Legendary Road Trip from Las Vegas
00:00:18 to skip Intro
We reached Las Vegas in the late afternoon and spent some time at the Neon Museum (must-visit attraction). In the next morning we made our way to the Grand Canyon where we had spectacular views from the Skywalk. On the way back we stopped by at the Hoover Dam and then continued our journey to Las Vegas. In the evening we watch Michael Jackson: One by Cirque du Soleil at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. After a short night we left Las Vegas on the Extraterrestrial Highway, stopped at the Black Mailbox, drove until Area 51 (until the barricades) and had lunch at the alien-themed restaurant The Little A'Le'Inn. Leaving the Aliens behind, we drove through the desert until we reach our Accommodation at Death Valley. We went to the Badwater Basin, Zabriskie Point and Dante's View before driving to Palm Springs (California).

Background Information: Las Vegas, officially the City of Las Vegas and often known simply as Vegas, is the 28th-most populated city in the United States, the most populated city in the state of Nevada, and the county seat of Clark County. Hoover Dam is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, on the border between the U.S. states of Nevada and Arizona. It was constructed between 1931 and 1936 during the Great Depression and was dedicated on September 30, 1935, by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The Grand Canyon Skywalk is a horseshoe-shaped cantilever bridge with a glass walkway in Arizona near the Colorado River on the edge of a side canyon in the Grand Canyon West area of the main canyon. The United States Air Force facility commonly known as Area 51 is a highly classified remote detachment of Edwards Air Force Base, within the Nevada Test and Training Range. The top-secret Area 51 government base is near SR 375, and many travelers have reported UFO observations and other strange alien activity along this road. Such stories prompted the state to officially designate the route as the Extraterrestrial Highway in 1996. The small town of Rachel, located near the midpoint of the highway, caters to tourists, geocachers, and UFO seekers with alien-themed businesses. Although the area receives some tourism due to alleged extraterrestrial activity, SR 375 remains a lightly traveled route. On a deserted stretch of road known as the “Extraterrestrial Highway” between Alamo and Rachel, Nevada, there is a lone mailbox with the names of two recipients. A larger box is labeled with the unassuming name of “Steve Medlin”; a smaller box is simply marked “Alien. Death Valley is a desert valley located in Eastern California, in the northern Mojave Desert bordering the Great Basin Desert. It is one of the hottest places in the world at the height of summertime along with deserts in the Middle East. Rachel is over 100 miles (160 km) north of Las Vegas in the Great Basin Desert, along Nevada Highway 375 (the Extraterrestrial Highway). The tiny town receives a substantial number of visitors and tourists, catered to by a small tourist shop, a 12-room motel, and an alien-themed restaurant and bar, the Little A'Le'Inn. Badwater Basin is an endorheic basin in Death Valley National Park, Death Valley, Inyo County, California, noted as the lowest point in North America, with a depth of 282 ft (86 m) below sea level.

President Wilson Arrives in New York to Lead Fourth Liberty Loan Parade [1918]
Summary
Views of fourth Liberty Loan ceremonies in New York City and Washington, Sept. 1918. Inaugurating a national drive for the sale of liberty bonds, President Wilson, his wife Edith, and mother-in-law, Mrs. W. H. Bolling, arrive in New York on Sept. 27, 1918. At Pennsylvania Railroad Station they are greeted by crowds and joined by the President's two daughters, Margaret Wilson and Eleanor McAdoo, as they enter a touring car en route to the Waldorf-Astoria. Views of flag-lined Fifth Avenue on the following day, with flags of the twenty-two Allied nations and banners supporting liberty bonds filling the Avenue. Emile Cartier, Belgian Minister to the United States, speaks at the dedication of the Altar of Liberty, an open-air structure in Madison Square designed by Thomas Hastings in support of the Liberty Loan effort; marching soldiers and band. On the south portico of the U.S. Treasury Building in Washington, D.C., Geraldine Farrar, member of the Metropolitan Opera Company, ceremonially sells bond to Secretary of the Treasury William Gibbs McAdoo as Leo S. Rowe, Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, watches.

