At 215 miles, it is the longest river entirely in England and the second-longest in the United Kingdom, after the River Severn. It flows through Oxford, Reading, Henley-on-Thames and Windsor.

Royal Windsor Racetrack - Windsor England

Windsor England is a beautiful and tranquil area, perfect for a horse racing track? Really? Yes, really. The Royal Windsor Racetrack. Last Monday, the Suzy Team (David Ingham, Ian P. Hardy and Annie Coburn) set off for a fun day at the track.
The trip via train from London center is about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Windsor (note the spectacular Windsor Castle), it's a quick 15 minute boat ride on French Brother's Cruises to the track.
Select from three levels of seating: Club Enclosure, Grandstand and Silver Ring. For the economical minded, pack a picnic basket and dine on the outdoor tables. It's fun and inexpensive. Leaves plenty of spare change for a beer or glass of wine.
A minimum bet is 2 pounds and the fun is well worth playing hookie from work.

Anglophile Zen - 40 Minute Windsor Thames Boat Trip

The day before the Royal Wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, I had some time to explore Windsor & Eton (article to come). One thing I really wanted to do was take a Thames boat cruise. I took one with French Brothers which went up the Thames and back to Windsor. It took about 40 minutes. I setup my GoPro to record the whole thing. It was a beautiful sunny English summer day. Perfection. I hope this video captures a bit of the perfection for you. Sit back, relax and enjoy the journey. I highly recommend doing this and hope this video encourages others to do so.

The Villa Windsor is a mansion located at 12 Route du Champ d'Entraînement, Paris, within the Bois de Boulogne close to Neuilly-sur-Seine. The house is owned by the city of Paris and was the Paris home of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.The Villa Windsor (originally named Chateau Le Bois) is a graceful 19th-century building of 14 rooms surrounded by a large tree-filled garden. It was built around 1860 and once owned by the Renault family but the French government sequestered the property after World War II and Charles de Gaulle occupied the house in the late 1940's.

24 Hours in Windsor // UK

Hop on a train from central London and in about an hour you can find yourself in Windsor. Most famously known as being the home to Windsor Castle, which is The Queen's weekend residence, Windsor is a bustling small town, filled with tons to do.

Check into the De Vere Beaumont Estate for a lovely hotel with 44 acres of grounds. Enjoy dinner at The Royal Windsor Pub, and wash your meal down with a delicious gin and tonic.

Spend hours wandering around Windsor Castle. And during the months of August and September enjoy the special Conquer The Tower tour where you can climb to the top of the Round Tower and get 360 views of Windsor and its surrounding areas.

Take a boat ride with the French Brothers boat company on the Thames and get a different view of the area!
