondering what to eat in Poland? Well this video is for you. We found the best Polish dishes. This is our last video in Poland (for this trip), so we decided we had to do a full eating Polish Food video. We decided to concentrate on both Polish Street foods and some traditional Polish dishes!
To start things off we decided to try a sweet treat, called Pączki. Pączki are essentially glazed filled donuts. The one we picked came with lemon zest and fruit filling.
Our second spot on our food tour took us to a nice cosy restaurant where we were able to try a couple of dishes. One was a delicious soup called Zalewajka (the restaurant also had the same name) which was made from sour dough, potatoes, dill and bacon. The other dish we had there was one of the most famous dishes from Poland, Pierogi! Although you can get so many different types and variaties we opted to stick with one of the most traditional which comes filled with potato, cottage cheese and bacon.
On our next stop we took a break from food to try some Polish vodka! We found a cosy little bar that had lots of options, so we tried regular vodka with some lemon juice squeezed in as well as coffee, cherry and rose flavours.
Our last stop on our DIY food tour took us to an outdoor market where we tried a couple of things! One was a traditional Polish sausage called Kielbasa, it was served with bread and mustard. And the very last thing we tried was an open-faced sandwich called zapiekanka. Zapiekanka was traditionally served as a baguette with mushrooms, cheese and ketchup on top but nowadays you can get all sorts of different kids. Our had sausage, mushrooms, cheese, garlic sauce and crispy onions.
ABOUT POLISH FOOD
Polish cuisine is a style of cooking and food preparation originating in or widely popular in Poland. Polish cuisine has evolved over the centuries to become very eclectic due to Poland's history and it shares many similarities with neighbouring Czech and Slovak culinary traditions.

Cycling & trying POLISH FOOD in KRAKOW! | Krakow Poland Tour
It's my day off and I did something I've been wanting to do for a long time... I decided to hire a bike and spend one day in Krakow exploring as much as possible. Oh, and trying Polish food of course!
In between blogging projects and press trips, I decided to spend one week in Krakow Poland on a me trip. Like usual, I ended up with a massive backlog of work when I arrived but I whizzed through it and spent one day exploring properly. And I decided to explore by bike!
Krakow is a beautiful city and the perfect place for a day of cycling. Cycling in Krakow is safe and easy, so it was a great way to see all the best things in Krakow in just one day.
In this Krakow vlog we visit:
Krakow's Jewish Quarter, where we try zapiekanka - a polish sandwich - for the first time
Then we head to the suburbs of Krakow, passing churches and colourful houses on the way. After stopping for a couple of rounds of go-karting, we continue our cycling tour of Krakow and visit one of the famous mounds, Krakus. From here, we got a fantastic view of Krakow Old Town and saw just how big the city actually is! We ended the day in Krakow with a trip to Starka, a restaurant in the Jewish quarter that sells flavoured vodka and traditional Polish food. We tried pierogis (of course!), Polish Beet Soup (Barszcz Czysty Czerwony, or Borscht) and Polish Prunes Wrapped in Bacon (Sliwki w Boczku).
And that's in for our day in Poland! I absolutely loved visiting Krakow and trying Polish food, so can't recommend this city enough.
As always, thanks for watching and you in the next travel vlog!

Just a quick video for you guys today! We usually don't splurge on expensive tours like this one, but we decided to go for it because we absolutely love Polish food. We tried some new dishes, and also tasted some delicious things we were familiar with. It was a great tour and we got to meet a bunch of nice people. Ivana's favourite was the Pierogi and the Zurek; Steve's favourite was the little pigeons!

