MUST SEE - Lawn Hill & Adels Grove. Ep.18 Outback Road Trip Australia
The road to Adels Grove!
After our stay at Camooweal we trekked up to Adels Grove via the Riversleigh road. We only left Camooweal at midday, so after a few hours of driving it was time to set up camp again!
We pulled up, on top of this small hill approx 80km south of Adels Grove. The views were amazing! We watched the sunset and star gazed for hours that night. It was one of those magical spots that aren't on wiki camps!
The next day we packed up and continued the trek up to Adels. We stopped in at the Riversliegh Mammal fossil site to have lunch and a look around. ???? After a look around at the fossils & a full belly we hit the road again.
We arrived at Adels Grove that afternoon and checked in for 3 nights. We spent 2 days exploring Lawn Hill National Park and completed all the hikes. Our favourite spots in Lawn Hill would have to of been the Indarri waterfalls, wild dog dreaming track and the upper gorge lookout! Definitely paid to get up early and start the hikes before the days warmed up!
Adels Grove was also magical! Well worth a visit! Awesome fish and chips from the shack! They have tubes you can hire and just float around, an epic rope swing and some hidden gems worth exploring! We loved the fact they were dog friendly, so made traveling into Lawn Hill without rusty a breeze!
After our stay at Adels Grove we headed to Gregory Downs! We had never heard of Gregory Downs until a few fellow travelers mentioned we should definitely go, and it did not disappoint! We spent a total of 6 nights by the river at the free camp, as we loved it that much! The water ran down stream so we could float down a good 200m on our tubes!
The wildlife was amazing at Gregory, birds galore, wallabies just in the bushes behind our camp. The locals did show us a 2.5m fresh water croc which was cool to see! Gregory Downs was action packed with lots of things to keep us entertained! Kurts metal detector came in handy, when we helped a couple in distress! (separate post to come!)
Overall we had a blast at all (Adels, Lawn Hill & Gregory!) It was great being able to swim and relax around in these mini oasis.

Description
A high quality specification, floor standing, heavy duty metal turning lathe suitable for the keen model engineer, general maintenance and small production work shops. Featuring a precision ground, induction hardened bed, fully gear driven spindle with hardened and ground gears with a speed range of 65 - 1810rpm, selectable via the front of headstock mounted gear selection levers.
2HP single phase 240V motor is supplied on machine, taper roller spindle bearings, range of cross and longitudinal feed speeds selected on a separate gearbox, thread chasing dial, spindle foot brake, chuck guard with safety interlock, guarded leadscrew, splash guard, coolant pump system, work lamp, digital readout on a separate panel.
Supplied with a large range of standard accessories including a 150mm(6) 3 jaw self centring chuck, 200mm(8) 4 jaw independent chuck, face plate and dead centres. 5 to 3 MT reduction sleeve, steady rest, follow rest, quick change tool post with 4 tool holders. The floor stand is supplied with a swarf tray and incorporates a foot brake. Change gears and toolbox with maintenance tools.
The overall capacities are 900mm between centres and 300mm swing over the bed. A gap bed facility gives 450mm swing. Thread cutting facilities in Metric & Imperial with a reversible leadscrew, the thread chasing dial provides easy re-engagement of the leadscrew in the correct position. (note the thread chasing dial is designed for imperial only).
