NEIS Good News Story - Frankie's Travels
ETC's NEIS (New Enterprise Incentive Scheme) program helps eligible unemployed people to start and run their own business.
Frankie's Travels is just an example of how ETC's NEIS program can help.
Frankie’s Travel, launched just five months ago by Port Macquarie local Monique Muusers, provides gourmet food, wine and brewery tours throughout greater Port Macquarie.
“I thought what place better to showcase than my own backyard, with my own stories of Port Macquarie and the local knowledge I’d developed over the years. I had the idea to start Frankie’s for over a year now and after moving back home I needed a push to get things started, so I sought help from the NEIS Program,” Monique said.
..I have learnt invaluable business basics with my Certificate III in Business through NEIS, developed my business plan and met lovely NEIS participants that I studied with – the fact we were all in this together was fantastic!”
Being a sole trader Monique said starting her own business had been a massive learning experience for her.
“You have to be fifty things all at once. Every day you get something new pop up. You just have to give it the best that you can,” she said.

We also did some 4x4 at Cloudy Bay and camped the night at Cloudy Bay camp area. Not all roads are sealed, so lots of fun from North to South, East to West.

How it started -
Founded in 2011, by company director and adventurer Sam Hilton. We Travel was born from a love for travel, passion for storytelling and a dream to share it with the world. Taking a camera and a backpack he left Australia travelling through New Zealand, US, Mexico and Bali capturing his experience and sharing it with friends. The feed back was positive and the response overwhelming. It gave him the drive to continue creating and sharing despite a lack of funding and financial hardship. Joining him were a bunch of travellers from across the globe, he's mission was to take them on a search for adventure and provide them with a unique Australian experience.
