Exploring Ancient Native American Grounds!
Millstone Bluff is a natural bluff in Pope County, Illinois, United States, located near the community of Glendale. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places because of its archaeological significance, Millstone Bluff is one of three National Register sites in Pope County, along with the Golconda Historic District and part of the Kincaid Mounds State Historic Site.[1]
The bluff is home to a prehistoric Native American settlement used by Mississippian cultures. The settlement site is little more than depressions sitting atop the bluff, which lies within the Shawnee National Forest. The United States Forest Service controls an interpretive trail to the site.[4] Aside from the remains of the Mississippian settlement, the bluff contains a prehistoric stone box cemetery, a rock art site, and a Late Woodland stone fort.[3]
Petroglyphs at this site include two thunderbirds, pipes, axes, a spider-like creature, turkey tracks, a humanoid form, and the cross and circle motif common to other petroglyph sites in southern Illinois.

American Cemetery - Rolling Tour - REAL USA Ep. 66A
This is an addendum to Episode 66: American Cemetery. On a typical video shoot we also shoot a lot of B-roll since we don't use a script and everything is pretty much as it happens at the moment. This means we end up with a lot of extra footage that is often good, but would make the primary video too long. So this time instead of making Episode 66 a multi-part video as such, we are including a second video of the actual driving tour through the Highlandview Cemetery with no narration. This is the cemetery EXACTLY as we saw it for the first time. So this is bonus video for those who enjoyed Episode 66 of The REAL United States, or those that would like the tour without all the explanations.

The Most Haunted Town in America! Alton, Illinois
Spooks call this place home, and they have the potential of appearing at any time, to any person, at any location. It is said that limestone, a building material used in many Alton dwellings because of its supply nearby, holds psychic energy. The Illini Indians once dominated this place, along with the nearby convergence of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers. All this makes for a great ghostly paradise!
May Day 2011 : Scattering the ashes of Clarence Kailin, veteran of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade
Dogstar7 interviews the family of Clarence Kailin, veteran of the International Abraham Lincoln Brigade Spanish Civil War, on the 125th Anniversary of Haymarket, Rededication of the Martyrs Memorial, Dissenter's Row Forest Home Cemetery, Forest Park, Illinois.
Unrepentant Red: Clarence Kailin looks back on a lifetime of fighting the good fight. Isthmus / Esty Dinur on Monday 10/26/2009
Clarence Kailin died Sunday, October 25, at the age of 95. The Madisonian was a lifelong socialist, union supporter and activist for peace and social justice. He was also one of the last surviving veterans of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade, a group of volunteers from the United States who fought with the International Brigades against fascist forces in the Spanish Civil War in the late '30s. The Madison Veterans for Peace chapter is named for Kailin, and he was instrumental in the placing of a memorial to Wisconsin veterans of the Brigade in James Madison Park.
Abraham Lincoln Brigade
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
American volunteers began organizing and arriving in Spain in 1936. Centered in the town of Figueres, near the border with France, the brigade was organized in 1937 and trained by Robert Hale Merriman. The Lincolns suffered from poor training and inept leaders, including both Merriman and Law, who were selected for command primarily for political reasons. The battalion only had one capable commander, Steve Nelson, who took command too late to turn it into a truly effective combat unit.
Subversive Activities Control Board (SACB)
The SACB was empowered to order the registration of organizations that it found to be Communist fronts, Communist action groups or Communist infiltrated groups. In carrying out this mandate, the SACB was a leader in the U.S. government's response to the Red Scare. The SACB's proceedings were thorough and methodical. Hundreds of witnesses testified and were cross-examined by defense lawyers. The decisions and findings of the SACB were subject to judicial review.
McCarran Internal Security Act
It required the registration of Communist organizations with the United States Attorney General and established the Subversive Activities Control Board to investigate persons suspected of engaging in subversive activities or otherwise promoting the establishment of a totalitarian dictatorship, fascist or communist. Members of these groups could not become citizens, and in some cases, were prevented from entering or leaving the country. Citizen-members could be denaturalized in five years.
Part of it was written by congressman Richard Nixon, who had recently been on the HUAC.

