Street food in China is something I'm always looking to find more of! So I flew to Lanzhou, China and have been trying Chinese Muslim Hui Halal Street food non stop. Best Street Food in China I've tasted! The Chinese food is so good in Lanzhou! I've eaten street food in Bejing, street food in Shanghai, street food in Chengdu, and street food in Hong Kong, all of which has been amazing, but I have to say that the chinese street food in Lanzhou has been some of the best!
When you think of China, you probably don't think of Islam and Halal food, but that's exactly what you'll find in the Northwest. I made my way for a food trip to the dusty and bustling classic Silk Road city of Lanzhou specifically to try the unique halal food of the Hui people. This is the side of China not many people see, and I came here to have an authentic travel experience through food. I found a lot of food reminiscent of countries further west, with insane amounts of lamb and beef leaving me absolutely speechless.
Here are the addresses for the places I ate Chinese Hui Muslim Halal Street Food of in Lanzhou, China. You can show a taxi driver these addresses and he will bring you there:

CHINA: BATTLE AGAINST THE FLOODS CONTINUES UPDATE
Mandarin/Nat
China's president Jiang Zemin on Friday postponed September trips to Japan and Russia as flooding across the country continues to worsen.
China's Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan told the Japanese and Russian ambassadors the flooding was the worst since the communists came to power in 1949, and there was no end in sight.
North Eastern China is among one of the affected areas.
This is Controlling Water Village in the Northern Chinese province of Heilongjing.
Despite its name, the town is drowning - its main street is awash.
Its lush fields are a dirty brown sea and its hardy farmers are a downcast, waterlogged lot.
While hundreds of thousands of soldiers and civilians fight to keep the rain-swollen Songhua River out of the rustbelt provincial capital of Harbin, the fight to save Controlling Water Village was on Tuesday lost.
The town, home to about 500 people, succumbed to the Songhua when the river broke through a nearby dike.
Now, it's a matter of waiting.
Xiao Si is one of the few people in Controlling Water Village who owns a boat.
He helps bring what food he can to those who are stranded and transports people in emergencies.
But to most, his generosity is of little consequence.
SOUNDBITE: (Mandarin)
We just have to manage to find something to eat and we only have one meal a day.
SUPER CAPTION: Wang Min, mother of two
It's a pattern that has been repeated over and over as China fights its worst floods in decades: cities are being protected at all costs while farms have been allowed to go under.
Controlling Water Village hasn't been visited by any authorities and food and clean drinking water are scarce.
Some residents, particularly children and the elderly, are beginning to get sick from contaminated water.
SOUNDBITE: (Mandarin)
Boil water to drink? How can we make boiling water? There is no electricity here anymore and we are short of dry wood to burn.
SUPER CAPTION: Lu Zhi, resident
SOUNDBITE: (English)
We have to drink the water pumped out from the ground. We have to drink it even if we know it's poisonous. No one has come to give us even a single piece of medicine.
SUPER CAPTION: Wang Min, mother of two
The devastation is just as widespread in central China.
The Yangtze River, China's longest, has stood above the emergency stage for more than a month, weakening protective levees.
The government says more than 2-thousand people have died nationwide and millions left homeless - two-week-old figures that are certain to rise.

Wang Xing Long Kung Fu School (2017) NEW VIDEO:
-
School's website -
9 long months ago I finally got up the balls to fly out to China and start training Kung Fu after 2 years of contemplation. My two big concerns were that there were too many options and how could I be sure that someone would actually pick me up from the airport once I landed in China. Needless to say, those problems were solved by Sifu Wang.
You know those kung fu movies, where they jump, kick and do the splits, most importantly where they break a brick. That was my fantasy and driving reason to come train. Leaving home was hard, but I had a dream to do badass things and I was going to get it done.
My first month or 3 here was incredibly humbling. Winter Training…. The hardest thing I’ve done in my life. Up at 6am in the freezing cold, 8 hours of training and a serious need for more sleep. With a body that’s constantly sore body, we always trained.
