The Old Course, St Andrews, Scotland - PerryGolf.com
The Old Course, St Andrews, Scotland - Truly it’s remarkable that the game of golf continues to revolve around the course that gave it birth over 600 years ago. One of the oldest golf courses in the world, the Old Course at St Andrews is referred to by many as the “Home of Golf.”
It’s all the more impressive when you consider that aside from a few new tees and bunkers plus an irrigation system, the world’s 3rd ranked golf course hasn’t been made over since 1764 when 22 holes were reconfigured to 18. Meanwhile the game and its players have gone from the Stone Age to the Space Age, and yet, in 2015 the Old Course at St Andrews hosted The Open Championship for the 29th time – a run that began in 1873. Clearly there is no place like the Home of Golf.
Wide double fairways, seven extensive double greens, and a multitude of intimidating bunkers are just some of the unique features you will encounter. You’ll tee off in the shadow of the R&A, with the Valley of Sin on your left, and a gallery of locals, tourists and other players looking on all around. When your name is called to the tee your knees will know it. Our best advice is to take a line 20-30 yards left of the green, play for 225-250 yards off the tee, and slow yourself down.
More. This is a moment to savor. Forever.

Places to see in ( Edinburgh - UK ) Princes Street
Places to see in ( Edinburgh - UK ) Princes Street
Princes Street is one of the major thoroughfares in central Edinburgh, Scotland, and its main shopping street. Princes Street is the southernmost street of Edinburgh's New Town, stretching around 1 mile from Lothian Road in the west to Leith Street in the east.
Princes Street is mostly closed to private cars, with public transport given priority. The street has virtually no buildings on the south side, allowing panoramic views of the Old Town, Edinburgh Castle, and the valley between. Only the east end of the street is open to all traffic. The bulk of the street is limited to trams, buses and taxis.
Princes Street was originally to have been called St Giles Street after the patron saint of Edinburgh. However, King George III rejected the name, St Giles being also the patron saint of lepers and the name of a notorious 'rookery' of slums in London. The street is named after King George's two eldest sons, the Prince George, Duke of Rothesay (later King George IV) and the Prince Frederick, Duke of York and Albany.
From the 1880s the Princes Street , with its commanding views in combination with great ease of access, became a popular street upon which to locate hotels. The railway companies created huge anchor hotels at either end: the Caledonian Hotel to the west, and North British Hotel to the east. In between were the Royal British Hotel, Old Waverley Hotel, and Mount Royal Hotel, all of which survive.
Several UK high street brands such as Boots, Scotland's largest Boots City Store, BHS, H&M, Debenhams, House of Fraser, Marks & Spencer, Topman and Topshop, hmv also Scotland's largest record store are just a few of the shops located along Princes Street. Jenners department store (now owned by House of Fraser) is an Edinburgh institution, surviving the disappearance of many other local department stores, such as Patrick Thompson's.
The Gardens contain the Ross Bandstand (an open-air theatre), a war memorial to U.S. soldiers of Scottish descent and a floral clock, together with other attractions. Two of the main Scottish art galleries, the Royal Scottish Academy and the National Gallery of Scotland, are located at the foot of The Mound and are served by Princes Street tram stop.
Princes Street's eastbound lanes are restricted to trams, buses, taxis and cyclists. Edinburgh Waverley at the East end of Princes Street is the nearest rail station. The Princes Street tram stop is an in-road island, situated just west of the Royal Scottish Academy near the Foot of the Mound. Princes Street is well-served locally by Lothian Buses. Edinburgh Bus Station is close to the east end of Princes street, at St Andrew Square.
( Edinburgh - UK ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting the city of Edinburgh . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Edinburgh - UK

Pietro Annigoni (1961)
Chelsea, London.
C/U of a portrait of Julie Andrews in costume for her role in 'My Fair Lady' by Pietro Annigoni; M/S and C/U of a portrait of Lord Moran of Manton (the Queen's Doctor). We then see Pietro working on a portrait of a woman as commentator tells us he has revived the fifteenth century technique of mixing colours that the Italian primitives used.
In Pietro's kitchen we see the artist breaking and separating eggs; he beats the egg yolks and pours the liquid into a long measuring tube. He then pours in some oil and puts the mixture in a blender to mix it. Then, taking some powdered red paint from some scales Pietro pours it on a sheet of glass to mix with some white wine. He adds some of the egg base to the paint as commentator explains the wine stops the eggs from going bad when the mixture is bottled.
C/U of Pietro's palette as he mixes some of the red paint to make a sludgy-brown colour. Various shots of him working on the portrait of the woman. Commentator talks of the benefits of painting in tempera - as the medium is called. C/U of Pietro's painting entitled 'Life', which shows a distressing crucifixion scene. M/S and C/U of his famous portrait of Queen Elizabeth II (seen in millions of Civil Service offices to this day).
Note: On file is a news cutting from the Daily Express about an exhibition of work by Pietro and his pupils, plus a brochure from the exhibition.

7 Hour Train Ride to Glasgow Scotland & Harry Potter
Hello Everyone! Welcome to my #Glasgow Vlog! From Banbury to London to Barcelona to #WroxtonCollege to Oxford to Banbury again then Glasgow Scotland to visit family! All these in a span 6 days. We had 10 days worth of travel break a.k.a. spring break and I went to visit some friends and family. It was a hectic week because Dean Baldwin suggested for us to be back before the 29th of March at 11:00 pm before #BREXIT verdict or else there might be delays and all that stuff between the UK and the EU. Therefore, I decided to go back from EU to the UK and visit my Tito Dennis and Tita Grace in Glasgow! (BUT BREXIT DID NOT HAPPEN THAT NIGHT! I was sad because I wanted to be part of a very historical event which it was somehow.) It was my first time in Scotland of course and the view is so amazing. Even though I was editing in the train and doing some papers.. I couldn't focus because I was just mesmerize with the green environment around me! It was an amazing and tiring almost 6 hours train ride to Glasgow and 7 hours train ride back to school. It was all worth it because I got to spend time with family and i felt at home! I got to relax and have fun. I didn't have to worry about where to go and what to see and must do to really get involve with the culture because my fam got my back! I did not realize that being independent is tiring. My Tito and Tita took care of me during my stay and I got to really talk to them about everything. So... Tita and Tito, I know you are watching this... I want to say THANK YOU so much for your hospitality and care and I miss you and I'll be back soon!!! My Tito picked me up, went to church, we went home, then we picked up Tita from work. The next day we went to the museum, Glasgow University where they filmed Harry Potter scenes, Cathedral, Cemetery, Science center, BBC Alba/Scotland and many more.. Also, I didn't really film much during this trip because I just really wanted to relax and spend time with my fam.
