Kichkine palace was built in 1908-1911 on the Ai-Todor cape in Gaspra, not far from Avrorina rock, on with two years later the famous Swallow nest was built. There is nothing more debated in Crimean architecture, than this Baby (it is the meaning of the word from Crimean-tatar language). It is often to be heard, that the building is properties adorned. Others consider, that there is no more original silhouette on the whole seaside and nothing could be compared with this East fairy-tale, composed by architects' flight of fantasy. The building is interesting, original and causes contradictory feelings. It is really masker - a Russian merchant, dressed in Turk, but he looks very picturesque in these clothes.
