Japan's Most Terrifying Bridge: Eshima Ohashi ★ ONLY in JAPAN #33
It's been nicknamed the ROLLER COASTER BRIDGE because of it's super steep slope and appearance of being a bridge to the sky.
That's the Eshima Ohashi Bridge straddling Shimane and Tottori prefecture in Japan.
Facts about the Eshima Ohashi:
★ 1,446 meters long
★ 250 meters of continupus concrete in the center (the third longest Ramen bridge in the world!)
★ 6.1% grade slope on the Shimane Prefecture side
★ 5.1% grade on the Tottori side
★ The bridge needed to be high in the center to allow large shops to pass under.
☆ From the Shimane side, you can get the optical illusion view at the end of the street by the sea.
☆ If you have a good telephoto lens, go even further to the other side of the sea for a better shot. (Map below)
The bridge has a good pedestrian footpath on both sides of the road.
Bicycles are not allowed on the footpath so stay on the main road with the car, to the left side.
There is an observation point on the top that offers sweeping views all the way to Daisen (mountain).
The closest major access point is Yonago Station and airport on the Sea of Japan. From there, take a train to Sakaiminato and rent a bicycle or grab a taxi.
Sakaiminato is also famous for Japanese anime and the main street is like a museum of monsters!
The bridge is a 20 minute ride from Sakai Minato.
Take food with you from the station.

Exploring the Japanese Countryside [Okinoshima Island] Ft. MaoMao TV & Tokidoki Traveller
We explored Okinoshima or Oki Island, which is an island north of Sakaiminato in Tottori Prefecture!
It is a group of four islands, located 50 km to the north of Shimane Prefecture in the Sea of Japan. Among four islands, some are separated from the Japanese Islands while some are connected with the Japanese Islands for hundreds of thousands of years, which makes the unique ecosystem and scenes related its geographical condition. The four islands are Dogo Island, and another three islands comprise Dozen and each island has its unique feature with cliffs connected with one another. All these are worth seeing even by ship and plane in transit on the way. Yet, the sea is stormy in winter, not suitable for sightseeing.
How to get there:
The islands can be accessed by air or sea.Travel by sea to the islands is serviced by the Oki Kisen Line. Ferries depart from Sakai-minato Port in Tottori Prefecture, and Shichirui Port in Shimane Prefecture. Both of these ports are a 40 minute bus ride from Matsue Station in Shimane Prefecture. Travel between the Dozen Islands is serviced by the Oki Dozen Islands Inter-island Ferry.
What to do there:
Yao-sugi & Chichi-sugi
There are many giant Japanese cedar trees on Dogo Island. The most well-known are the three giant Japanese cedar trees: Yao-sugi, Chichi-sugi and Kabura-sugi. In addition to these trees, there are many natural Japanese cedar forests with trees that are hundreds of years old, such as at the base of Washigamine Ridge. These trees are found in such a variety of shapes that you might not believe they are the same species.
Dankyo Waterfall
A mysterious waterfall where you can observe two waterfalls running down from two sides of a shrine on a rock cliff.
Jodogaura Shore Line
A beautiful shore line where you can see the blue sea contrasted to the rock cliff making for an awesome view.

Beyond the Bridge - 4th Year Architecture Project
My 4th-year project for architecture school was an art gallery which embedded itself into Miramar Hill, Wellington, creating a bridge. Inspired by a japanese conception of space, it makes use of a main corridor with the 'optional' spaces intersecting it. This is the walkthrough of the final digital model, presented using Fuzor.

A Day in Moriya with Ate Doris! (Watch in HD)
Moriya is located in southwestern Ibaraki Prefecture, bordering on Chiba Prefecture to the southwest. The city is surrounded by three rivers, the Kinugawa, Kokaigawa and the Tone River, one of the longest rivers in Japan. In terms of area, it is the smallest city in Ibaraki Prefecture. It is located approximately 35 kilometers from central Tokyo.
I travel whenever I get time to travel and people ask me the same question, Why do you travel or why do you waste money on travel and I normally look at their faces that what should I answer them cause anyway they will never get to understand the answer unless you do it yourself. Seeing is believing and I agree with everyone. It's education, exposure, learning, exploring, management, cultures, dealing, problem solving etc.
Life is short, so live it well! Travel, see the world, explore.
Dare to dream. Dare to be different.
Keep uploading, keep travelling.

