Frances Fleet Half Day Fishing Trip, Rhode Island, July 11, 2014 (GoPro)
A half day trip Corey and I took on the Frances Fleet out of Galilee last year. We caught 5 or 6 nice sea bass and a scup for the table.
Fishing- *GALILEE- Rhode Island
Part of our family aboard the Francis Fleet, out of Galille, Rhode Island:
This is our family 'fishing excursion'. Tony, Anthony, JR, Elena, and me, Synoptic12 (Tommy) tattoo right arm, 'for inquiring minds. Alba-Sue was on vacation. We move past the breakers, heading out to sea. There was some slight chop on the water. You can notice the fisherman 'slicing' the fish. JR, 'black hat', was not shy from handling the fish, and mangling them! An enjoyable trip.
Tony-Business- Naples, FL
Elena-Flight Attendant (Cannot divulge airline)
Anthony- Two tours in Irag (Sgt.) 'Survived', by the will of Yahweh
JR- Still searching
Synoptic12- Member of the Assembly of Yahweh
*Footage was originally taken from a camcorder (remember those), transferred to VHS, then burning to DVD, and copying the Video TS_ files to PC, finally editing, and transferring files to Windows Live Movie Maker. We hope that some fishermen, as others, may enjoy the scenery, and the beauty of the sea.

Rhode Island Remote Spot Getting back to the boat
Tidal changes during island Remote Spot trips make for challenging anchoring situations. Having a young child with you ups the ante a bit...This video demonstrates some of the issues we have to deal with while Remote Spotting - waves, wind, rising water levels, getting back to our boat with all our gear, etc.
Whale watching - Rhode Island
Great White Shark off the center wall Point Judith, Rhode Island
heading out of the west gap on the way to the island i saw this white shark jumping just about 300 yards off the west gap (center wall side) in about 30' of water. while i was watching i tossed in a Deadly Dick and hooked up with a 33 Striper so i'm guessing it was feeding on stripers. RI Ice Fishing Report RI Cod Fishing Report Fishing Report Block Island RI Cod
RI ice fishing season is well underway. RI area ponds have up to 8 inches of ice. Ice fishermen are reporting bass, pickerel and yellow perch. Stump Pond, Olney Pond and Warden's Pond have been productive.
The Block Island cod bite has been good all year, continues to produce as weather permits.
Captain Mike of the Francis Fleet reported a good day on the cod front. The morning started out slow but the weather was nice so Captain Mike made a move and it paid off. Some bigger fish in the mix with 6 fish over 15 pounds. Todays pool fish was 25 pounds. A good bunch of ling and ocean perch in the mix today. Plenty of shorts to keep anglers busy as well. High hook did go home with 5 keepers. The cod continue to accept both freshly shucked skimmers clams and jigs from passengers. We are keeping an eye on the weather for Sunday.

RI Fishing Report Fishing Report for Narragansett Bay Scup, Bass and Fluke
RI Fishing Report Saltwater and Freshwater Fishing Report for RI Father's Day Sunday June 17th 2012
Saltwater fishing has been good in Narragansett Bay with numerous scup being caught in Greenwich Bay at Oakland Beach in Warwick and Colt State Park in Bristol. RI trout fishermen are catching rainbow trout between 3 and 4 lbs at Olney Pond in Lincoln Woods State Park.
Striped bass fishing continues to be good in the Providence and Seekonk Rivers. Striper fishermen using live, dead and chunk pogies are catching bass and bluefish throughout Narragansett Bay. Striped Bass fishing on Block Island is producing some bass weighing more than 50 pounds but bluefish are plentiful and are often beating the bass to the hook.
Fluke fishing is improving along the south coast and in lower Narragansett Bay.
