The BEST Bolivian Street Food to Try in La Paz
Finally some street food video from La Paz Bolivia! Actually, it's our first one since we're in South America. We were pretty excited about this one because who doesn't like to eat!
Bolivia is full of amazing street food and especially in La Paz!
We had the best saltenas in La Paz according to our hotel owner and walked around Mercado Lanza to try some good street food bites. Even tried cow's heart - anticucho in Mercado Camacho, known as the best spot to eat them there.

Getting a Taste of Bolivia - One Day in La Paz, Highest Capital in the World
What a wonderful day in the administrative capital of La Paz!
We strolled through the markets and the plazas, talked to locals, admired Moon Valley and took the cable cars across the city.
The perfect day to start our journey on our South America adventure in Bolivia!
Enjoy!
Foodies in La Paz | #25 Travel Guide, Bolivia
La Paz is a wonderful city. But it is also full of traffic and it is steep. So steep, that the best way to move in this city is by cable car. And as it is also considered one of the food capitals of Latin America, we decided to make our stay in this city all about food and cable cars.
We started our food tour with the Ali Pacha. It’s a vegan restaurant and even though we are not vegan or vegetarian it was pure heaven. We ordered the 7-course menu and received seven little pieces of art. Lunch we had at the restaurant Berlusca where we ate some of the best Italian food outside of Italy.
Next stop on our culinarian trip was the restaurant 1700. Entering this restaurant feels like entering a fairytale. And the dinner was so good that we got convinced that the fairytale was actually true. Popular was our choice for our second lunch. We received perfect little creations that were like a poem to our eyes and our sense of taste. But it was very important to be there half an hour before it opens at 12.30, otherwise getting a table is almost impossible! We finished our food tour with a dinner at the higher ground café. The beef filet with mushrooms was great but so big that we could barely eat half of it.
We hope we can inspire you to travel this delicious city. If you like the video give us a thumb up and subscribe to our channel so you won’t miss our next episode! Because in this one we will explore Sucre, Potosi and the Uyuni Salt Flats. And explore our other channels:

Central Market Sucre Bolivia
Sucre is the capital of Bolivia, a location where we spent a week to rest and reset after weeks of fast pace travelling. Sucre Bolivia may be the capital but it is nowhere near as big as the giant La Paz.
Sucre is a small tidy city that is ideal to hang out for a few days and take in the vibes, it is also one of the cheapest places in South America to take Spanish lessons.
Bolivian food is a huge part of Bolivian culture and tourism. Where ever you go throughout the country you will notice markets everywhere. Most places will also have a dominant Central Market.
The Central Market of Sucre became our local supermarket and this is what it looks like.

La Paz, Bolivia Trip 2019
24 Jan 2019
Turns out they bury a baby llama in the foundation of a building as a sacrifice to pacahamama so that she blesses the building. The creepy part is that they used to use hobos instead. No lie.

We have 1 full day to see the sights of La Paz today!
First we joined a walking tour ( It was 20 bolivianos each and we visited the San Pedro prison, local food market, witches market, San Francisco Church, the government buildings before ending up at a cafe with a free shot of Singani!
Afterwards we walked to the Sopacachi Mi Telerifco station (cable car) from the centre. It took about 30 minutes then we took the yellow line up to El Alto for the best view of the city! Even better, it's only 3 bolivianos each way!

LA PAZ, BOLIVIA | Travel Food & Fun
La Paz, Bolivia is a remarkable city! The cable car system is an incredible form of public transit and the witches market is some kind of strange we had never seen. The Capital of Bolivia sits at over 12,000ft and has been recognized as one of the New7Wonder Cities.
In this video we get outside of the business of the city for a bit to hike the Valley of the Moon! We wanted to do it how the locals would so we decided to take all the local transit to get there...no touristy short cuts. Later one our way back we also went to the Cholitas Wrestling on our own as well. It saved us some extra cash :)
What made La Paz really special to us was the people. The markets are massive and there are people out working, celebrating, creating art, and so much more...and they're doing it all over. We talked to more locals here and heard they're stories more than anywhere yet.
This video is part TWO as we did A LOT while we were in the city.
Next up: Check out our snack video and if not we'll see you in UYUNI!