KWDDT Japan: Walking Under Bridges in Tokyo
Kids Who Do Dangerous Things is a purposely ironic stunt show hosted by an American girl with a fake Australian accent.
Matsue Japan: A magical less visited city in Shimame.
Matsue Japan is beautiful, off the beaten path but worth the visit. Perhaps less travelled by the normal tourist; Matsue Shimane is another gem. This quiet city has so much to offer. Not only is it picturesque but it has a castle with what might be one of my favourite surrounding areas with shrines, temples, gardens lined with traditional japanese houses you will love strolling and taking photos.
I used the lakeside bus one day pass to get around and it was easy and affordable. This guide will help you plan your trip before you go!
Ferry Boat Cruises in Japan and Korea 2014
We took six ferry cruise but I only uploaded five. The Beetle ferry from Hakata Japan to Busan was left out. The order of the video is Tokyo Seoul Lake Ashi Busan and Nami island ferry back to Gapyeong. I just cycled it that way.

Crazy Bridge: 10 Craziest bridges around the world. Here is the list of 10 of the most crazy designs for the bridge. This list include the following bridges.
People may cross bridges everyday to get to work, some boring and some simply amazing, here are 10 of the most amazing bridges ever built!
5 – Rakotz Bridge - The Rakotz Bridge is located in Kromlauer Park in Germany. Built in 1860, the thin, arched bridge, was commissioned by the knight of the local town and built of stone from a nearby quarry. It is known as a Devil’s Bridge, because the people thought the bridge’s sinister looking design must have been built by Satan himself. What is unique about this bridge is that its curved span was designed to form a perfect half circle, and when viewed with its reflection in the lake, appears to form a perfect circle. Visitors can still enjoy the sight of this unique bridge, but none are allowed to cross it, for fear the span may collapse.
4 - U Bein Bridge - The U Bein Bridge, named after the mayor who built it, spans Taungthaman Lake in Myanmar. It is believed to be the longest teakwood bridge in the world. Constructed in 1850, the bridge consists of 1086 pillars that support 482 separate spans that comprise the bridge’s length. The teakwood that was used in the building of the bridge was reclaimed using wood from the old royal palace in Inwa. The bridge also has 9 passageways where the wood can be removed to let barges and large boats through. Despite its age, it is still in use by both locals and tourists today.
3 – Arch Triumph – inflatable bridge - An inflatable bridge was an unusual entrant by a Paris-based architecture group, into a French competition to design a new contemporary bridge across the river Seine in Paris. This bold, yet elegant bridge was specifically designed to differentiate itself from the other 37 bridges in Paris. And the inflatable bridge is no mere footbridge – it actually makes use of giant trampolines to shuttle pedestrians to the other side. It was also designed to be temporary, like the Eiffel Tower, which was supposed to be dismantled 20 years after the 1889 World Expo. The designers of the inflatable bridge can only hope that their bridge will last as long.
2 – Kawarau Gorge Suspension Bridge - The Kawarau Gorge suspension bridge, located in the Otago Region of New Zealand, has an interesting claim to fame – it was the first bridge to be used as a commercial bungee jumping site. The bridge was built in 1880 to provide access to the Central Otago goldfields, but now is part of the Queentown Trail, which allows pedestrians and bikers to safely cross the Kawarau River. The bridge is still used by the AJ Hackett Bungee Company for bungee jumping and is also listed as a Category I historic place by the New Zealand Historic Places Trust.
1 - Shaharah Bridge - The Shaharah Bridge, also known as the Bridge of Sighs, is a stone bridge located at the top of the 8,530 foot tall Jabal Shaharah Mountain in Yemen. It was built in the 17th century to connect the village of Shaharah with other villages in the area. It was also designed to be easily destroyed in case of attack by Turkish invaders. The bridge spans a 300 foot deep canyon, high up in the mountains, and is popular with both locals and tourists alike. It can be reached by climbing the many steps carved into the steep mountainside.
