Sandgropers meeting 2015

Also there is a steam crane passing with its load and a view of the Australind passenger train from Perth nearing Bunbury hauled by an X class diesel. On 27/10/1985, we visited two more West Australian locations of railway interest:

(1) Forest Park Railway - South West Model Engineer's Association (W.A.) Inc., Bunbury, Western Australia.

(2) Boyanup Museum - rail and transport museum, Boyanup, West Australia. This museum, at the time, was the home for the narrow-gauge, steam locomotive, G 233 Leschenault Lady. The Leschenault Lady is the oldest Australian built steam locomotive still in serviceable condition. It was built in1898 by James Martin & Company, Gawler, South Australia.

This brief video clip captured snippets of live steam model train activity and some shots of the Leschenault Lady at home in the museum.

Sandgropers 2019

This video was taken as part of the annual Sandgropers miniature railway meet up here in W.A. where various miniature railway clubs from around W.A. are invited to all meet up at either the South West Model Engineers in Bunbury ( the Forrest Park mini rail ) , or , at the Northern Districts Model Engineers in Balcatta W.A. ( N.D.M.E.S. ) for the annual get-together for model engineers ; This year it was held at the N.D.M.E.S. tracksite in which you'll get to see how their tracksite looks & anyone wishing to visit there should view their website via to find out more about the club & the trains.

Pemberton Tram 2013

The Pemberton Tram winds it's way thru Marri, Jarrah and Karri Forest, in a 1 3/4 hour return journey, crossing a number of trestle bridges and stopping at the Cascades. We hopped on board early in March 2013. 4wdozdvd.com

C38 test roll at sandgropers 2013

In this video - I had my 3 1/2 N.S.W. C38 on display over the Sandgropers weekend at Forrest Park in Bunbury , after being on display - I decided to push my loco around a part of their raised track just to see how it might look when the restoration is completed & then all steamed up ; more pics can be found in my website ( Kev's Workshop ) in my Current Projects page.
