Frankfort Cemetery VR Walk-through
In a joint community effort between Kentucky State University, the National Soil Survey Center, the National Resources Conservation Service, and the city of Frankfort, Kentucky, a team of technicians conducted ground-penetrating radar (GPR) and Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) surveys to identify the locations of unmarked burial sites in the Frankfort Cemetery. The project is an ongoing mission dedicated to establishing the cultural significance of local burial places–many of which are suffering from a lack or loss of accurate historical records. The team identified a relatively high number of unmarked burials in their test site, a region of about 30,000 square feet that was historically reserved for those of lower social rank or economic circumstances. The team hopes the use of GPR and LiDAR can be a model for future non-invasive and cost effective solutions to help better define historically significant burial sites.

Frankfort NY Christmas
I like Frankfort. They like to do up their Main St. There are some spectacular homes around the surrounding township. The Masonic Home puts up a wonderland every Christmas season. It sits on the boundry of Herkimer and Oneida Counties.
There are two mighty hills there. One is the infamous Higby Hill. I don't know if that is its actual name. I have seen it labeled Coop Hill. The other is Dutch Hill. You drive along it on 5s to Utica. I went on the south side, up Ferguson Creek and on top of it. Both Hills are Extremely dangerous when slippery. I almost wiped out on Higby. Frankfort also has a gorge and below that is Joslin Hill. Oh and it's all part of the Mohawk Valley

Below is John Fairman's side of the story. I feel both sides should have their say. I do not support or endorse any party in these allegations whether from John Fairman or the Justice Village Board.

Re: Response Letter
Trustee John Fairman
Dear Mayor Wasowicz:
The purpose of this letter is to respectfully request a retraction of the inappropriate and misleading comments in Resolution Number 2010-05 passed by the Justice Village Board last night. Furthermore, I would ask that this letter hereto, in full be read into the record by the Village Clerk at the next regularly scheduled board meeting on Monday, April 26, 2010 at 7:30 P.M.
First, the reason for my resignation was based solely on the fact that my family and I have already moved to the south suburbs to be closer to my law office, for which we have been in real estate contract negotiations since the early part of September of last year.
Second, my reason for refusing to meet with attorney Michael Del Galdo was due more to the fact that while qualified I strongly disagreed with the hiring of Michael Del Galdo to represent the Village of Justice because of his close connections to Trustee Kinga Bartoszek her fiancé Sebastian, and to the Village of Berwyn and Cicero. As you may recall I was the Trustee charged with helping the Village of Justice hire a new Village Attorney and never at any time received and or reviewed attorney Michael Del Galdos resume. However, after being introduced to Mr. Del Galdo for the first time by Trustee Bartoszeks fiancé Sebastian and explaining to him that as the Trustee in charge of finding a new Village Attorney that I intended to ensure we had a fair and equitable process; you decided to appoint Mr. Del Galdo by way of an emergency board meeting (for which I was absent by my choice) after a phone call that you informed myself, Trustee George Pastorino, Michael Murray and Hearing Officer Tom Garrette that you received from Speaker of the House Michael Madigan requesting that the Village of Justice hire Michael Del Galdo.
Specifically, regarding the false allegations made in last nights resolution, I never at any time whatsoever requested any person to speak to nor did I directly or indirectly speak to any police officer about improperly dismissing any possession of cannabis charge. My comments to you immediately after one of my 500+ condominium association neighbors was found not guilty in a administrative hearing remain the same; one of my neighbors who was charged with a village ordinance violation for possession of cannabis inquired of me as an local elected official and criminal law attorney about what would be the result of a guilty plea to a Village Ordinance possession of cannabis charge.
In state court first time small possession of cannabis drug offenders generally speaking either receive Drug School or Community Service in lui of prosecution. Not knowing what we did as a Village with first time possession of cannabis charges I called the Village Hearing Officer and inquired about whether community service was offered and was told no that generally speaking they were fine only offenses. Based on this information I personally informed my neighbor that although community service was not offered, pleading guilty to a Village Ordinance Violation would not provide him with any state criminal record. Furthermore, I informed him that the officer who arrested him was in my opinion the best police officer in the Village of Justice currently has.
As stated in my March 25, 2010 letter, any member of the Village Board, including the Village Board President, not only has the right but obligation to inquire into a Village hearing by our Village Hearing Officer. We on the Village Board enact ordinances, and expect also that the sprit of the ordinance be followed. We author the ordinances, so who better than the Village Board to communicate the requisite legislative intent.
Sincerely,
John A. Fairman

The Malcolm J. Highlights of the Wilmington presentation included an appearance by the Grillin' for Freedom volunteers who provided a picnic; the National Anthem rendered by Don Parrish; patriotic music by the Wilmington Community Band; a few words by veteran Roger Hileman and a performance by re-enactor Walt Homan, a Civil War soldier who spoke about his friend Enoch P.