These ancient American relics remain unexplained.
A centuries-old stone wall, stretching for miles; enormous pictures scratched into the ground of a desert; rocks arranged in a circle. You know what these landmarks are, right?
Guess again. Instead of the Great Wall of China or Stonehenge, these are all ancient American ruins and landmarks. The United States is a relative newcomer to the world stage, but there have been people long living on this continent, and they’ve left traces of their presence just as mysterious as those found in other countries.

12. Cash in a Bag
In August 2011, Wayne Sabaj, a 51-year-old unemployed carpenter from Illinois, was picking broccoli in his backyard garden when he found $150,000 stashed in a nylon bag. He reported the discovery to the police with the understanding that if the money was not claimed by anyone else by the end of 2012, it would be his. Would you have done the same?
11. Human Remains
In 2011, Don Selby in Salt Lake City, Utah was working with his crew in a homeowner’s yard. Some reports say they were digging out a water main while other reports suggest they were digging up a pond. Either way, they made a discovery – human bones. Frightened by the unexpected find, he called the police.
10. Bronze Age Headstone
When amateur historian Stephen Davis from England began researching the history of his house, he came across a reference to an ancient stone called the Horestone near Stroud, which had been lost for 350 years! Eventually, he began swapping notes with a local historian named Claire Forbes and eventually decided to go on a hunt for it.
9. Loaded Machine
Earlier this year, a man from northeast Calgary, Canada made a strange discovery in his backyard. Between his garage and the fence, he found a plastic bag containing a pillowcase. This is always a bad sign.
8. 1700s Cemetery
Some people say that New Orleans is built over the and it seems that way, with its plethora of cemeteries. When Vincent Marcello from New Orleans, Louisiana decided to dig a plot in his backyard for a swimming pool, he ended up discovering a historic cemetery dating back to the 1700s.
7. A Hollywood Actress
In 1996, 47-year-old Canadian-born actress Margot Kidder, the spunky original Lois Lane in the “Superman” movies, was found in someone's backyard in Glendale, California. The actress, who was battling health and financial problems at that time, had been missing for three days before she was found. She was supposed to have flown to Arizona from Los Angeles to teach a class.
6. Church Bells
In 2013, a man from the Czech Republic was digging up his backyard to install some pipes when he stumbled across some unusual metal objects. Just as a side note, always call the city before you start digging deep in your backyard!
5. Mastodon Bones
In 2012, two boys named Eric and Andrew from Detroit, Michigan were building a dam in the creek that flows through their backyard when Eric saw a strange-looking rock sticking up from the ground. Eric thought it was a rock but his cousin, Andrew, immediately recognized it as an animal bone.
4. Meteorites
The chances of you finding a piece of meteorite in your backyard is pretty small, let alone a meteorite hitting your house six times in a row. But that is exactly what happened to Radivoke Lajic, a Serbian man living in a little village in northern Bosnia. It looks like the man´s property, for some reason, attracts space rocks!
2. Whale Fossil
In 1978, 17-year-old Gary Johnson from Palos Verde, California noticed a large rock sticking out of a hill between his house and a neighbor’s. It appeared to have a bone pattern. Thinking it could be an important find, Johnson called in an expert to evaluate it. I don’t know what kind of expert he was but anyway, he said it had no value.
1. A Cheetah
In 2008, nine-year-old Toby from Hamerton, in the U.K. ran to his mother shouting that there was a cheetah in the garden. His mother dismissed his claims as childhood excitement. Clearly. I mean, its the UK. That is, until Julie-Ann Taylor looked out of the kitchen window. To her astonishment, she realized her son wasn’t joking.

The forgotten graves of Robin Hood Cemetery
A site survey. Robin Hood Cemetery is located in Solihull, West Midlands, England, United Kingdom. Founded in 1917 AD it covers 45 Acres and contains some remnants of very old Arden Oak trees. Today it is the local municipal burial ground for the surrounding area. Most of the graves are well maintained, however there are a few which have long since been forgotten and have not seen any mourners by their side for decades.
This upload is to serve the forgotten graves of Robin Hood Cemetery, for the sake of posterity, for very soon they will be removed and the memories of the people who lie beneath will be forgotten forever. For the sake of the forgotten dead, this upload is their very last memorial for future generations to remember that these were once people too.