FREE SPEECH RIGHTS & COURT RULINGS RELATING TO STREET PREACHING
I. Open air preaching is protected by the United States Constitution:
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
II. We have the right to pass out literature, preach, and display signs on public areas
(Coates v. Cincinnati 402 U.S. 611 / Edwards v. S. Carolina, 372 U.S. 299 / Furr v. Town of Swansea, F. Supp. 1543).
III. We have the right to exercise our religion and speak in all quintessential public forums
(Frisby vs. Schultz, 487 U.S. 474 / U.S. v. Grace, 461 U.S. 171, 176).
IV. We have a “guaranteed access” to streets, parks, and other ‘traditional public forum” and mere inconvenience to the government will not outweigh our free speech interests (Hague v. C.I.O. 307 U.S. 496).
V. Our freedom of speech may not be prohibited merely because it offends some listeners (Cantwell v. Connecticut,
310 U.S. 296 / Simon & Shuster v. New York State Crime Victims Bd, 502 U.S. 105 / N.Y. Ties v. Sullivan, 376 U.S. 254).
VI. A city may not consider the listener’s reaction when permitting free speech activity (Forsyth County v. The Nationalist Movement, 505 U.S. 123).
VII. Hecklers do not have veto power over a speaker’s right of free speech but Police must control a crowd rather than arrest
the speaker in order to maintain order (Cox. v. Louisiana, 379 U.S. 536).
VIII. We have the right to be loud enough to be heard (Saia v. New York, 334 U.S. 1943).
IX. We have the right to be protected by law enforcement if the crowd is offended by what we are preaching and becomes
hostile (Hedges v.W.C.U.S.D. No. 118, et al. 9F.3d 1295).
X. Permits are not allowed to be used to restrict a speaker’s right of free expression and permits may not be used as a prior
restraint on free speech (Kunz v. New York, 340 U.S. 290).
XI. A free speech lawsuit is a Federal case and allows us to sue Policemen and guards in their official capacity and as
individuals (Freedom Restoration Act, Title 42, Section 2000aa.).

New Monument Connects Past Pioneers with Today’s Immigrants Looking for a Better Life
Top leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints participated in the unveiling of the Pioneer Children’s Memorial at This Is the Place Heritage Park on Saturday in Salt Lake City. The new landmark honors the lives of more than 650 known children who died during the 1,300-mile journey Latter-day Saints made in the mid-1800s from Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Utah.
One of the leaders present Saturday morning was President M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, who offered the dedicatory prayer for the new memorial.
“How grateful we are as Thy children to be gathered here at the base of this memorial that has been prepared to honor the little children who, in their faith and trust tried to come here, but did not make it,” President Ballard said in his dedicatory prayer. “Watch over and bless those who do come, that they will feel and know what a wonderful privilege it is to have a place like This is the Place Heritage Park. . . . We dedicate this memorial now for the building of faith of any and all who will come here to celebrate the wonderful pioneering efforts for this, the Salt Lake Valley.”
1968 White House Tour with Lady Bird Johnson - LBJ Documentary Film
Claudia Alta Lady Bird Taylor Johnson (December 22, 1912 -- July 11, 2007) was First Lady of the United States (1963--69) during the presidency of her husband Lyndon B. Johnson.
Notably well educated for her time, she proved a capable manager and a shrewd investor. After marrying LBJ in 1934, when he was a political hopeful in Austin, Texas, she used a modest inheritance to bankroll his congressional campaign, and then ran his office while he was serving in the navy. Next, she bought a radio station and then a TV station, which would soon make them millionaires. As First Lady, she broke new ground by interacting directly with Congress, employing her own press secretary, and making a solo electioneering tour.
Johnson was a lifelong advocate for beautifying the nation's cities and highways (Where flowers bloom, so does hope) and the Highway Beautification Act was informally known as Lady Bird's Bill. She was a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Congressional Gold Medal, the highest US civilian honors.
As First Lady, Johnson started a capital beautification project (Society for a More Beautiful National Capital) to improve physical conditions in Washington, D.C., for both residents and tourists by planting millions of flowers.[30] Her beliefs regarding the importance of national beautification can best be summarized in her statement that where flowers bloom, so does hope. She worked extensively with American Association of Nurserymen (AAN) executive Vice President Robert F. Lederer to protect wildflowers and the planting of them along highways. Her efforts inspired similar programs throughout the country. She became the first president's wife to advocate actively for legislation[3] when she was instrumental in promoting the Highway Beautification Act, which was nicknamed Lady Bird's Bill[5] and sought to beautify the nation's highway system by limiting billboards and by planting roadside areas. She was an advocate of the Head Start program.[3]
Johnson created the modern structure of the First Lady's office; she was the first to have a press secretary and chief of staff of her own and an outside liaison with Congress.[30] Her press secretary from 1963 to 1969 was Liz Carpenter, a fellow University of Texas alumna. Carpenter was the first professional newswoman to be press secretary to a First Lady, and she also served as Lady Bird's staff director. Johnson's tenure as First Lady marked the beginning of the hiring of employees in the East Wing to work specifically for the First Lady's projects.[26]
During the 1964 election, Johnson traveled through eight Southern states in her own train to promote the Civil Rights Act,[30] at one point giving 45 speeches over five days.[26] It was the first solo whistlestop tour of a First Lady.[25]
In 1970, Johnson published A White House Diary, her intimate, behind-the-scenes account of her husband's presidency spanning November 22, 1963, to January 20, 1969. Beginning with Kennedy's assassination, Mrs. Johnson recorded the momentous events of her times, including the Great Society's War on Poverty, the national civil rights and social protest movements, her own activism on behalf of the environment, and the Vietnam War. Johnson was acquainted with a long span of fellow First Ladies, from Eleanor Roosevelt to Laura Bush, and was protected by the United States Secret Service for 44 years, longer than anyone else in history.[33]
Nancy Reagan, Rosalynn Carter, Jimmy Carter, Laura Bush, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, (second row) Caroline Kennedy, Barbara Bush, Susan Ford Bales, (third row) Maria Shriver, and Patricia Tricia Nixon Cox attended, representing eight presidential families (excluding the Johnsons and counting George H.W. Bush's family and George W. Bush's family separately).
At 9:00 A.M. on July 15, a ceremonial cortège left the Texas State Capitol. The public was invited to line the route through downtown Austin on Congress Avenue and along the shores of Lady Bird Lake to pay their respects. The public part of the funeral procession ended in Johnson City. The family had a private burial at the Johnson family cemetery in Stonewall, where Johnson was buried next to her husband who had died 34 years earlier.[45] Unlike previous funerals for first ladies, the pallbearers during the funeral services came from members of the armed forces.[45][46]
She was the first former First Lady to die in the 21st century.
On June 7, 2008, Texas honored Johnson by renaming the state convention's Blue Star Breakfast as the 'Lady Bird Breakfast'.[47] In January 2009, St. Edward's University in Austin completed a new residence hall for upperclassmen bearing the name of Lady Bird Johnson Hall, or LBJ Hall for short.[48]