5 BEST Polish food to try in Krakow
#PolishFood #KrakowFood #KrakowStreetFood #StreetFood #FoodVlogs
Consider this your essential Polish Food guide. Polish Street food is great, there is a large variety and all very delicious and fairly cheap. The best Polish street food can be found in Krakow, which is the most visited Polish city. The variety and selection of Polish food in Krakow is amazing. One of the best ways to experience Krakow is through the Polish food varieties and the Polish street food on offer. In this video we will take you on a tour of the best Polish street food options in Krakow.
Best Polish food in Krakow:
-Obwarzanki: There are street carts all over Krakow serving these inexpensive bagels. Usually served with poppy seeds, but also available topped with cheese or sesame seeds.
-Pierogi: This is the typical Polish Dumpling which can be found in most restaurants serving Polish Food in Krakow. Pierogi can be filled with either sweet or savoury fillings. You can also buy pierogi at the grocery store or markets, which you can make at home.
-Polish Donuts / Polish pączki: These are lighter and fluffier than American Donuts. These are cooked with a small amount of alcohol which results in less oil being absorbed.
-Zapiekanka at Plac Nowy: Zapiekanka is essentially a large piece of flat bread with various toppings, very similar to a Pizza.
-Żurek (a Polish Rye Soup): This is a bitter polish soup with egg and smoked sausage, often served in a bread bowl.
-Lody / Polish Ice Cream: There are so many ice cream shops in Krakow. The Polish ice cream has a higher fat content, so tends to be more creamy than in other countries. Well worth a try, especially during hot days. Here is a link to a blog with some good ice cream places:
Krakow has many excellent restaurants. There are many Michelin guide mentioned restaurants in Krakow. We went to three different restaurants. Here is the list of Michelin guide mentioned restaurants in Krakow:
Note: I personally chose and paid for all the food in this video. None of the content is sponsored.

Wooooo! The Old Town of Krakow Poland is an absolute MUST for any European backpacking trip. This place is an absolute 5/5.
It's photogenic, it's historical, it's cultural, it's safe & clean, there's great food, and it's not far from tourist hot spots -- the salt mine and Auschwitz. This place is great!
We explored with our buddy Farell Salvador during the morning, until he had to catch a plane to London! Check out his channel here:
After he left, we shopped for some souvenirs, had some incredible food!!, and really just enjoyed the incredible ambiance of the Old Town. So much history and so much beauty... wow!
We stayed in a hostel in the old town, which was clean and affordable. There are plenty of options for you to choose from if you are thinking of doing the same. And you should! We absolutely, positively, definitely recommend it! Krakow's Old Town is a MUST!

We Tried Delicious Polish Food in Krakow, Poland
It's our final day here in Poland and so many of you said that you cannot leave Poland without heading towards Krakow to try some tasty Polish food.
We woke up super early to catch the train from Warsaw to Poland (which takes around 3 hours to do). Upon arrival we started looking for a yummy breakfast snack and if you're in Krakow you need to try Obwarzanek krakowski which is the Krakow bagel.
After exploring the largest old town market square in Europe we headed out to find some Polish street food a Zapiekanka which totally reminded Jess of her childhood.
After all these savory snacks we wanted something sweet and you guys know we love trying donuts from around the world - so we had to have a pączek from Stara Pączkarnia.
Before we catch our train back to Warsaw we needed a proper lunch so we went to Bar Targowy to have some Polish Dumplings.

Two Days In Beautiful Krakow & Changing Plans⎮Poland Trip 2018
Hi beautiful friends! I hope you are well today ♡ I'm so excited to share with you my adventures in amazing Krakow, Poland, for the first time! This was an amazing city with so much to offer, so rich in culture, and so breathtaking in its own way. I arrived in Krakow via the rapid train service from Warsaw Central Station, and got to explore beautiful Old Town, St Mary's Basilica, Wawel Castle, Kazimeirz, and even a short day trip to Wieliczka for a Salt Mine Tour. This mine was definitely something I had never seen before and if you ever visit Krakow, I highly recommend it :) The vegan food was of course abundant as well, which is amazing! These two and a half days seemed to fly by, and it just felt so surreal once again to actually be in this city, another dream that came true. Thank you so much to the kind hearted souls who I also met during this time, I appreciate you wholeheartedly and I am simply filled with pure love. Every day I wake up with so much gratitude for this life, these unforgettable experiences, and I hope this vlog could also inspire you to release your inner child, explore, surrender, and do things that make you feel alive. You are worthy♡ I am sending my love! xxx

Full Krakow in Poland Tour
Krakow food. Polish food.
Krakow market and shopping
Krakow day & night life
Krakow Grocery Shopping + Polish Milk Bar
Our Poland adventure continues in Krakow and the first place we visit is our neighbourhood milk bar. You really MUST eat at a milk bar when visiting Poland. A milk bar is left over from Poland's communist days when the government subsidized the food to allow people to afford a meal out. Today it's a no frills, self-serve, authentic place to find traditional Polish food at an extremely affordable price. Truth be told, milk bars are our favourite places to eat when in Poland. When we're full of delicious pierogi, we hit the grocery store to fill up the fridge in our Airbnb. Biedronka is a grocery chain you find across Poland - look for the cute little ladybug symbol. We always visit the grocery store when travelling, even just to look around. We walk into Krakow's Old Town to get a first impression of the city and come across a charming market. For dinner we head to Sticky Fingers and find pizza that's a metre long.

