Australian fossicking for Sapphire near inverelle area Australia
I went on an adventure to get sappires and did get some there in frazer creek, I found some good stones and glass clear ones were great, the camping at billabong blue was great no shower though,
I loved it and had a hot water bottle and 33 dooners plus a sleeping bag ad blow up mattress it was cosy as heck.
I had so much fun and next I will get more sappires in a different creek like redstone creek, we went to a place that has crystals and it was a river called stone creek it was full of crystals, was also time to get back to nature the earth and my own energy.
bonding with me.
i wished I had much longer there though.

Australian Sapphire fossicking at billabing blue, inverelle
I went on an adventure with partner at toe to inverelle we we in a camp site called billabong blue, its a old sapphire mine you can find sappire, quarts, gold and ruby here, I found a few blues and reds also alot of tiny quarts crystals, I think there quarts, but I had a great time I just want to go back there , I belong in the bush as an earth energy, I had fun in frazer creek digging but needed a heavy pick as the rocks were plentyful and in the way of the dirt, but the area itself is so nice , quiet and relaxing, I loved it.
I want to one day buy a house there and do this every day all day. it was so fun and people there are so friendly unlike in the city.

Digging for sapphires at Pretty Valley near Glen Innes, New South Wales Australia
PLEASE SUBSCRIBE!
Pretty Valley near Pinkett in the New England tablelands of New South Wales Australia has been a favourite fossicking place of ours over the years. It still produces good zircons and sapphires including many dogstooth crystals. Other minerals found there include quartz, topaz, gold, black spinel and black tourmaline.

Billabong Blue Sapphires
An unexpected trip to Inverell also allowed us the time to take in some exploring. We ended up at a place just outside Inverell called Billabong Blue Sapphires Fossicking area.
A great little place to enjoy what Inverell is known for as the Sapphire City.
We ended up with some lovely stones and will make some jewellery out of it for my wife at some point.

Yarrow Creek is a gem bearing stream near Glen Innes in the New England region.
At this place good gems have been found by following up cracks in the creek bed under the banks. There must be much more left there than we ever found.

Kings Plains Sapphire - Journey to the Mine
Discovered in 1854, the Kings Plains Sapphire deposit is an ancient dry riverbed located northeast of the town of Inverell in the Australian state of New South Wales. Our Kings Plains Sapphire is sourced from the Wilson Gems Mine, a fourth generation mine to market family operation; the principal miner, John Wilson, has been working Australian Sapphire fields for 50 years. While the Kings Plains deposit is one of the richest Sapphire fields ever mined, less than 50 percent are of a rich royal blue color and for every one ton of earth processed only 6-8 carats of finished gems are extracted. Most Sapphire crystals mined range in size from a grain of sand to the size of a pea, which typically yields small accent gems to two carat gemstones. Larger gems are rarely found.
With mined land reclaimed into lush pastures replanted with native vegetation, the Wilson Gems Mine is environmentally friendly. As gullies and eroded areas are filled-in, the reclaimed pastures are actually more productive. The Australian Department of Mineral Resources actually wants every miner in the state of New South Wales to review the excellent rehabilitation processes at the Wilson Gems Mine.

This place has been a great producer of gemstones for 10 years and there is still lots of potential. It really is my wife's favourite fossicking spot! We have been there many times with the Baptist Church Fossicking group and Minerama.
Typical of these New England gem deposits, sapphire and zircon are the most desirable finds while pyrope garnet is also plentiful, which is peculiar to Yarrow Creek and its tributaries.
