Freshwater Cove
Run by Peter Tucker, Freshwater Cove is an incredible fishing camp in the remote Kimberley region of Western Australia. The waters around it are virtually untouched and it offers a spectacular range of fishing from bluewater to creeks, including the iconic barramundi. It's a special place for a fishing trip, or just to enjoy nature's wonders, such as Montgomery Reef.

Lacepede Islands in Western Australia ... Claimed by America!
The Lacepede Islands are small atolls rising out of the sea north of Broome. They were once a rich source of guano or phosphate fertilizer but they also played a fascinating role in shaping the north west including being claimed as part of America.
Montgomery Reef Kimberley Australia - UAV
Montgomery Reef is an reef off the Kimberley coast of Western Australia. It encompasses a total area of 400 square kilometres (154 sq mi) making it Australia's largest inshore reef.
The reef is subject to unusual tidal movements to a maximum of 10 metres. When the tide is out vast lagoons, sandstone islets and a central mangrove island are revealed. The outward movement of the tide forms a torrent of water, creating a river cutting through the reef with hundreds of cascading waterfalls. At low tide more than 4 metres of reef can be exposed.
The area attracts migratory wading birds, feeding turtles, manta rays, black tipped reef sharks, and dugongs.

Cycling to Fremantle FROM Peppermint Grove pt 2 of 2 PERTH WA
PEPPPERMINT GROVE MEADS KEANE'S POINT MINUM COVE COTTESLOE WA WESTERN AUSTRALIA MAR 2008 Perth has a comprehensive network of cycle and dual-use paths. One of the most popular routes for leisure cyclists and walkers is a circuit around the Swan River at the doorstep of the city. Many riverside routes are clearly signposted and detailed cycle maps can be obtained from most metropolitan bicycle retailers. It is well worth diverting your eyes from the traffic and tight corners to steal a glance at the magnificent Freshwater Bay. The Mosman Tea Rooms provide opportunity for refreshment before tackling the steepest climb of the ride. If the ascent up Johnson Parade doesnt take your breath away, the views across the bay from the top will. A short detour along Wellington Street to see the orange limestone cliffs of Blackwall Reach is well worth the side trip before heading west to Cottesloe. Not only is Cottesloe one of Perths finest beaches, its also home to a great array of shops and cafes.