We’re extremely lucky to have Sifu Wang’s training us. Not only is he a total badass but he also enjoys learning about other cultures and as such speaks English quite well.
Learning my first form was… uhhhh challenging, but once your body adapts and you learn the basics, you pick up forms much faster. Overall, I learned Tong Bei, Qi Xing Quan, Yin Shou Gun, Dao Form along with 3 Tai Chi forms and Ba Duan Jin. Thankfully the school is relatively small so sifu gave me plenty of attention allowing me to learn so many forms.
Although it takes a lot of time to train each form, the results are worth it and you can earn your Strength of Body and Discipline of Mind. We all start off with a fist form, move onto the staff – the trademark weapon of a Shaolin warrior and if you’re here long enough, Sifu will teach you a weapon form that’s unique to your body characteristics
As far as the Sanda (kickboxing) goes, I couldn’t punch my way out of a paper bag. But sure enough, hard training paid off and now I can comfortably get out of paper bags.
Let's talk food. A lot of plates, pains, and pleasures have been shared around the table. The food is tailored for Westerner’s and is the most enjoyable Chinese food that I’ve eaten, however, after 9 months I sure do miss mom’s cooking.
Power stretching. Probably the scariest and most painful part of training… The first is the worst, but then you realize that it’s not as bad as it looks.
I had an amazing opportunity to travel through China and saw some incredible sights having visited and stayed in 10 cities. I saw the famed Terracotta Army, the Shaolin Temple, and the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival to name a few things.
A big shout out to all my kung fu friends for making this possible. The comradery we built through blood, sweat, and tears will stay with me forever. All the hard training was made much more fun and doable with your support.
Think about training kung fu? What are you waiting for, Sifu’s website has everything you need to get started.
Experience training in a Kung Fu school with me and possibly decide to come out and train here yourself.

SUMMARY
=======
Tianjin ([tʰjɛ́n.tɕín] (listen)), formerly romanized as Tientsin, is a coastal metropolis in northern China and one of the nine national central cities of the People's Republic of China (PRC), with a total population of 15,469,500, and is also the world's 11th-most populous city proper. It is governed as one of the four municipalities under the direct administration of central government of the PRC and is thus under direct administration of the central government. Tianjin borders Hebei Province and Beijing Municipality, bounded to the east by the Bohai Gulf portion of the Yellow Sea. Part of the Bohai Economic Rim, it is the largest coastal city in northern China.
In terms of urban population, Tianjin is the fourth largest in China, after Shanghai, Beijing, and Guangzhou. In terms of administrative area population, Tianjin ranks fifth in Mainland China. The walled city of Tianjin was built in 1404. As a treaty port since 1860, Tianjin has been a major seaport and gateway to Beijing. During the Boxer Rebellion the city was the seat of the Tianjin Provisional Government. Under the Qing dynasty and the Republic of China, Tianjin became one of the largest cities in the region. At that time, numerous European-style buildings and mansions were constructed in concessions, many of which are well-preserved today. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Tianjin suffered a depression due to the policy of the central government and Tangshan earthquake, but recovered from 1990s. Nowadays Tianjin is a dual-core city, with its main urban area (including the old city) located along the Hai River, which connects to the Yellow and Yangtze Rivers via the Grand Canal; and Binhai, a New Area urban core located east of the old city, on the coast of the Bohai Gulf. As of the end of 2010, around 285 Fortune 500 companies have set up base in Binhai.

SUMMARY
=======
Jews and Judaism in China are predominantly composed of Sephardi Jews and their descendants. Other Jewish ethnic divisions are also represented, including Ashkenazi Jews, Mizrahi Jews and a number of converts.
The Jewish Chinese community manifests a wide range of Jewish cultural traditions, and it also encompasses the full spectrum of Jewish religious observance. Though a small minority, Chinese Jews have had an open presence in the country since the arrival of the first Jewish immigrants during the 8th century CE. Relatively isolated communities of Jews developed through the Tang and Song Dynasties (7th to 13th centuries CE) all the way through the Qing Dynasty (19th century), most notably the Kaifeng Jews (the term Chinese Jews is often used in a restricted sense in order to refer to these communities). Unlike other places, the Chinese authorities had tremendous respect for Jewish communities and they did not face significant anti-Semitism in comparison to Europe and America.
