Fort Weterill is an abandoned naval fort on the cliffs of Jamestown Rhode Island. Originally known as Fort Dumpling during the American Revolution, Fort Wetherill was used for coastal defense during World War I and World War II. The fort was abandoned by the United State Military in 1946 after it was no longer needed. In 1972, the state of Rhode Island acquired the fort and turned it into a state park.

ABANDONED: Fort Getty
Michael Liseo and his crew travel to an abandoned World War One and Two Fort named Fort Getty in Jamestown, Rhode Island. Built in 1901 the Fort was used for a military defense against enemy ships coming into Narragansett Bay. Luckily the Fort never had to open fire on an enemy ship, but the Fort still had a vital position for the cost. The Fort was disestablished in 1948 and is still standing today. We ended up traveling through underground tunnels and found a lot of history.
