Amazing #Nagasaki...Japan Travel Vlog Part-1 (#Malayalam)
Hi Friends Welcome to My Channel, Dreams of Backpackers

Nagasaki is the capital and the largest city of Nagasaki Prefecture on the island of Kyushu in Japan. It became a centre of colonial Portuguese and Dutch influence in the 16th through 19th centuries and the Hidden Christian Sites in the Nagasaki Region have been recognized and included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Part of Nagasaki was home to a major Imperial Japanese Navy base during the First Sino-Japanese War and Russo-Japanese War.
During World War II, the American atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki made Nagasaki the second and, to date, last city in the world to experience a nuclear attack (at 11:02 a.m., August 9, 1945 JST.
#Nagasaki was a small fishing village set in a secluded harbor and had little historical significance until contact with Portuguese explorers in 1543. An early visitor was Fernão Mendes Pinto, who came from Sagres on a Portuguese ship which landed nearby in Tanegashima.
Soon after, Portuguese ships started sailing to Japan as regular trade freighters, thus increasing the contact and trade relations between Japan and the rest of the world, and particularly with mainland China, with whom Japan had previously severed its commercial and political ties, mainly due to a number of incidents involving Wokou piracy in the South China Sea, with the Portuguese now serving as intermediaries between the two Asian countries.
For 12 months prior to the nuclear attack, Nagasaki had experienced five small-scale air attacks by an aggregate of 136 U.S. planes which dropped a total of 270 tons of high explosive, 53 tons of incendiary, and 20 tons of fragmentation bombs. Of these, a raid of August 1, 1945, was most effective, with a few of the bombs hitting the shipyards and dock areas in the southwest portion of the city, several hitting the Mitsubishi Steel and Arms Works, and six bombs landing at the Nagasaki Medical School and Hospital, with three direct hits on buildings there. While the damage from these few bombs was relatively small, it created considerable concern in Nagasaki and a number of people, principally school children, were evacuated to rural areas for safety, thus reducing the population in the city at the time of the atomic attack.

Heavy bomber
Heavy bombers are bomber aircraft with the greatest bomb load carrying capacity and longest range of their time. They have also typically been among the largest size aircraft in contemporary military or civil service. Delivery of the largest possible amount of air-to-ground weaponry over long distances to strike enemy targets is the heavy bomber's mission.
The type was first developed in World War I but came to prominence during World War II, when advancements in powerplants and aircraft design enabled four-engined bombers to attack industrial targets in Germany and Japan. Availability of such large, long range aircraft in mass-produced quantity also allowed methodologies of strategic bombing to be developed and employed during the 1940s. Parallel mid-war developments as well enabled the much smaller typical fighter aircraft to carry an increased 2,000-pound bomb load, and fighter-bombers were taking over from light and medium bombers in the tactical bombing role. In August 1945, the U.S. B-29 heavy bombers delivered two atomic bombs against enemy targets.

SRF-JRMC: Linchpin of the Pacific (English Version)
The U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center, or SRF-JRMC, at Yokosuka with its detachment at Sasebo, is the linchpin of American Naval operations in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. Their mission is to keep the 7th Fleet well maintained, and ready to go into harm’s way. Without American civilian and military personnel, teamed with Japanese men and women at Yokosuka and Sasebo, the Indo-Asia-Pacific region would not have the stability it has now.

