How Friendly is Russia | Solo Hitchhike Mt Elbrus to Moscow | Vlog #14
Have you ever wondered how friendly is Russia to foreigners and/or how they treat black people? Well, let’s find out through the eyes of a solo hitchhiker travelling from Mt Elbrus to Moscow. Perhaps this video will help dispel the stereotypes about Russia and her people. This epic backpacking trip took me two days to cover a journey of 1,918km (Azau, Mt Elbrus to Pyatigorsk 330km; Pyatigorsk to Rostov-on-Don 506km, and Rostov-on-Don to Moscow 1,082km)...

ST. PETERSBURG TRAVEL GUIDE - Best View in the City!
On our first full day in St Petersburg, Russia, we spent the morning exploring the city with Free Tour St Petersburg -- a free city sights walking tour. It was great and we have many fun facts and details to share all week in our St Petersburg Travel Guide!
After the free tour, Katie and I went to find the best viewpoint of St Petersburg, which happens to be at St Isaac's Cathedral! This is the ONLY place in the city that you can get up high and view everything from above.
The majority of St Petersburg is built on marsh/swamp land, so they cannot build high tall buildings, which means most areas are quite low profile. The cathedral is one of the taller buildings in the city and hosts an amazing vantage point!
Stay tuned for our Russia Travel Guide on all of the best sights to see across St Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan and the Golden Ring!

EATING PINECONE PANCAKES IN RUSSIA | Trans-Siberian Railway
In this chapter of our Russian adventure along the Trans-Siberian Railway, we stop in Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk and try some unique Russian food!
We're finally in Siberia after about a week on the train. Our first adventure is hiking The Columns. These beautiful magma pillars were formed when lava spurted up from an ancient seabed and cooled as they came in contact with the water. The seabed washed away, turned into a forest, and voila. The perfect place for a Russian travel vlog.
We also found a Siberian specialty food in Krasnoyarsk. Pinecones. Being Canadian, I didn't know you could eat these things. We have snack on a few on top of pancakes during this journey as well.
A bit of a background story. This is a train journey of 10,000 km across Russia, the biggest country in the world. 25 days to visit Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Ulan-Ude, and Vladivostok.

MOSCOW, RUSSIA - VACATION TRAVEL GUIDE
#Moscow – a city standing proudly at the helm of the great nation of #Russia.
Your #vacation to #Moscow, #Russia is bound to be a special one. From the multicolored spires of St. Basil’s Cathedral to the sturdy red walls of the Kremlin, there is much to see and do.
#Moscow has long been at the forefront of the creative world. #Tour Moscow to follow in the footsteps of Tolstoy and Chekhov, among others, and join in the sense of pride Russia feels for its literary tradition.
Visit the Memorial Museum of Cosmonauts, where you can learn about the epic space race that lasted from 1955 to 1972.
A city of creativity and innovation, Moscow is also aware of its history. Visit the Fallen Monument Park. After the fall of the Soviet Union, countless statues and monuments were removed from their pedestals and moved to this park. Over the years, more modern artwork and sculptures have been added, turning the park into a strange, yet peaceful graveyard of former icons.