In the 19th and early 20th centuries, Jewish merchants from around the world began to trade in Chinese ports, particularly in the commercial centers of Hong Kong, which was for a time a British colony; Shanghai (the International Settlement and French Concession); and Harbin (the Trans-Siberian Railway). In the first half of the 20th century, thousands of Jewish refugees escaping from the 1917 Russian Revolution arrived in China. By the time of the establishment of the People's Republic of China in 1949, only a few Chinese Jews were known to have maintained the practice of their religion and culture though the Kaifeng synagogue survived for around seven centuries until 1860. China's Jewish communities have been ethnically diverse ranging from the Jews of Kaifeng and other places during the history of Imperial China, who, it is reported, came to be more or less totally assimilated into the majority Han Chinese populace due to widespread intermarriage. In the late 20th and early 21st centuries, however, some international Jewish groups have helped Chinese Jews rediscover their Jewish heritage and reconnect with their Jewish roots.Though Israel established diplomatic relations with China in 1992, the ties between the Chinese and Jewish peoples remain centuries old in addition to Israel and China being products of ancient civilizations dating back thousands of years. The cultural similarities between the Chinese and Jewish civilizations with both nations originating thousands of years ago have drawn the two countries closer together making the two countries natural partners on the international stage.
Jews remain a small minority in China, but unlike Jewish communities in many other parts of the world, Jews have historically lived in China without any instances of antisemitism from the Han majority populace contributing to mutual respect and admiration between the two peoples. Modern Han Chinese have developed a favorable view of Jews, admiring them for their contributions to humanity, their ability to survive, the sharing of Chinese values such as family, frugality, hard work and education, and being products of ancient civilizations have been an impetus towards the long and enduring friendship between the Chinese and Jewish peoples. With the intrinsic affinity that the Chinese people feel for the Jews, relations between the two communities have been mutually close, harmonious and friendly, due to shared common cultural similarities between the two peoples which has resulted in Jews enjoying equal rights and coexisting peacefully alongside the mainstream Han Chinese populace with instances of Jews assimilating into the Han Chinese community through intermarriage. Shared affinities and similar cultural commonalities has not only been an impetus for the close bonds between China and Israel but has also created a symbol of brotherhood between the two communities.
The CCP Government's Suppression and Persecution of Christians in House Churches: Ironclad Proof
Since the atheist Chinese Communist Party has come to power, it has continued to madly resist God and be an enemy to Him. They have not only branded Christianity and Catholicism as cults, but they have defined the Bible as cult literature, confiscating and destroying countless copies. They also wantonly detain Christians, which has led to the arrests and imprisonment of over a million believers. Among them, over 10,000 people at the least have been persecuted to the point of death. In 1991, Christ of the last days, Almighty God, appeared and began to work in China, expressing all truths to purify and save mankind. The CCP is terrified of people hearing the voice of God and turning toward Him, so in order to eradicate God's work of the last days and protect their dictatorship, they have covertly drawn up and issued many top secret documents for the suppression of Christians, and have been madly arresting and persecuting Christians in every corner of the country. They have also fabricated numerous lies and false cases to frame and discredit The Church of Almighty God. They have inflicted brutal torture, brainwashing, and monitoring and surveillance on Christians, and even those who are related to them have been involved. They have beaten many Christians to death without any responsibility or repercussions. All of this has been a delusional attempt to eradicate Christians and make China a region without God. In this video, we present a multitude of facts to uncover the many tactics employed by the CCP to persecute Christians, exposing the heinous sin of their cruel suppression and oppression of Christians in house churches, as well as the Chinese government's demonic essence.
