THE INCAS BUILT THESE! | Free Walking Tour Cusco | Things to do in Cusco, Peru
We finally made it to the highland of Cusco! So, what are things to do in Cusco, Peru?
Cusco, Peru is our home for the next month, and we started off our journey here with joining the Free Walking Tour Cusco, suggested by Peru Hop.
We learned a lot about Cusco, especially in terms of their expertise in stone work. And by the way, do you know that there are big parades in Plaza de Armas Cusco every Sundays? They raise the Peruvian flag, as well as the Rainbow Cusco Flag in the main square, and thousands of people, including the Peruvian Military forces, are marching around Plaza de Armas.
The highlights of this Cusco Tour is the twelve angled stone, which was part of a stone wall of an Inca palace. It is considered to be a national heritage object.
The Cusco Walking Tour is recommended, and you definitely have to do the free walking tour as part of things to do in Cusco, Peru!
Free Walking Tour - Are they really free? Are they even ethical?
And if you are visiting Cusco, here are a few travel tips that we learned from living here that would be useful for you!

Free Things to do in Cusco, Peru
I had one day to explore Cusco, Peru and very little money to do it with, so I found a ton of free things to do, like playing with llamas and alpacas, getting some incredible views, and learning about Incan history in a couple free tours.
**What's going on?**
I'm on a business trip with some friends from school. We're visiting a lot of companies and learning about business in Peru and all of Latin America. Between business visits, we're exploring and eating all the food. :)

Cusco quickly turned into one of my favorite cities. So much energy, so much to see, and so unique. I truly loved every minute of it. I was happy to find so many free things to do, but there are SO many more things to do in Cusco that I could have stayed here a full week and enjoyed the entire time.
Here are some time stamps:
0:46 - Explore Cusco on foot
1:20 - Amazing views
2:43 - Cristo Blanco
3:40 - Saqsaywaman (it's not free to go in, but free to get close)
4:47 - Free Walking Tour Cusco
5:02 - Traditional Peruvian music
5:25 - Playing Peruvian musical instruments
5:37 - Playing with llamas and alpacas
6:03 - Examining Incan walls up close
6:24 - Kusicancha ruins
7:47 - Views and free walking tour recap
8:07 - Colonial Aquaduct
8:51 - Lunch at Los Toldos Chicken (traditional Peruvian chicken, not
free, but at only $5, it's a great deal)
9:32 - Visiting San Pedro Market
10:46 - Templo de la Compania de Jesus (Church of the Society of
Jesus - not free, but at only $3 with the view over Plaza de Armas,
it's totally worth it)
11:33 - Cusco Cathedral (also not free, but I give you some
suggestions on how you can see it for free)
12:00 - JW Marriott El Convento (free tour of the convent and Incan
and Colonial ruins)
13:45 - Artesanias Asunta (cheapest place to buy souvenirs)
Thanks for watching! If you have any questions about other things to do in Cusco, feel free to ask in the comments.

ABOUT US:
We are Brady and Katyryna, vegan travel bloggers and vloggers from Northern Ontario, Canada. The thing that inspired us to travel was the challenge of finding vegan menu options around the globe. We want to break the stigma, and show our plant-based friends that it is completely possible to travel to any country and have plenty of plant-made dishes to enjoy!
We started off with just a blog, we recreated our favourite recipes with a vegan twist and shared them for the world to see. We wrote all about our travel stories, and how we managed to eat a vegan diet while on the road. Recently we started to vlog, and so far we love it!