Japan 2018 - Spring Trip to NAGASAKI

SUMMARY
=======
During the final stage of World War II, the United States detonated two nuclear weapons over the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on August 6 and 9, 1945, respectively, with the consent of the United Kingdom, as required by the Quebec Agreement. The two bombings killed 129,000–226,000 people, most of whom were civilians, and remain the only use of nuclear weapons in the history of armed conflict.
In the final year of the war, the Allies prepared for what was anticipated to be a very costly invasion of the Japanese mainland. This undertaking was preceded by a conventional and firebombing campaign that devastated 67 Japanese cities. The war in Europe had concluded when Germany signed its instrument of surrender on May 8, 1945. As the Allies turned their full attention to the Pacific theater, Japan faced the same fate. The Allies called for the unconditional surrender of the Imperial Japanese armed forces in the Potsdam Declaration on July 26, 1945—the alternative being prompt and utter destruction. Japan ignored the ultimatum and the war continued.
By August 1945, the Allies' Manhattan Project had produced two types of atomic bombs, and the 509th Composite Group of the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) was equipped with the specialized Silverplate version of the Boeing B-29 Superfortress that could deliver them from Tinian in the Mariana Islands. Orders for atomic bombs to be used on four Japanese cities were issued on July 25. On August 6, one of the modified B-29s dropped a uranium gun-type (Little Boy) bomb on Hiroshima. Three days later, on August 9, a plutonium implosion (Fat Man) bomb was dropped by another B-29 on Nagasaki. The bombs immediately devastated their targets. Over the next two to four months, the acute effects of the atomic bombings killed 90,000–146,000 people in Hiroshima and 39,000–80,000 people in Nagasaki; roughly half of the deaths in each city occurred on the first day. Large numbers of people continued to die from the effects of burns, radiation sickness, and other injuries, compounded by illness and malnutrition, for many months afterward. In both cities, most of the dead were civilians, although Hiroshima had a sizable military garrison.
On August 15—six days after the bombing of Nagasaki and the Soviet Union's declaration of war—Japan announced its surrender to the Allies. On September 2 in Tokyo Bay, the Japanese government signed the instrument of surrender, which effectively ended World War II. The effects of ...

Nagasaki (Japanese: 長崎, Long Cape) is the capital and the largest city of Nagasaki Prefecture on the island of Kyushu in Japan. It became a centre of colonial Portuguese and Dutch influence in the 16th through 19th centuries, and the Hidden Christian Sites in the Nagasaki Region have been recognized and included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Part of Nagasaki was home to a major Imperial Japanese Navy base during the First Sino-Japanese War and Russo-Japanese War.
During World War II, the American atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki made Nagasaki the second and, to date, last city in the world to experience a nuclear attack (at 11:02 a.m., August 9, 1945 'Japan Standard Time (UTC+9)').As of 1 June 2019, the city has an estimated population of 412,643 and a population density of 1,017 people per km². The total area is 405.86 km2 (156.70 sq mi).
AIDAprima Cruise Ship : Full Construction Time-lapse by MKtimelapse
AIDAprima is a cruise ship being built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) for the German cruise operator AIDA Cruises. MHI was awarded a contract to build two new generation cruise ships for AIDA Cruises in August 2011. AIDAprima is expected to embark on her maiden voyage from October 2015, sailing from the Japanese city of Yokohama to Hamburg, Germany. The cruise vessel will be the first to sail from the German port of Hamburg all year round. AIDAprima has a length of 300m, width of 37.6m and a draft of 8m. The gross tonnage of the cruise ship, which will be classified under the DNV GL class, is 124,500t.The new cruise ship will feature 1,643 staterooms of 14 different categories to accommodate up to 3,300 passengers.
The Hyperion Class AIDAprima will be the first cruise ship to use MHI's proprietary technology Mitsubishi Air Lubrication System (MALS). The system forms small air bubbles, which cover the bottom of the vessel like an air carpet, thereby reducing friction between the hull and seawater when sailing. MALS reduces carbon dioxide and fuel consumption by approximately 7%.
The ship will also be fitted with a detailed filter system, which will reduce harmful emissions such as soot particles, nitrogen oxide and sulphur oxide. The new cruise ship will feature 1,643 staterooms of 14 different categories to accommodate up to 3,300 passengers.
The luxurious Veranda staterooms vary in size, from 20m² to 2,520m², and feature walk-in closets, two bathrooms and a convertible sofa. They also have a 6m² sunning area with space for up to two sun loungers. Deck eight of the vessel will feature Lanai staterooms, which will feature a winter garden and a large veranda. The doors to the winter garden in the rooms can be opened all the way to create a 32m² of open, sunny area.
AIDAprima's 36 Panorama staterooms provide exclusive access to a new patio deck, housing the bar, a protected sunny area and a private water landscape.
The 32 suites on-board the ship will have 53m² of living space with up to 82m² of private sun deck. Each suite will feature a separate bedroom, a king size sofa bed, two bathrooms and a walk-in closet.
How this video was made:
Long-term timelapse specialist MKtimelapse from Hamburg, Germany was tasked by AIDA with filming the first cinematic quality naval timelapse of a cruise ship construction. To do this, they used their proprietary timelapse cameras that can capture one 16mp frame every minute over many years and edit this material into a stunning timelapse movie.