Krakow Food and Vodka Tour - $16!!!
Krakow Food and Vodka Tour - $15!!!
We LOVE food tours. In our past (big-spending) life, we took them often when we traveled. They tend to be expensive, so we haven't done one lately.
Walkative offers lots of free walking tours (we took 2 of them!). They also have a few paid tours. We booked a Food and Vodka Walking Tour of Krakow. At 60 Polish zloty per person ($16USD), it was the cheapest one we've ever taken. We didn't expect much so we were blown away that it was as good as tours we've done for 4 times the price.
We visited 9 locations and tried 1-5 items in each spot. Our guide was informative and enthusiastic (and, it was her birthday!).
The tour was in English and we HIGHLY suggest it.
This is the tour link -
We tried...
-2 types of soup
-pickles and pickled new cabbage
-3 types of sausage
-a huge sweet strawberry
-3 kinds of cheese
-rye bread
-pork liver pate
-savory and sweet pierogies
-a local fruity drink
-poppyseed cake
-FIVE kinds of vodka (plain, elderflower, honey, cherry and caramelized sugar)
Since Amy doesn't drink much, Tim expected 10 small shots to himself. Surprise! Amy drank the last 4.
After a breakfast that was so yummy (at Charlotte), we returned that same night for our last night's dinner. A delicious day in Krakow.
We would appreciate a thumbs up if you like our message. If you'd like to hear more, please subscribe. We'd love comments or questions below! We reply to every one of them.

The Most Delicious Foods in Krakow // POLAND
#Krakow #EatingInKrakow #KrakowPoland
Food is a huge part of traveling. It's a great way to learn more about a culture and a place you're visiting. So, when I'm traveling, I make it a point to eat as many traditional or local dishes as I possibly can!
Thankfully, Secret Food Tours Krakow helped out with my endeavor on this trip. They provided me with a complimentary ticket to their food tour. However, not all of the foods that I have tried in this video are offered during their tour!
Eat your way around Krakow with me and try traditional foods for yourself when you go there next!

How We Spent 3 Days in Krakow, Poland
We had a short after-christmas vacation in Krakow, Poland. We flew to Krakow, Poland via Ryanair. Ryanair offers cheap flight tickets to Poland. Our roundtrip tickets cost us less than $150 for 3 persons. We only spent 3 days in Krakow as it was a last minute kind of unplanned trip. We chose Krakow since Ryanair offered good rates on the dates we were free to travel, right after christmas.

Krakow, Poland is best enjoyed in winter if hotel accommodation is in Stare Miasto, Krakow old town. No need to travel by taxi or walk long distance to get to the main attraction of Krakow. Most of the tourist attractions can be found in old town or stare miasto in Krakow. It was our first time in Krakow and we hope to come back again and explore Krakow’s attractions. Getting sick in Krakow really spoiled the fun. We didn’t get to see many places. One important tour we missed was the Salt Mine Tour that we paid for. Non-refundable of course.
Polish Food and Vodka Tour in Kraków
We went on a food and vodka tour in Kraków that was a great introduction to Polish cuisine. From street food to gourmet fusion, we ate our way through Kraków and even had time to try a Balkan specialty.

Szambelan homemade vodka:
Balkan Express Grill:
*Note: Some food/restaurants shown were not included in our Eat Polska food tour - they were just ones we found ourselves.

20 Things to do in Kraków, Poland Travel Guide video transcript:
We kicked off this trip to Poland with a visit to Krakow, a city people have been telling us to visit for years and now we know why. Krakow in the summertime was wonderful! We spent our time enjoying castle views from the river side, exploring neighbourhoods covered in street art, eating some of the best pierogie of our lives, and also discovering what we think may be the best ice cream. The following is our travel guide to some of the best things to do in Krakow!
Wawel Castle is Krakow's crowning jewel, and for centuries it was the residence of the kings of Poland. You can see a mix of Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque architecture all in one place.
While in the city, we also had to walk the Royal Route, which was once the historic coronation path of Polish kings.
After visiting the basilica, we spent a bit of time walking the Main Square, which just so happens to be Europe's largest medieval town square.
And that’s it for our visit to Krakow! We hope this video gave you a few ideas of things to do around the city. If you have any other places to add to this list or any tips for fellow travellers visiting Krakow feel free to share those.
This is part of our Travel in Poland video series showcasing Polish food, Polish culture, Polish cuisine while visiting Kraków Polska.
