Pasensyahan Friends Goes to Japan - S01E03 - Hirosaki
Taking the Shinkansen from Tokyo, we went to Aomori Prefecture. In this episode, we are going to explore Hirosaki. Located South West of the Aomori Prefecture, Hirosaki is considered to be the one of the best Cherry Blossom Spots in North of Japan. Sakura usually blooms in late April in this part of the country. Developed as a castle town, Hirosaki, is also considered as the largest producer of apples in all of Japan. We tried Fuji Apple in Japan and had the best sushi place in Aomori!

Hirosaki City is located to southwest of Aormori Cty. It's about one hour by car.
It used to be a capital of the region.A lot of old buildings both Japanese and western style buildings still remain. It is beautiful city rich in culture and history.

Hitome Senbonzakura translates to 1,000 Sakura trees at a glance. This amazing scene is located south of Sendai, about 30 minutes by train, in Ogawara town. The Sakura trees line the banks of the Shiroishi river.

青森県の弘前公園の中にある「ソメイヨシノ」は明治15年（1882年）に旧津軽藩士・菊池楯衛によって植えられたソメイヨシノ1,000本の内の1本だと云われています。一般的には60〜80年が寿命とされるソメイヨシノが現在まで現存するのはりんご栽培で培った選定・管理の技術があったから。天空に向かって大きく広げた枝一杯に咲き誇る桜。130年以上の歳月を支え続けてきた幹。明治から令和へ、激動の歴史を紡いできた古木名木の姿を8K高精細映像でお楽しみ下さい。また、弘前公園のソメイヨシノは「日本最古のソメイヨシノ」とされてきましたが、2019年3月に福島県の「開成山公園の桜」が明治11年植樹であることが発表されています。

It's opening night, and the Hirosaki Players theater troupe has come all the way from Aomori, Japan, for a one-night-only New York performance. With only 30 minutes left before curtain, Kentaro, the aging star of the play, is nowhere to be found. Though his memory is failing, Kentaro refuses to accept that he must have his lines fed to him through an earpiece. Instead, he plots to pare down the lines in the final scene, but meets fierce opposition from the playwright, Tsubasa, who is also Kentaro's son.
A struggle ensues between Kentaro, fighting for his pride as an actor, and Tsubasa, striving to have his work recognized by the world. After a bitter tug-of-war, the performance finally begins. But the feud between father and son comes to a head during the last scene of the play, when Tsubasa plays a little trick on his father to show him who's boss...with disastrous results.
