EXPLORING ST. GEORGE, BERMUDA | TOBACCO BAY BEACH | TRAVEL VLOG
We explored the city of St. George, Bermuda. It is about 45-60 minutes via bus to get there from Hamilton. The vibe of the city is a little more chill in comparison with Hamilton. It was a great place for people of all ages. The food was really good at Wahoo's which was recommended to us by our AirBnb host. Then we went to Tobacco Bay beach which was much smaller than Horse Shoe Beach, but was still a great time. After that, we checked out Fort St. Catherines which is this museum that was previously an artillery defense fort overseeing the protection of Bermuda. We were not able to do the tour because it was past 6pm when we finally made it there, but the cost of the tour is $7 for adults and they last about 20 minutes.

Scenic Bermuda Ferry Ride Dockyard to St. George's (Orange Route)
On day 2 of our 3 day stay in Bermuda via cruise ship, we took a scenic Bermuda ferry ride from the Royal Naval Dockyard in King's Wharf to St. George's. The ferry service was by Sea Express and it was the Orange Route. There were nice views the of the King's Wharf cruise port, plus our cruise ship the Celebrity Summit and the Norwegian Escape as well.
During the ride we saw NCL's own private St. George's ferry right behind us. As we sailed around St. George's island we also had nice views of Fort St. Catherine, Higgs & Horseshoe islands, before reaching the St. George's Harbour. There we saw an impressive number of sailboats, some speeding quickly past each other. We then arrived at the St. George's Sea Express Ferry Terminal from which we walked to King's Square.
We will post more videos of our day in St. George's. The one we have up is our visit to Tobacco Bay Beach:
We also have a video up of the Bermuda cruise terminal at King's Wharf including getting the ferry passes here:

Fort St. Catherine, St. George's Island, Bermuda
On the way into Bermuda, passing the fort. Summer 2016
FORT POPPLE - LITTLE HEAD PARK - ST. DAVID'S ISLAND - ST. GEORGE'S PARISH - BERMUDA

Fort Hamilton Bermuda, Former British Army Base
Fort Hamilton is a former British army base, built in the 1870s to defend the Royal Naval Dockyard from possible attack by American forces.
The ramparts of this pentagonal fort offer panoramic views of the City of Hamilton and Hamilton Harbour. The moat is now one of Bermudas more unusual gardens.
Every Monday at noon, between November and March, the Bermuda Islands Pipe Band performs the Skirling Ceremony, traditional Scottish and Irish music accompanied by Highland dancers.
FORT ST. CATHERINE - ST. GEORGE'S PARISH - BERMUDA

Historic Town of St. George, Bermuda
Our walk through the historic Town of St. George, Bermuda, starts on Water Street, a popular shopping and dining area of the old town which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In King's Square we can see the Town Hall with its ducking stool. Crossing to Ordinance Island we discover a replica of the Deliverance. The pilot vessel St. David is also tied up at the island. Next we get a sight of the Spirit of St. George, a catamaran tender that takes Norwegian Cruise Line visitors between the West End Cruise Terminal and the old town. We then proceed to the State House, which was Bermuda's first legislature and dates from 1620. Our stroll takes us to the East end of Water Street and then on to the monument to Admiral Sir George Somers who is responsible for the island's settlement. Our stroll then takes us through the narrow alleys of St. George where we can see the tower of the Catholic Stella Maris Church rising up above the white washed roofs of the charming cottages. We pass the Lili Perfumery and explore more alleys before arriving at St. Peter's Anglican Church. It was established in 1612 and it is the oldest Protestant church in continuous use in the New World. The walk ends in the church yard with its blooms of bougainvillea and fragrant frangipani.
