Frenchmans Cap Trek Tasmania
This video covers our March Frenchmans Cap Trek, located in Tasmania’s Southwest National Park. This is a 3-5 day trek we did in 3 days camping at Lake Vera both nights.
It is a strenuous, wet, muddy, leech-infested hike that asks big in return for its big views and magnificence you get on the second day.
PS I got asked a special question on this trek :)

Sarah Island - Macquarie Harbour
When you see the natural beauty of Macquarie Harbour, it’s hard to imagine that back in the 1820s, this was the scene of incredible misery. However, the fact that the entrance to the harbour is known as Hell’s Gates should give you some clue. Conditions at the penal settlement were so harsh that it was not uncommon for convicts to kill other inmates just so they would be executed themselves.

CAPTAINS REST | VLOG 004
Graham and myself spend 4 days exploring the West Coast of Tasmania and were also lucky enough to spend each night in a beautiful accommodation in Strahan call Captains Rest. Our days were spent discovering new locations to shoot, flying our drones at golden light at one of the most dramatic harbours in Tasmania and then topped it off with Graham crashing his drone!
