North Opuha Track - North Opuha Conservation Area, Canterbury NZ
Getting there:
The North Opuha Conservation Area is 30 km NW of Fairlie, opposite the Fox Peak Skifield Area, South Canterbury.
Follow the Lochaber Road past Lake Opuha. Cross the North Opuha Bridge and turn left to continue down Fox Peak Skifield Road.
At the end of the road, just before the bridge leading to the skifield, is a car park.
From the carpark, walk up the road and then along the true left bank of the North Opuha River. After leaving the river a marked easement across freehold land (no hunting on easement) gives access to the upper North Opuha Conservation Area. The easement is for foot, mountain-bike or horse only.

Dansey's Pass Trailride 2010 Part 3
Final sections of Loch Lomond Intermediate Loop. The Skipper and young Zack left us slow-coaches behind and put on a tremendous show through the trickiest bits; and yes, those dusty uphills and downhills are way steeper than they look.
Part 2 to follow later (Part 3 took 8 failed attempts to upload over 5 days, using about 20gb of broadband: youtube's upload facilities are very flakey, and never resume as claimed: pity about that: had to cut out good bits of vid to finally have an upload succeed).

The Pioneer 2017 – Stage 3 from Fairlie to Lake Tekapo (NZ)
WEATHER FORCES DIVERSION ON PIONEER STAGE THREE
The day dawned wet, cold and windy this morning in Fairlie, forcing Pioneer organisers into plan B mode with the 80km stage to Lake Tekapo altered to avoid the first climb out of Fairlie and over the Albury Range.
It certainly proved a popular decision amongst the 338 riders given many of them would be out on the stage for five or more hours, with the risk of the cold and in particular the high winds atop Albury too big to allow the race to follow its intended course.
In the end the forecast of improving weather had the riders still battling the wind as they crested Burkes Pass and rode down into Tekapo, but by then the sun was out and the temperatures were warming as the rain jackets and thermals were tucked away for the ride home.
It proved to be a statement day for overall race leaders Watson and Son Manuka Honey, with James Williamson and Scott Lyttle riding away from their main contenders, putting valuable time on the Spanish Imparables team of Ibon Zugasi and Tommi Misser and Alps to Ocean team of Tim and Kris Rush (Oamaru).

Bankside. Here is your chance to take hold of a property that has been faithfully farmed for over one hundred years by the same family.
Bankside is set in Albury, approximately thirty five kilometres inland from Timaru and fifteen kilometres east of Farlie, a small town that takes care of all the day to day needs for a farming community, plus more.
Currently being farmed as a mixed cropping, sheep and beef farm and dairy support, there is also the opportunity to run an Angus stud. Over the past eight years the property has seen a real revamp, including new fencing and lane ways, a modern water scheme and installation of an Ag hub monitoring system.
Other features of note are numerous farm buildings, an implement shed, new timber cattle yards and holding pens, plus a four stand raised board shearing shed with a night store pen.
A large, five bedroom homestead set in a nicely sheltered setting awaits, plus a second, three bedroom abode that has undergone renovations. Don’t delay, call Mark and enquire today.

The Pioneer 2017 – Stage 6 from Hawea to Snow Farm (NZ)
SPANISH LEGEND LOVING HIS PIONEER EXPERIENCE
In the world of downhill mountain bike racing, indeed in the world of mountain bike racing full stop, there are few with the careers to match that of Spaniard Tomi Misser. He is a little bit of mountain biking royalty, and he is loving his time here in New Zealand riding The Pioneer Stage Mountain Bike Race.
Misser and Imparables partner Ibon Zugasti shared the overall stage win with Team Watson & Son Manuka Honey (James Williamson and Scott Lyttle) as the event completed day six with a 64km ride from Hawea to the Snow Farm high above Cardrona Valley today.
Misser is a 14-time national champion in his homeland of Spain, but these days his riding takes him further from home than ever before as he rides professionally for both the Imparables and the Orbea Bikes team, and he is loving his time in New Zealand.
