The Dover Pumping Engine at Forncett Industrial Steam Museum
Built by Worthington Simpson in 1937, this engine was used to pump water at the Dover water works, at the rate of 96,000 gallons per hour. The dismantling of the engine started in 1977 and took over 30 lorry loads to transport to Norfolk. It then took over 20 years to restore!
This magnificent engine has been rebuilt in a fine new engine house and can be seen running on Steam Days.
Steam Days take place on the first Sunday of each month from May to November. The museum is well worth a visit as a day out with a difference.

++++++This is my 500th upload to Youtube++++++++++++++
I hope you have enjoyed viewing my efforts over the years.
The Strumpshaw Steam Museum can be found tucked away in the countryside just off the A47 in Norfolk,this museum has some very rare items to see so is well worth a visit.
If your into Traction engines,the Garrett Lou Linda is a must,only six of these were made this being the only one left.
For the train buff they have a rare Tri-ang Minic garden railway train,still being used to give children rides along a short track of 10 1/4 inch gauge.The other very interesting railway items is the Cagney,built in the USA between 1890-1920,six of these loco came to the UK for a toy exhibition in London.This loco was used on the Brooks railway in Kent.She is a 15 inch gauge loco and at some time been used on the R.H.D.R.
I could have spent more time looking,taking photo's of the many items on display or just listening to the music from the Christie Cinema organ,but we had three more railways to find and ride that day, we will come back one day.

Iceni Brass Monkey Run 2010
The snow and ice had finally gone from the Norfolk roads, so we took the Astrovan to Swaffham to see the Iceni C.A.R. Club annual Brass Monkey run as they stop for fuel and refreshments before continuing to Wells on the North coast. The roads were still very dirty from the snow gritting, so our van didn't stay white for long. Not ideal weather for displaying classic vehicles, but it is nice to go out for a drive.
WYMONDHAM
Wymondham
Throughout the autumn of 2018 a group of students from the UEA made a series of films about Wymondham. They were all studying on a Broadcast Journalism module and wanted to portray a taste of life in the town. From the community bookshop to the Abbey to the choir, the students show a lot of warmth for the places they got to know whilst out there filming!