REAL ID Mark of the Beast 666 - Jack Van Impe Walking Bible
Jesus tells us in Luke 21:35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face
of the whole earth.
Jesus prophesied in Isaiah 50:6 what happened to Him before He was crucified, 700 years before
it happened.
Jesus is the Truth and the Word of God is True and these things will come to past.
I have heard people say many, many times that One of these days, I'll change my evil ways.
Today is the day, the day of salvation. He is calling you to a personal relationship with Him,
and asking you to accept Him in your heart, or re-dedicate your life to Him. This is most
important thing that you could ever do. Saying this prayer will open God's ears and bring the
Spirit of His Salvation to you.
Heavenly Father, I am a sinner that needs a savior. I ask you to forgive me of all my sins and
wash me in the blood of Jesus. I renounce my sins of the past and ask you to guide me to into
the future. I receive this forgiveness by stating that my belief is Jesus Christ is your only
begotten Son who died , shed His blood, and rose again on the third day to wash away my sins
and to reconcile mankind back to You.
Now that Jesus Christ has paid the price for my atonement, I receive it and thank you Father in
the name of Jesus, Amen.
If you were sincere in your heart, He has redeemed your soul. Now you must grow spiritually.
Please begin attending a Bible based church that is preparing souls for eternity with the Son
of Man.

I Was Poised to be the First Black Astronaut. I Never Made it to Space. | 'Almost Famous' by Op-Docs
This is the story of Ed Dwight Jr., who was invited by his country to train to be the first African-American astronaut. Back in 1963, it was hot news. But the United States never sent Dwight to space. For decades, he has maintained that he was discriminated against during his time at the Aerospace Research Pilot School, a prerequisite to NASA run by the legendary pilot Chuck Yeager.
Dwight is now a prolific artist, building memorials and creating public art honoring African-American history. His footprints cannot be found on the moon. But his fingerprints can be found on sculptures across the country.
“Almost Famous” is a special Op-Docs series of short films directed by Ben Proudfoot featuring people who nearly made history — only to fall short. These are tales of overcoming disappointment at its most epic, from an astronaut who never flew to a superstar who never was.

California Rep. Lois Capps Retiring
Lois Capps a democrat representative from California announced Wednesday that she will not seek reelection, opening up a Democratic-leaning Central Coast seat in 2016.
Without a Democratic incumbent, the seat could be a battleground for the rival parties. California’s 24th District, which includes Santa Barbara and stretches up the coast, leans Democratic. But in 2014, Capps beat her little-known Republican challenger, Chris Mitchum, by 4 percentage points.
Capps, now in her ninth full term, first ran for the seat in a special election in March 1998 to replace her husband, Walter Capps, after he died of a heart attack in October 1997. Before her time in Congress, Capps worked as a nurse and directed her county’s teenage pregnancy and parenting project.