Eastern Lightning, The Church of Almighty God was created because of the appearance and work of Almighty God, the second coming of the Lord Jesus, Christ of the last days. It is made up of all those who accept Almighty God's work in the last days and are conquered and saved by His words. It was entirely founded by Almighty God personally and is led by Him as the Shepherd. It was definitely not created by a person. Christ is the truth, the way, and the life. God's sheep hear God's voice. As long as you read the words of Almighty God, you will see God has appeared.

Patriotism survey -- the CCP is the least patriotic
Follow us on TWITTER:
Like us on FACEBOOK:
On their October 1 show, What is patriotism, the CCP
mouthpiece CCTV, surveyed public opinion of patriotism.
What is patriotism and its relevant behavior?
The followings are some of the voices.
For days, CCTV reporters interviewed passersby for the new
show, What is patriotism to air during the October 1 holiday.
An elementary student in Nanjing replied, Patriotism
is to assist elderly women in crossing the street.
A resident of Xining city, Qinghai, answered,
Rumors are unpatriotic.
A Beijing citizen said, Corruption is an unpatriotic
behavior.
Xinhua, the state media, reported that recently people toast
to each other by saying, Wish you more patriotism.
Xiao Han, a Chinese writer, questioned on his blog,
Does that mean the more you drink,
the more patriotic you'll become?
Some bloggers also commented that it is ironic that Xinhua
actually claimed this obvious joke of a phrase
to be an expression of patriotism.
Commentator Sema Tai indicates that patriotism
is an innate instinct and emotion.
The interview itself is a joke.
It reflects the Communist regime is losing its control
of the people.
Sema Tai, commentator:
People are skeptical of the Communist Party.
They despise the regime.
The regime wants to know if the people
are no longer patriotic.
It proves the failure of the brainwashing propaganda
of the CCP.
The influential real estate tycoon Ren Zhiqiang indicates that
CCTV had interviewed him at the end of September.
At that time, he predicted that the interview
would not be aired.
When asked What is patriotism, he replied, Criticize every
wrongdoing of the government so that
people live a better life and enjoy more rights and freedom.
He also said, It is the most unpatriotic act to allow
government to indulge in abuse of power.
As expected, his interview was not aired on the CCTV show.
A Harbin native, Zhao Jingzhou, indicates CCTV
was being selective with the interviews.
The purpose was to turn the show into praise of the CCP.
Zhao Jingzhou, a Harbin citizen:
I love my country, but not the Communist Party.
It is to confuse the public.
We are the people to the CCP, but we will be the citizens
when we are strong.
The CCP is no longer sustainable.
It is trying to force us to say we love it.
China expert Zhang Tianliang believes patriotism
is to care for the land, the people and the culture.
The CCP is precisely the unpatriotic one and the traitor.
[Zhang Tianliang, China expert]: The Communist Party
is the most unpatriotic one.
They betrayed the Chinese by selling many territories,
including Mongolia during the Mao era and the ones sold
by Jiang Zemin via treaty.
They destroy the culture, and they devastated
so many Chinese.
Chinese historian Xin Haonian once said, Be a Chinese,
not a Marxism descendent.
Sema Tai believes the quit the CCP activities
have demonstrated awareness of the distinction
between the country and the party in China.
The genuine patriotism is to make a clean cut from the CCP
and to fight for freedom and democracy.
According to the Epoch Times statistics, 147 million Chinese
have withdrawn from the Communist Party
and its associated organizations.

My name is Trevor James and I'm a hungry traveler and Mandarin learner that's currently living in Chengdu, Sichuan, China, eating up as much delicious Chinese street food as I can.
I enjoy tasting and documenting as many dishes as I can and I'm going to make videos for YOU along the way! Over the next few years, I'm going to travel around the world and document as much food as I can for you! I love delicious street food! This channel will show you real Chinese street food and real local food, not that stuff they serve in the Buzzfeed challenge.
Thanks for watching, and please feel free to leave a comment, suggestion, or critique in the comments below!
Please make sure to subscribe, it's the best way to keep my videos in your feed, and give me a thumbs up too if you liked this food video, thanks, I appreciate it! You could also share the video too if you liked it, that would be awesome. Thanks a lot!
