Cragside
Cragside is a country house set in the beautiful countryside of Northumberland, England near Rothbury. The house was build by Lord Armstrong. It was the first house in the world to be lit using hydroelectric power. Built into a rocky hillside above a 4 km² forest garden, and has been in the care of the National Trust since 1977. The property was eventually opened to the public in 1979.
MBC Surprise TV 2006 - Biopic about Bobby Charlton features Chevy Morgan
Robert Bobby Charlton was born into a family of soccer players on October 11, 1937, in Ashington, Northumberland, England. He began playing soccer at a young age, and became a professional soccer player for Manchester United at the age of 15. A record-breaking player, Charlton continued to hold records long after his retirement from the sport.
Flying back to England after a game in Belgrade during the 1958 European Cup semi-finals, a plane carrying the Manchester United team stopped to refuel in Munich, Germany. The snowy conditions of the day, February 6, led to an accumulation of slush on the runway, which caused trouble and caused the plane to crash into the airport's perimeter fence, slide 200 yards across a frozen field and burst into flames.
Charlton, who was aboard the plane, was spared severe injuries. While he was able to walk away from the wreckage, 22 people were killed in the crash.

Coal Mining the Modern Way: Newcastle, 1957
A silent newsreel item from 1957 about mechanised coal mining procedures at the Awaba State Coal Mine, near Newcastle in New South Wales.
The item opens with shots of miners going down into, and later leaving, the mine. We see older footage of miners underground using picks and shovels to break up the coal and load it onto carts. A pit pony takes the coal away. The newsreel contrasts this with the modern methods of cutting coal from the coalface using a machine. Two miners bore a hole in the coalface and set explosives. Coal is loaded into a truck using a mechanical loader and taken to storage bins by a locomotive. A conveyor belt takes the coal from the mine to the Crusher Shed where it is transported away by truck.
Coal Mining the Modern Way, Newcastle, NSW, 1957.

Ronnie Lambert...Northumbria! (This is my Land )
From the Tweed down to the Tees
From Cheviot Hills to the Great North Sea
Lies a realm of days gone by
Steeped in bloody war and filled with battle cry
Once came the might hand of Rome
Breached these distance shores and made this land her own
And we took four hundred years to civilize
As soon as she was gone, the work of her we despised
I can hear the vandals cry
This is my land,
Northumbria
this is My Land
Soon the Saxon would arrive
To rape and burn and pillage nothing would survive
The Viking found his way here too
Marauders came from Mercia seeking pastures new
Image young King Oswald as he knelt in prayer
Cadwalla's pagan hordes were on their way
He fought them down from Heavenfield to Hexamshire
Those Welsh invaders died that very day
I can hear young Oswald say
This is my land,
Northumbria
this is my land,
Northumbria
this is my land.
Kings have come and gone for years
And the kingdom of Northumbria has drowned in many tears
Yet her pride and spirit still prevail
In her history and her culture and her wealth of ancient tales
Her peace at last is there for all to see
Her only battle now is to attract new industry
As a tourist throng invades the North East coast
They find themselves confronted with a warm and friendly host
I can hear the Geordies boast
This is my land,
Northumbria this is my land
Northumbria.
My land My land My land
Northumbria THIS IS MY LAND.

Crane - Chickenhead.wmv
From the compilation LP Tearing Down The Barricades, Volume 1 (1990), an album brought out in connection with the Grim Humour fanzine.
Chickenhead was an early Crane live favourite that was dropped from the set when they went from a 5-piece line-up down to 4. Studio recordings featuring that classic 5-man line-up are very rare, the only other ones I'm aware of being Inventor and the Rickenbacker Power cassette (these are also on YouTube).
Recording date unknown, probably 1989.
Personnel:
Roy Fox - Vocals
Steven Malley - Guitar
Nicky Carter - Guitar
Rob Turnbull - Bass
